I just received my Tapwave Zodiac handheld in the mail yesterday. I spent the majority of last night trying to get software and emulators installed onto it. There's aren't too many videos out there about this unit, so I took some time today to put together a YouTube system overview video. Emulation seems OK, but not as good as I was hoping (Considering I have the version 2 with 128 megabytes of RAM). NES, SMS, and Game Boy all run at full speed. SNES and Genesis are pretty poor, especially with sound enabled. Strangely, Atari 2600 emulation seems to struggle.. That's one I don't quite understand. MAME only runs well when it's classic early '80s arcade games (Tempest is quite excellent with the Zodiac's analog stick). Unfortunately anything from the mid-'80s and on is pretty much unplayable--Even CPS1 games give me a "insufficient memory" error and refuse to load.. Quite strange, because I can run these on my Modded XBOX which only has half the memory of my Zodiac.
