I liked the system all my life but today I lost it. after the 100000000000000000 flickering blue screen. i took it and smashed it into pieces. it fucking deserves itr any way. PIECE OF SHIT. i am so angry

That was my first Unix computer. We used them my freshman year at college. Man were those things SLOW! We used to be jealous of the upperclassmen who had the Spacstation 10's in the other lab. My workstation was named Nightshade (they were all plant names). Man that brings back so many memories... Tempest 1027875[/snapback] Heh... you *know* you want one of my Macs... Just *do* it! Actually... have *I* got a deal for you... I'll trade you the whole Mac IIvx *and* a Sparcstation 10 (or you can even choose a Sparcstation 5 with the 110Mhz card and upgraded memory) for a decent 7800 system with a couple sticks and maybe a power supply or two. You have to pick up the shipping on your items, though. (I'll pay the shipping on the 7800. Heh). You'll be able to relive your memories *and* see how much better it would have been on the Sparc, at the same time. Seriously, if someone lived nearby to Sacramento, I'd let them pretty much pick and choose from the nice machines that I've got sitting out in the garage for a trade like that... but shipping is a *killer* on these big heavy systems. Crazy Paranoid's Obsole... er, "CLASSIC" PC blowout sale!!! We're practically GIVING these things away! Heh. Oh... I just saw that you were talking about the Sparcstation 5 versus the 10. Actually, interestingly enough... the Sparcstation 5 that I have runs circles around the 10. Depending on how you've got your system configured, the 10 isn't always the fastest. They came in a number of different configurations, and there were a lot of upgrade paths on them. I paid more than $1000 for the 10... and someone gave me the 5... and the 5 blows the doors off the 10. Heh. i'll buy ur mac how much?
