So today I got two new Bubsy cases from Russia.

A comparison of the Bubsy II cases with the Russia cases on the bottom and the Genesis (USA) and Mega Drive (UK) cases on the top row.
Here we have pictures of the back of the Russian cartridges.

Tonight was a great night.
So I've been playing with porting the mod files from Bubsy: Fractured Furry Tales from the Atari Jaguar to play on the Sega Genesis. As I posted previously, I got the mods to play on a mod converter (Toy Story mod). There were NTSC and PAL mod binaries made. The NTSC binaries played better but faster, the PAL binaries were at about true speed but with more static. In the end, I went with the PAL mod binaries.
So then I learned of the Sega emulator on th
(Yes yes, I know, this was written in January. What can I say? I'm kicking butt in some developments right now so knocking out stuff now to clear the books for when I go camping later)
So while trying to get a mod to play on the Sega Genesis (or more specifically my Sega Gopher portable) I came across the resource to give me hours and hours of jukebox fun... through VGM music. The VGM being the music resource type used most of the time on the Genesis.
They had the VGM files for the
Hey Bubsy fans! Have you ever wanted to play Bubsy Bobcat: Fractured Furry Tales from the Atari Jaguar on the Sega Genesis?
Well you can't.
But today you can play all the mod music from that Jaguar game on your Sega Genesis, or in this case the Sega Gopher or whatever you call that Sega handheld system that Atgames sells.
File is attached, (Called "Game.zip") along with all the best versions of Bubsy to play on the Genesis and a few modified games with Bubsy in it.
And as a a
Awesome news folks. I mean extremely awesome. There is a new game that Bubsy has been added to.
Isn't that just amazing? You can find the patch file here: http://www.romhacking.net/hacks/3275/ Also I found the Russian Bubsy version and added it to the Bubsy set. I believe the sound is better in it when used with the Sega Flashback Portable but try it out for yourself. -------------- Also on a more somber note, when I was sharing the above video on Michael Berlyn (creato
Evening all. Tonight we look into playing Bubsy 1, Bubsy 2, and Bubsy in Sonic 2 on the Sega Flashback Portable, or Sega Gopher, or whatever you want to call it!
(Apologies for the sound being out of sync... blah!) If you would like to try these out on your Sega Portable Flashback the Bubsy compilation is attached. ------- We had a fun side chat at the video was recording: David B hi Some Call Me Anto This is preferred over the Switch presentation Some Call Me Anto That i
The above picture was one I found when looking for something New Year related to Bubsy. And I found that JustinandDennis on DeviantArt not only had the ticket, but some good Bubsy material, so check it out. There have been some challenges in 2016 but you know what? This year had it's gems as well. This is the year that we got to see Bubsy make a come back, kinda. The Bubsy Two-Fur game was released to steam. Nice stuff. And some activity with the Modern Bubsy project. We saw the Bu
So how are things? Me, been camping, playtesting ST hacks for the Jaguar and playtesting Atari 2600 games on the Flashback Portable. However, I have looked for new material for Bubsy. Sometimes searches find the new material, and sometimes I find it a few months later. Like the gem below! I like how they use the fighting animation that is all dust and claws. However they add a punching and kicking animation for Bubsy for the purpose of the gameplay. I appreciate this. Someday I want
So I was cruiz'in Soundcloud as I do from time to time looking for new stuff on the Bubster, and low and behold, I didn't just find the usual remake of the original Bubsy opening tune, or sound samples in a techno beat. I found a whole new soundtrack!
Check out some of these new and refreshing tunes. I think they really captured the whimsical nature of Bubsy.

