A new Nomad? Why, this ain't April Fools Day! lol

Your comment gave me hope until I saw the words Retro-Bit :( Pass...Or use Extreme Caution!

^ Retro-Bit did just recently make a pretty flawless recreation of the classic Sega Genesis 6-button arcade pad (theirs is probably the best third party game pad controller the Genesis has ever gotten), so there's hope. =)

  2. That's great. I have bought several Super Games from Pixelboy over the years. But it will be nice (and convenient) to be able to play those Super Games (via ROM on SD card) on the Phoenix.
  3. Question regarding the Phoenix system: Will it run all of the Super Game ROM images from an SD card?
  4. Rey, That's really cool, thanks for the input. I'll probably buy one now.
  5. Let me know if this works. I'm considering the Atarimax SD Cartridge and would be thrilled if the Buck Rogers and Zaxxon Super Game ROMS are playable on an Adam.
  6. Yurkie said it well. I'll just add that I hope the unit doesn't have a strong chemical odor like the Retro-Bit Retro Duo has and that the controls (joystick & buttons) are durable. I remember back in the early '80's the joystick from my Coleco Pac Man tabletop unit started to malfunction after not too many months. Looking forward to seeing what develops with this product.
  7. Has anyone experienced Qbert Qubes freezing up, especially in Level 4? This must be the 3rd time that this happened and to both my carts too. Can this be a bug or just a coincidence(?). Thanks.
  8. Has anyone been able to get EA sports games like Madden '94, '95, and Bill Walsh '94 to play properly on the portable FC-16 Go system. They're the only SNES carts I have that won't play - the game boots up but the button and control configuration is totally messed up . I tried holding down the Select and Start buttons, as well as the other buttons when turning on the system but it hasn't helped. I love this portable system and would love to be able to play these games on it. Any suggestions? Thanks.
  9. Welcome to the first day of the rest of your life

What's the going rate for an "in the wild" SGM these days?

I've seen them sell on ebay from $150 to $350. I'd probably pay $200 tops for a CIB module.

  12. If anyone has a Colecovision Super Game Module for sale please let me know.

One just sold on ebay for around 350 . It is an R-9 so it is really rare !

  13. If anyone has a ColecoVision Super Game Module to sell, please let me know.

  14. I'd like to order one when available. Thanks.
  15. Close to perfect (basically no complaints, no bugs): Sega Genesis: NHL '94, Sonic 2 Atari 5200: Star Raiders Atari 7800: Joust Colecovision: Super DK Jr, H.E.R.O., Galaxian Atari computers: River Raid, Frogger 2 Commodore 64: Raid Over Moscow, Maniac Mansion
  16. The 7800 version is just perfect: the graphics, sound, control, difficulty ramp-up, and it's dirt cheap and abundant. Not to say that playing other versions of Joust isn't a bad idea because I still play the 2600 version at times.
  17. Nice to see someone else likes Looping. Bombed in the arcade but nice to play at home.
  18. Looping (i've been practicing) Galaxian is good Cosmic Avenger
  19. Time Pilot and Choplifter need major overhauls. They could be the best ports on the CV.
  20. I'm looking for a reliable C64 power brick (more reliable than the stock C64 power brick) that runs cooler. A couple of guys on ebay sell custom C64 power adapters with a limited warranty (hopefully without blowing out the system) and there are some third-party brands from the 1980's. What would you C64 hobbyists recommend? Thanks.
  21. Atari computer by far. The 2600 version is tops for memories but the 8-bit blows all other ports away.
  22. I'm in for all three, boxes and manuals would be a plus but it's the games i'd love to have. Hope it becomes a reality.
