And Solaris is great too, indeed, even when stealing the place here that'd rightfully belong to Galaxian

Hmmm... never thought of Solaris as a vertical shooter in the traditional sense. I tend to equate vertical shooters with death-from-above games, not so much above-and-behind games. Solaris always felt more to me like an extension of Moonsweeper or Planet of Zoom. Not to say Solaris isn't an amazing game - just one I wouldn't have thought to put in that category.

Activisions third best effort, right after H.E.R.O. and Seaquest!

Sequest? really? I can think of at least 5 Activision games better than Seaquest (uh-oh, I am about to make another list...)

 

As for #1, only tomorrow will tell.
