For those that missed the greatness of seeing videos on "YouTube 1911" where YouTube celebrated a bogus 100 year anniversary on April 1, 2011, you can still see the Bubsy Bobcat cartoons in that format!
You can check those fine cartoons of yesteryear right here:

Some this change made the cartoon more enjoyable. I think I agree.
Evening Bubsy fans! So this is where I stop into YouTube to see what new stuff is going on with Bubsy this month. Years from now it will be probably videos that used to be there. First off wasn't the New Horizons past Pluto a blast last month? Loved it. Ok, so what kinda of activities are we seeing with Bubsy this month? Well a lot of reviews, which are basically people
Yawn. But according to Vinesauce Vinny who was extra busy making reviews both the Bubsy 3D and the Bubsy 3D
Today I stumbled across a gold mine of Bubsy pictures that was collected by mechayamcha off of various DeviantArtist sites. I enjoyed all of these!
(And I was really touched when Mechayamcha thanked me for helping keep Bubsy alive. Made me realize I needed to get my website up for Bubsy fandom. I made this blog instead!)
And now the special Halloween edition here on the Bubsy blog!

Very nice! Always love seeing Bubsy mixed with contemporary material.
Looks like this might actually come in a shirt?

Found this art style very fascinating.

Got this great Halloween themed Bubsy picture from Sponge Fox called "The Hunch Bub of Notre Lame". LOL love that title!
Thanks Sponge Fox, submissions are welco
" I have drawn him, though...only the once. I'm flattered, of course, and pleasantly surprised to realize I'm not the only fan. So anyway, awesome. I may just have to draw another picture of him, if I find the time. Thanks. Good luck with the blog. "

The picture was part of a video game survey that Kid-Apocalypse filled out. To see the complete picture, check out his art site!
Ok, when I am not searching for new life in Bubsy, I am actually enjoying mankind's search for life elsewhere.
Taking a paws (see what I did there) from Bubsy, I have loved following the space program. The Space Shuttle program was a great part of my child hood, Skylab, etc. But nothing was more fun than "Neptune all Night" and the Voyager 2 flyby of Neptune in 1989.
I have a video channel on YouTube where I recorded some of that:
Later there was the probe that landed on Titan.
Just picked up a new game for the Atari Lynx called "Hotdog".
I'm kinda stoked about it because basically the game is just a few pixels away from being Bubsy. The similarities...
1) You land on enemies to knock them out and get points.
2) One hit knocks you out.
3) Character has that "games with personality" look to him. The character is drawn at a similar angle to Bubsy.
4) Character will stamp feet when you make him wait.
5) Character rides items in the game much like in Bubsy.
6)
I'm working to find unique Bubsy art (and I'm finding a lot) and ask permission of the artists to feature the work here and give them credit for their work. It is the right thing to do, and it gives me a chance to meet other Bubsy fans out there. (Or people who hate Bubsy... either way they remember him.)
When asking Vilsy if I could post the art here I got this reply
" Hi there! Sure, I would be happy to have my Bubsy pic on your blog. I didn't know there were others who loved th
So over at the Officious Bubsy Fan Server there is a bit of celebrating going on for Happy MARIO or MAR10 Day. As best explained:
So along with this we saw the following:
Great stuff!! Bubsy has a lot owed to Mario. After all, Bubsy was all the speed of Sonic with the vulnerabilities of Mario.
Others things shared over there... actually is a lot. But I liked these two promotional posters that Xinny foun

To start this gallery off, we have Sassil16 with some cute pictures..

Was Cruiz'in Atariage and found a new user who had been here a little over a month by the name of BubsyFan101. Always good to meet another Bubsy fan since we are a unique breed I think.
So while there is new material on the internet (which I will feature next month), allow me to draw your attention to some things going on here on Atariage. First off there is BubsyFan101's intro message:

SpongeFox finished the game a few days ago (I was amazed) and after about three nights of solid play for hours I was able to collect the 75 hero tokens needed to take on Oinker, the third baws (boss). At the moment I love playing the Bubsy, Woolie, and Arnold levels with Virgil levels seeming very laborious. I HATE the pick ups in Virgil's levels... currently. I LOVE the boss fights for the second and third boss. LOVE it. . They took a while to get through, but somehow I felt challeng

