Been an exciting year for Bubsy with the first two games re-released on the Steam platform this last year. Sponge Fox and I interviewed Michael Berlyn and Faran Thomason and we will have those interviews up shortly. So a week or so ago Flatzone contacted me about some Bubsy facts and if they could use some clips from my Fractured Furry Tales Speedrun videos. No problem on the speedrun videos was my answer, and as for the facts they were looking for the weight and height of Bubsy Bobcat. I poured through the information I had and just like those at Flatzone I couldn't find the height and weight of Bubsy either, so I turned to the best source on Bubsy, the creator of the character, Michael Berlyn.
Thanks to the efforts of GGN over on FreeJag we were able to unpack the picture for the water levels on Bubsy. Here is the picture for those levels. (Maybe not in the exactly right pallet, but close)

Well, let's face it, Bubsy Bobcat is based off a fairly generic designed of a animorphic cat that walks on two legs, wears a shirt with no pants, and all that. So naturally there will be similarities with other cartoon characters right?

Today I stumbled across a gold mine of Bubsy pictures that was collected by mechayamcha off of various DeviantArtist sites. I enjoyed all of these!
(And I was really touched when Mechayamcha thanked me for helping keep Bubsy alive. Made me realize I needed to get my website up for Bubsy fandom. I made this blog instead!)
I'm working to find unique Bubsy art (and I'm finding a lot) and ask permission of the artists to feature the work here and give them credit for their work. It is the right thing to do, and it gives me a chance to meet other Bubsy fans out there. (Or people who hate Bubsy... either way they remember him.)
