phaxda
Holy crap. You guys have a lot! I have: Wii Sports Wii Play Tiger Woods 07 ...and that's kept me happy for the last 6 months. I plan to buy Wii Fit when it comes out and maybe Guitar Here 3 when the price drops. I am a cheapskate.
Gregory DG
Yeah, just got mine back in early December... so not a lot for me: Wii Sports (naturally) Wii Play (like everyone else too) Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga Mercury Meltdown Revolution Street Fighter II: Turbo Galaga 90 Military Madness Looking forward to seeing some emulators soon now that the encryption has been broken. neotokeo2001
Wii Sports Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess Metroid Prime 3 Super Paper Mario Super Mario Galaxy Ghost Squad Resident Evil 4 Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles Nintendo Wii Zapper with Link's Crossbow Training I have been playing a lot of Umbrella Chronicles and Ghost Squad. They are must haves for the Wii. And you have to have the Wii Zapper with Link's Crossbow Training. I didn't like it at first but wouldn't want to play the games without it now. n8littlefield
I won't bother listing my VC games (I've done that in another thread already I believe) - but for commerical games... EDIT: Updated with opinions. Wii Sports/Wii Play - Both good games, but really only for group play or short stints. Personal favoriates are Tennis/Bowling in Wii Sports and the tank and pong games in Wii Play. Cars - Pretty good, although controls don't feel quite as responsive as Excitetruck. It's also very quick to label you off the road and force you back on track. Chicken Little Ace in Action - I LOVE this game. Easily the best budget surprise I've had in a long time. Basically a Ratchet & Clank clone with wiimote controls. The Godfather - Very fun - although I'm admittedly not terribly far into it. Controls are really fun. EA did a very good job with this one. Rayman Raving Rabbids - Fun in groups, although a few too many "shake until your arms hurt" minigames. Resident Evil 4 - Best version of a great game. I'm terrible at it, just like I was on the other consoles, but it's something I will eventually beat. Koronopia - Fun, but I've heard that Mercury Meltdown is better than it. The unlockable marbles are pretty funny though. Excite Truck - Really fun. I would say right now this is probably the game that I've played the most on the console. It's like an offroad version of Burnout. Spiderman 3 - Not that great. My son is obsessed with Spidey so I bought it basically for him to run around the virtual city and shoot webs. Guitar Hero 3 - Awesome. The Wii guitar is much more responsive to activating star power than my old PS2 guitar. The number of original tracks really surprised me too. Sonic - Pretty good. I don't like the storyline and the format of chosing a chapter in a book, but the actual gameplay is really good. Very nice looking game too. Mario Galaxy - Absolutely amazing - you really can't say enough good about this game. Marvel Ultimate Alliance - Pretty good - I'm not terribly far in right now. I wish this game didn't require waggle though - it would be better with standard (Classic) controls. SSX - So far my favorite in the series. Very nice looking and the controls are nice and responsive. EA really did a good job in their Wii ports in getting the controls right. Elebits - Good. Feels quite unpolished in parts, but the feeling of throwing things around is very well done. I'm glad I didn't pay full price for it though. Medal of Honor Vanguard - Fun. Controls are pretty good. I'm a bit partial to the series so it's possible I give it more slack than others might. Geometry Wars Galaxies - Buy this now. Great game, perfect for the retro fan. There are a ton of levels and the game still looks slick despite being in standard def. Still can't decide which control scheme to use - they both have their pros and cons. Zelda Crossbow Training - Surprisingly good. Definately worth the $20. The Zapper does a great job stabilizing your aim and although it's short, the game has much more going for it than I would have expecte. +Cafeman
I like the review & comments w/list so ... - Wii Sports -- (A-) what a great game, a game I'd never imagined that I'd actually enjoy. But needs more golf courses. - Super Paper Mario (?) I don't dig it too much, kids played it, then it sat on the shelf for the past 1/2 year. Seemed pretty good but not my thing. - Metroid Prime 3 Corruption -- Although it appeals to me and it looks really good, I have not actually convinved myself to find time for it. I can't believe I never played it yet beyond the first hour that first night months ago! But have watched Caf jr play it quite a bit. Seems a worthy third part, but I had just played Metroid Prime 2 on GCN so I was burnt out of FPS gameplay and still haven't found time to go back. - Super Mario Galaxy - (A+) Suprises me constantly with its creativity, quality and fun factor. Have rented the following , with 1-week rental review & opinion: - Excite Truck (A!) I must buy this soon, I loved it. Will buy soon. - NiGHTS Journey of Dreams (B+) - despite everybody blowing out of proportion its minor faults, this game is a NiGHTS into Dreams fan's dream come true. I nearly gasped a few times. But then again, I love the original so much and seeing it with such improved visuals was awesome to me. Will buy soon. - Tony Hawk downhill whatever -- the one where you tilt to steer -- the boys liked this more than the newer Tony Hawk which is more of the same. I liked it too, for a rental. B or C. Won't buy. - Sonic Secret Rings - I liked the motif but found it difficult to control. Need more time with it. I'd rate it a B or C. Will buy eventually, used and cheap. - Mario Party (8?) -- not my thing, and the kids only liked it for a short while too. Will not buy. birdie3