These were interesting screen shots of Bubsy 3D. I like the one where Bubsy is in what looks like a city street and he is facing the camera. A BIG part of the problem I had with Bubsy 3D was that you looked at his back throughout the entire game. Bubsy is probably facing the screen since he just got back from dieing.
First off, 10 am PST October 30th will start the 24 hours of Bubsy answering questions. This should get interesting!
Secondly, Do You Know Gaming has released a very informative video on Bubsy. They approached us at the Bubsy Fan Blog on it not too long ago to use materials from the Bubsy Fan Blog, and in the end added even more information. Well done guys!
And finally, today I got my PS4 to play one of my copies of Bubsy! So as soon as I get my regular or purrf
Tonight I was looking for Bubsy Bobcat material using search engines other than Google. I tried one call PicSearch...
http://www.picsearch.com
It was there that I ran into the art work of Phillip Vaughan who helped re-imagine the Bubsy character for the 1995 release for the PC platform "Super Bubsy", perhaps the best graphics for the 2D version of the Bubster. I found his art gallery at:

As always I like to ask the artists if I
With the recent advertisements with the usual Bubsy red exclamation mark, and later with the black shield shirt, I decided to have a little fun with gimp and make the yellow exclamation mark shirt from Fractured Furry Tales as seen off to the side.
One could argue that the the fairy tales were fractured, even including Bubsy's shirt. At the beginning of the game his shirt is yellow and all intro show a yellow exclamation mark. At the end of the game in the final closing scene the exclamati
Just wanted to wish everyone that reads the Bubsy Fan Blog a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. It is nearly 2013 and we have not forgotten the Bubster.
Robert R gave us his addition by showing a massive enemy combo at the beginning of FFT. Well done Robert for showing us how that's done.
More to come in 2013!
Happy New Year you bunch of yarn ball chasers!! (Or balls, cards, or atoms depending on which Bubsy game you like to play most.)
Really not much going on with Bubsy at the moment, so I searched through Ebay, games, games, games, posters, the Bubsy promo pin I have watched go from $40-something to currently $25. I might have to pick that up at some point. And then I saw these interesting cases:
We have this seller to thank for the pictures:

Discovered a website called Scratch where people make online applications and programs:
What is great about this is there are a few Bubsy games on this site!
I'll feature some on this link but one is Bubsy in Scrtchnapped.
A cute game. I have downloaded the Scratch file. Not sure how that would work normally aside from the Scratch environment on the browser, but thought it was worth a mirror here.
Other games to be reviewed soon.
Evening all. Tonight we look into playing Bubsy 1, Bubsy 2, and Bubsy in Sonic 2 on the Sega Flashback Portable, or Sega Gopher, or whatever you want to call it!
(Apologies for the sound being out of sync... blah!) If you would like to try these out on your Sega Portable Flashback the Bubsy compilation is attached. ------- We had a fun side chat at the video was recording: David B hi Some Call Me Anto This is preferred over the Switch presentation Some Call Me Anto That i
Hey Bubsy fans, I was showing off my Youtube channel to family and we watched a few of my Bubsy: Fractured Furry Tales videos from 2008 and I was like "Mannn... I have gotten much better since that time." So I played a new speedrun video. The ironic thing was when I did my first speed run video years ago I was able to get the total time in under 40 minutes by deleting the scenes in between where the balls were being counted which would take about a minute a piece. In the 2014 video it is als
Today when I got home I get this message in my Atariage mailbox... So here is what the link says: LOS ANGELES, CA (November 15, 2015) — Retroism, a publisher and distributor of classic and classically inspired games owned by Tommo, Inc., announces the revival of Bubsy…yes, that Bubsy!
Accolade’s most notorious character showed up on our doorstep, bedraggled and mumbling about being doomed to a legacy of shame and obscurity. But we’ve cleaned him up and given him a new lease on life, a

It strikes me as interesting that for Ninendo gaming that Bubsy Bobcat would be chosen. But as I'm finding out by interviewing the DeviantARTists and others, many people had a Nintendo/Sega and Bubsy was one of the first games they had. I know that was my (Doctor Clu's) case for the Atari Jaguar. So if Bubsy was not a mascot for any system he is at lea
Working on content for the Bubsy episode of the Jaguar Game by Game podcast by Shinto. Got exciting news: We have an interview with Michael Berlyn, the creator of Bubsy, and Faran Thomason, the producer of Bubsy FFT for the Atari Jaguar!! We want to ask them some really gripping questions that will blow the listener's hair back!! Have you ever wanted to ask either of those two a question? Now's your chance! Submit your questions in the comments below! Need questions for Faran by