A fun quick retroactive entry for September. First off, 44 forgettable facts about Bubsy, released in May? How did I miss this?
And a positive video released on Bubsy 3D? Awesome, and released August 31st, 2016!
More about Bubsy soon! -Doctor Clu
So we had a very busy time of things in May and June. July what can I say? I partied. I mean that is what you do after you talk to the producer that started Bubsy and the man who produced the Jaguar version of Bubsy, which is my favorite. So this account will be just to say, how's it been? We're still here. While on Facebook there was this picture I've seen a few times. So cute with all the baby Bobcats. But remember where there are babies, there is usually a mom nearby... Oh,
After a lot of work, two interviews with Michael Berlyn and Faran Thomason and all the questions submitted by the Bubsy Bobcat Fan Blog we now get a fresh perspective of the Bubsy game for the Atari Jaguar with Shinto!
I have been half way though this well put together two and half hour podcast and I am impressed by the information Shinto put together.
Here is the link to that podcast:
Good work Shinto!
So we've been having fun here on the Bubsy Bobcat Fan Blog with our tracking of fan art, music, news, speedruns, and lately the interviews with developers and producers that brought us Bubsy.
A friend of mine was inspired by that and decided to launch a similar blog for his favorite mascot, Crash Bandicoot. So here is the link, go give that new blog a warm welcome!
And to start this off, here i
Hey all, we'll go ahead and post this a little early... presenting...
the interview with Michael Berlyn the creator of Bubsy Bobcat!!!
SpongeFox and I had a blast talking to Michael as he talked about a few of his projects from OO Topos his earliest game, projects at Infocom (Infidel, Cutthroats, Fooblitzky, and Suspended) as well as his musical experience "Hot Mustard", and his latest addictive iOS game, Ogg.
And naturally lots and lots of behind the scenes on the creation of Bubs
As previously mentioned, we took questions for Faran Thomason (Producer of the Atari Jaguar game of Bubsy) for an interview, and FINALLY we have the interview on Youtube! He was a lot of fun to talk to and hopefully we'll cover other Atari Jaguar games in the future.
Here is the complete picture that SpongeFox drew while we were interviewing him.
Coming up, the interview with Michael Berlyn. Stay tuned!
Just a quick shout out to Bubsy Bobcat and congrats on his 23rd birthday!
Been an exciting year for Bubsy with the first two games re-released on the Steam platform this last year. Sponge Fox and I interviewed Michael Berlyn and Faran Thomason and we will have those interviews up shortly. Those interviews will also give some insight for the Bubsy episode on the Jaguar Game by Game Podcast.
Speaking of which Bubsy fans, if you l

Thanks to Sponge Fox we have this great happy birthday greeting for Rob Paulsen... only 15 days late!
(Ooops! Sorry Rob)
It is funny how I believe it was around his birthday I popped in my copy of Animaniacs one night. Love that show but I hadn't watched that in ages. Oh wow that show is timeless. And naturally I watch the show listening to Yakko and thinking with a slight alteration in voice we have the Bubster.
I was looking at Rob's picture and he kinda resembles Yak
Well Hi everyone! Hope you had a great valentine's day And if not, stay strong... Thanks for that SpongeFox! We got some great news and some good laughs in this February edition of the Bubsy blog. I liked this video released a month ago. Bubsy HD, not much to speak of, but good to see someone giving a crack at making a Bubsy game so who knows what it might eventually develop into!
HOLD THE PHONE!!! I was going to post some ho-hum videos about Bubsy Two-Fur videos but
Hello Bubsy fans! We are through a busy holiday season spent with friends and family, and now I turn to give some love to our favorite Bobcat!
I will confess, I was spending a lot of the last month playing and giving input on the recently released Star Raiders 2 for the Atari 8-bit computers. Star Raiders is a love of mine from WAYYY back. Also helped contribute sound for the ST ports to the Atari Jaguar of Moon Patrol and Joust. Glad I could contribute something in bringing those r
Today when I got home I get this message in my Atariage mailbox... So here is what the link says: LOS ANGELES, CA (November 15, 2015) — Retroism, a publisher and distributor of classic and classically inspired games owned by Tommo, Inc., announces the revival of Bubsy…yes, that Bubsy!
Accolade’s most notorious character showed up on our doorstep, bedraggled and mumbling about being doomed to a legacy of shame and obscurity. But we’ve cleaned him up and given him a new lease on lif
While searching for new Bubsy material, which has been easier than you might imagine, this time I tried the yahoo image search and found it had one feature I liked over the Google image search engine: The ability to keep looking for images. Not just one continue at the end of the page but multiple continues.
And then I found a treasure chest, the last one being the ruby of the bunch.
Here is an image gallery of Tumblr gems that were all in the gallery of "accolade"...
And now the special Halloween edition here on the Bubsy blog!
Very nice! Always love seeing Bubsy mixed with contemporary material.
Looks like this might actually come in a shirt?
Found this art style very fascinating.

Got this great Halloween themed Bubsy picture from Sponge Fox called "The Hunch Bub of Notre Lame". LOL love that title!
Thanks Sponge Fox, submissions are welco

I received a note from Mike today,
"As of 9/11/2015, I am cancer free after 7 months of chemo and radiation therapy. Please post this information, and thank you for your kind words and well wishes.
This is too awesome. Mike, glad you are better, you had us worried there for a bit.
What was awesome was SpongeFox also sent me a message about it with a picture. She heard the news
During the month of May Noxid tweeted a new Bubsy fact every day. I really got a kick out of some that Noxid and Pingurules came up with. I asked Noxid if we could feature those daily facts here and he wrote back:
No problem, I've got all the original images...
Feel free to share! I take responsibility for any inaccuracies, but to the best of my knowledge they're either truthful (at time of writing) or unverifiably correct, the best kind of correct ;3"
Agreed. So in