Did have Off road extreme, but it was soooooo bad I e-bayed it the day after it arrived, honestly the worst game I have ever played, and yes I have got ET for the 2600 I agree. We got this game for my son for Xmas and he played it once, said "it's too hard" and hasn't touched it since. We were actually thinking of emailing the developer and telling them that we thought that this game is very disappointing. It really is virtually unplayable. The controls are almost non-responding in some places and extremely frustrating. The game looks good graphically speaking but the controls are the absolute worst I have ever seen. Here is our list after Christmas: Raving Rabbids II Mario Galaxy Wii Play Wii Sports Counter Force Offroad Extreme - Special Edition Boogie
RickHarrisMaine
Looks like I have the sparsest of Wii collections here! I have Wii Sports Wii Play Super Mario Galaxy And so far, they're all great! The next game will be either Sonic and the Secret Rings, or Excitetruck. I need to download Super Mario World on the VC at some point as well. This is the best gaming experience since the Colecovision

Lauren Tyler
No Virtual Console games yet, but my mother says she'll help me get some, and I know she'd love to play the original Legend of Zelda game on there. Now if they'd just put Castlevania 2 on there, she'd be in heaven. As for Wii games: Wii Sports Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess Trauma Center: Second Opinion Excite Truck Metal Gear Anthology Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles Trauma Center: Second Opinion
Room 34
I've had the Wii since March, and have only accumulated 9 games for it so far (not counting VC). Honestly, I'm pretty disappointed with the selection of games that have come out. There are some really great games but most of them have not been enough to grab my interest. I've bought a bunch more DS games than Wii games this year. Here's the Wii collection: Wii Sports Wii Play Super Paper Mario Mario Party 8 Super Mario Galaxy Wario Ware: Smooth Moves Rayman Raving Rabbids Sonic and the Secret Rings Metroid Prime 3: Corruption I have a slew of VC games too. Without going down and firing up the Wii, these are the ones I can recall off the top of my head... NES: Super Mario Bros. Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels Super Mario Bros. 3 TMNT Castlevania Donkey Kong SNES: Super Mario World Castlevania IV Super Metroid Donkey Kong Country Genesis: Sonic the Hedgehog TurboGrafx 16: Battle Lode Runner N64: Super Mario 64 Mario Kart 64 The VC has actually gotten quite a lot of play in my household, mainly because my son likes to play SMB3, SMW, and DKC with me. But I've logged a few hours on Super Metroid too. (Actually, I've played Super Metroid a lot more than I've played MP3 Corruption!) Oh, one more thing: I WOULD have Twilight Princess, but my mother-in-law got me the GameCube version as a birthday present! I debated putting the Wii version on my Amazon wish list, but in the end I went with the 'Cube version because I had no idea when I'd ever be able to get my hands on a Wii. Little did I realize I'd actually get one just FOUR DAYS LATER!!! It's fine though. I've been playing Twilight Princess on the GameCube a lot lately. It works out well, because I have the 'Cube upstairs, but the Wii is in the living room, right next to my 2-year-old daughter's bedroom, so I can't play the Wii when she's asleep. RickHarrisMaine
Just picked up: Rayman: Raving Rabbids for the kids today. I was torn between that, Sonic and the Secret Rings, and Blazing Angels. All around the same price.
n8littlefield
Just added: Metal Slug Anthology - Very nice package even with no Classic Controller support. For $20 it's a bargain given all the content included. Dewy's Adventure - A bit on the sicky sweet side but gameplay is great - alot like Korinipia with more depth and powerups. The cutscenes have the same beautiful artstyle as those in Elebits. Also grabbed this one at $19.99. Zack & Wiki - Just played for a minute or so but I'm really excited - love the artstyle and given graphic adventures were my favorite genre "back in the day" I can't wait to play more. Retail is down to $29.99 so grab it now. Endless Ocean - Wow. Just wow. If you are looking for something relaxing and different at a great price pick this up. You can lose hours just swimming with the various creatures. Again, $29.99 for this one. Carnival Games - Much better than I expected. A great party game as the games are immediately familiar to just about everyone and the Wii controls are quite well done. I paid full retail for this one - $39.99 - but it suits my tastes much more than the other minigame compilations (never liked Wario Ware or Mario Party that much and already own Rabbids 1). Happy Birthday to me indeed!
RickHarrisMaine
Just Added: Link's Crossbow Training with Wii Zapper Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess Trauma Center: Second Opinion (I'm a dangerously incompetent surgeon so far.
