Update Ere The Weekend

DID A LITTLE WORK DURING my lunch break today on The Battle of Gilgamesh. Some of the notes are wildly out of tune but either a) they aren't that out of tune or b) it's so fast - in any case, it doesn't sound so bad to me.

I'll attach the music also so you can see what I'm working from here. ;)

EDIT: I suppose a few notes on the music are in order. First, notice that there are 16th-note triplets in there. The version of my music driver I'm using doesn't allow for triplets, so they are translated into 32nd notes and the preceding 8th note is now an 8th+32nd. Also, I can't get 190 bpm, so it is at 225 bpm. I could put it at 150 bpm, but faster is probably better than slower. :)

Tommy did helpfully put some of the less-commonly-used notes' voice+value markings right there in the music, though sometimes they are wrong. :ponder:

:D

Coding in music when it has been arranged for the 2600 like this goes pretty fast. The hardest part is figuring out which parts, and how, to patternize.

What!? Impossible! Out of curiosity, which ones are wrong? I arranged it like, before Christmas, so I don't really remember even doing it.

It sounds fine to me; those notes that sound out of tone are tritones, so they're intended to sound bad. I purposely used notes (like G4 [Lead, pitch 12]) that aren't in tune to achieve the dissonance. At the time, I was going through every video game MIDI I had on my computer, learning each of them by ear. The ones I liked, I arranged for 2600 just for fun. I have like 6 more (mostly Final Fantasy, and of course, The Legend of Zelda, although Zelda didn't respond too well to the limitations of the 2600) video game MIDIs that I have arranged for the 2600, just to keep my transposing skills in practice. Or something.

Sounds good! :D

6th line down, where it says:

L/26 Sq/23

Lead 26 is like a F2 or something (not an F#4) and Sq 23 is E, not F.

I'll post the rest soon...
