  1. Hi team Reading at Chapter 9 of the book Machine Language for Beginners: https://www.atariarchives.org/mlb/chapter9.php ...this statement came to my attention: "In BASIC, DATA announces that the items following the word DATA are to be considered pieces of information (as opposed to being thought of as parts of the program). That is, the program will probably use this data, but the data are not BASIC commands. In ML, such a zone of "non-program" is called a table. It is unique only in that the program counter never starts trying to run through a table to carry out instructions. Program control is never transferred to a table since there are no meaningful instructions inside a table." I did some research on this, and found this thread: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/2022489/how-instructions-are-differentiated-from-data Here says that since machine code instructions are just binary numbers, as are data, there's no way to differentiate. Is there a practical way to differentiate data from code on Assembler? Kind regards, Luis.
  2. Hi there Google sites is no longer working for me, so I have moved the Bill Williams's Atari Sound page to this other site: https://lbaeza.neocities.org/BWAS/ In addition to that and just for fun I translated it to Spanish, you can find it here if you're interested: https://lbaeza.neocities.org/BWASES/ This is a backup from the version hosted on Atariware. Any issues, please let me know here. Kind regards, Luis.
  3. Is the Bill Williams credited on the PCB the same Bill Williams who created Salmon Run and other jewels? Regards, Luis.
  4. Hi I have scanned and uploaded the Multificha manual for the version sold in Chile, you can find it here: https://archive.org/details/multificha-manual-de-uso Kind regards, Luis.
  5. Hi I have scanned and uploaded the Multieditor manual for the version sold in Chile, you can find it here: https://archive.org/details/multieditor-manual-de-uso Kind regards, Luis.
  6. Just a heads up, the spanish translation for this manual is now available here: https://www.atariware.cl/wiki/Biblioteca/MCS6500 Kind regards, Luis.
  7. Hi I am looking for an Maxflash programmer cartridge. Please take a look at the picture, and notice the female connector at the end of the cartridge. This is the cartridge I am looking for. Given that I live in Southamerica, I will have to pay for international shipping, so I am looking for a more convenient price than the offering price at Atarimax.com. I am not interested in any accessories, just the cartridge itself. If you happen to have one and you're willing to sell it to another atarian that will make good use of it, please send me a PM with an offer. Thanks in advance, Luis. PS: You can check my reputation as a buyer on my profile here or at Ebay, https://www.ebay.com/fdbk/feedback_profile/lbaeza
  8. Hi Found this picture showing a 520ST box on eBay, in similar generic one color text box. My guess is that they switched to this box style during the Tramiel era because they are cheaper to print. Kind regards, Luis.

  10. Hi Missile Command was included in the form of ROM within the system, and Bug Hunt and Flight Simulator II were included also, but as a physical cartridge. Kind regards, Luis.
  11. My last order from retrogames.co.uk Just arrived. Regards, Luis.
  12. Hi @Atarigrub Attached to this post you can find the stereo version of the FLACs for both sides of the cassette. I tried them on Altirra and they load just fine. Kind regards. Luis. jfirst-stereo-b.flac jfirst-stereo-a.flac
  13. Hi @Atarigrub I will do my best to get my hands on my stereo deck to make stereo FLACs, hopefully during this weekend. Unfortunately the cassette came without box and instructions, I suspect this might have been part of those Datasoft packs that came with the disk and cassette, I am aware Bruce Lee came like this. Kind regards, Luis.
  14. Hi @Farb I finally got my hands on a Juno First tape, this is somewhat elusive. I checked on the A8Preservation site and I can see that a tape image is missing, this isn't even listed there. Please find attached to this post the FLAC for each of the tape sides, its corresponding CAS file (made using a8cas-convert.exe v1.3.1), and an image scan of each side of the tape, together with some screenshots. I made the FLAC files using Audacity. I made sure to select "None" on Dither, under the High-Quality section of the Preferences. I tested the FLAC files using Altirra. Unfortunately, loading the FLAC for Side B fails, although a valid CAS file was successfully generated from it. I hope you list me as a contributor on A8Preservation's Juno First tape entry. If you need anything else, just let me know. Kind regards. Luis. jfirst-b.cas jfirst-a.cas jfirst-b.flac jfirst-a.flac
