  1. Thankfully it's not supposed to make sense. It's just supposed to be a day in the life of a squirrel who gets wasted one night and just wants to go home and get some rest, but ends up getting pulled into other peoples problems.
  2. The back of the box says two modes: Wireless DS Single-Card Download Play Wireless DS Multi-Card Play So apparently you can do both. It also has a "Send Demo" feature in one of the menus to send a demo of the game to a friend apparently. Which is pretty cool actually. It's called "Send Meteos Demo!"
  3. You also need a controller. Seriously though, yeah. I couldn't stand the GBA parts of the game. The graphics for the GBA portions, even shown on screen looked really crappy in comparison to all the cool effects that were happening outside on the TV screen.
  4. If you have a Kmart and your Kmart has it, it'll be half price this weekend.
  5. Will they ever crack into the 1.51 firmware, or is it a lost cause?
  6. A lot of DS games have neat interactive menus. Metroid Prime Hunters has the neat honeycomb lighting up effect. Mario 64 has a watery ripple. The little details make all the difference.
  7. I can't wait to try it out. I HAVE to beat the boss in MP1 first though.
  8. I just found out Zoo keeper is going to $10 sale this weekend at Kmart if they have it. (I assume it's $10. A 50% sale again Sat and Sun) Funny thing is I bought it at $20. No big deal. I can easily get it adjusted. Even better really. I'll put that extra $10 towards Kirby or something. As for the PSP. I only have two worthy games so far. Lumines and Ridge Racer. The other two games I have are not worth the money I paid. Ape Escape and Mercury. If I had known, I'd have waited. I'm really waiting for Namco Museum and some of the other goodies this holiday, but sadly most of the really good stuff is coming DS this fall. So DS has taken the throne again in my book. We'll see after Christmas.
  9. An RSS feed is too much? Ha! I don't think so.
  10. Metroid Prime 2 will NEVER go "Platinum". It may become Players Choice, but it won't ever go Platinum. Edit: Frugal Gamer needs an RSS feed to be useful. Get into the 21st century!
  11. I want it. But am hoping to find it for $30 or less. I don't think DS games should be more than $30 and PSP games shouldn't be more than $40. But it looks so cool and fun. I can't wait to try it.
  12. I got my Cube shortly after release when I got a paycheck big enough. Well worth it. Got my Xbox for Christmas a year after it was released. I think it was cheaper then. Still, I didn't buy it. It was a present. I got it sadly for Halo. But still play it for Serious Sam. Waited years to get my PS2.. Two.. Only for Katamari Damacy, else I still wouldn't have one. No need. Jak as fun, but not as seller for me. Katamari was. And if there were no KD on PS2, I wouldn't even consider the PS2. DS on launch day for Mario 64 DS and the prospect of all the upcoming games this year. Got surprised by Meteos and Zoo Keeper. PSP the day after for Lumines. Then for Ridge Racer. It simply depends on if the game I want is desirable enough to spend the current price for the console.
  13. Anyone know if its level selection is based exactly on a certain version of the game, or has some differences? I'd love to know if it's the superior Arcade/PSX selection or the inferior NES selection. BTW, I have it and can't tell.
  14. The Xbox version has a few things over the 64 version. Kick ass beautiful graphics and some of the impossible stuff from the original is a bit easier so as not to turn you off. Also, some stuff was actually removed (As you can tell when you play the Xbox while following a 64 FAQ.) The point you are at right now is close to War. War is where the game pretty much takes off. After that is Enter the Vortex and then Heist I believe. It's not too far from the end. BTW, War gets really good. It turns into a sort of FPS at that point. Very cool. The cutscene when you actually get into the War is VERY well done. BTW, I'm in War right now. So I'm close to The Matrix.. I mean Vortex. Edit: And I agree with you on the online part. Screw online. I'm a lone gamer. Give me a full single-player mode and I'm happy.
  15. Hell, even the single player mode kicked ass. I don't know what game you were playing, but it wasn't Four Swords.
  16. I know. Where do these deals pop up? On the main page? Because I could periodically check the site. But if they bury them, screw it. I'll wait for posts like these. I'm just glad I stumbled onto this thread when I did. Else I'd be waiting for a real price drop to buy it probably used. If Star Fox Armada shows up for $20 one day, let us know!
  17. It just arrived in the mail. I am confident it is not an error. The game has a sticker for $49.99, and the invoice says $19.99. Awesome! Now I just need to beat the final boss in the first game so I can start on this one. Awesome deal!
  18. Meteos does seem to have some Smash bros-esque hints. Especially in some of the interface. Like turning on special items and checking the vast list of things you have done or collected and times you won or lost and people you defeated etc. Pretty neat. I got it yesterday. Damn fun. It's different enough from Lumines to provide more variety but still similar enough I can enjoy both. I especially like the many worlds and different styles of blocks and music and stuff on each. Very cool. Many modes. I love it. The DS' Lumines.
  19. I just hope they don't "Fix" their mistake either by retroactively charging you the extra $30, or even cancelling the order. If they even THINK of charging me extra for a mistake they made...
  20. Nanostray comes out apparently this month too. That will be another must.
  21. METEOS AND ZOO KEEPER HAVE RENEWED MY LOVE OF MY DS!!! That is all.
  22. And don't be stupid like me and update the firmware to 1.51.
  23. Just an update. I finally got further in Vs. Com mode the other day and unlocked three new skins: Please Return my CD - The one I was stuck on with the hard to see black and white blocks. The piano level with the robotic head if you will. The Bird Singing in the Night - Very weird pink level with blue and yellow swiss cheese like blocks. Mekong - Seems to be based on Dragon Warrior, or Quest as they call it in Japan. It's all Japanese with the grass and water as the blocks. A castle on grass and a boat on water as the Special Blocks. And the character you play looks to be the Dragon Lord. Very cool skin I must say. The level after Mekong kicked my ass in like 5 seconds, so I'll be stuck here for a while.
  24. Depends on what I feel like playing. But honestly, Lumines still owns me. So I haven't touched my DS much lately. Maybe if I get Meteos, Polarium or Yoshi Topsy Turvy. But I just don't see anything really replacing Lumines until NEW SMB and Animal Crossing.
