OK, I'm weird. So? (part 2)
Not only am I weird now, I was back when I was a kid, too. I came across something I made when I was 9 years old called "Potato Chip Weekly." It's dated June 13, 1993. The probable backstory is maybe this was made back when I was getting allergy shots. We had to wait around for a half hour just to make sure I didn't have any reactions. Back then, there was a pharmacy in the doctors' office building. (Last time I went, which was umpteen years ago, it had disappeared.) And that pharmacy probably sold potato chips. And Mom or Dad must have got me a bag of said chips. And I must have had the idea to write a magazine about them. Well, fast forward 17 years later, and I'm going to revive the magazine. And this time, I'm going to do it with Microsoft Word, something that didn't exist back then (and if it did, it probably wasn't accessable to the normal person, or worked a whole lot differently than it does now.) And since then, with the rise of the Internet, and me having my own webpage, I can set up a Potato Chip Weekly website with issues of the monthly magazine. Issue 2 as well as the website I plan to finish by August 1. And I'll have a fun time doing research (read: eating potato chips) for it. Attached is a scan of the cover of the first one, the one made in 1993.
