Time for an update....
In the year since my last TI99 update post to this blog, a lot has happened in my TI99 life. I bought a lot of games and cartridges for it. I bought a defective speech module from ebay that I got working. My floppy drives started to act funny, so I cleaned them and replaced the belts, but my DSK1 was still not working well, as determined by the disk manager II test utility. So, I went on a bit of an upgrade mode. Just for fun, I replaced all of the PEB LEDs with bright bl
Hi all, just wanted to share a funny story with you. As I mentioned in my last blog, I bought a Timex Sinclair from a guy who sounded like he was in his early 20's. I did not meet him as he left the items with his dad for me to pick up. In the Kijiji posting, he mentioned it comes with a game called Archer. I'm up to two games! :-)
Once I was happy with the operation of the 2nd I plugged the PEB in and tried to get some disk access as I ha

I have a lot of retro computers and retro computer projects so there should be enough stuff to talk about here. My first computer was an Atari 400, which I gave to my brother when I got an Atari 800XL, eventually got the 1050 disk drive, then sold the lot to make way for a Commodore 64c as everyone else in the area had one, and nobody had the Atari! :-( My best friend’s dad gave me his cassette drive an
