Always been more of a Hammer Dracula than a Universal Dracula guy but nonetheless looking forward to watching my new Universal Dracula collection

Fortnite on the Switch!

This second battery of chemo is certainly making me a lot more tired than the first

Every time I see someone with an Apple Watch and Apple Airpods, I'm tempted to ask them if they came with a little golden statue of Steve Jobs too

Karate Kid Marathon. First one has its charm. Second one is corny but has its entertainment moments. Third one is - wow - awful

The third one has the potential for kitzchy charm on paper. Kreese gets revenge on Daniel and Myagi. The actual film is embarrassing though. It's like Daniel has learned nothing from the first two movies and gets repeatedly beaten up by the "bad boy of Karate" and there isn't a thing he can do about it

One thing I have not got used to as this Lymphoma fight has gone on is the burning sensation of chemo behind my eyeballs. Ugh

Schlocky as they may be, I love old Drive-In B movies!

I've actually bought a few of those Drive in Collections - one with 200 films and another with 100 films. Some overlap but the price was good for both and enough differing content made them worthwhile.
We used to have a channel called "Drive In Classics" in Canada, but it was replaced by something else.

I'd really love a good Zelda style game on the Atari 7800 finally
-
Reading youtube comments, there are still people who are convinced the 2600 and 7800 were incapable of scrolling and that the 7800 couldn't have games larger than 128K
-
Playing 2600 California Games. As a kid, I picked this up on a trip to Florida and I remembered being impressed they could pull that off on the 2600 as well as they did
-
Reading the old Atarian Magazine review of Touchdown Football (7800). You know they were reaching for positives when they described the "spectacular title screen" as one of the pluses
-
Continuing my delve into late series 7800 games. Amazing that Atari Corp tried to link Alien Brigade and Planet Smashers together. The difference in quality between the two is pretty astonishing
-
Nice to see Bon Jovi make peace for the Hall of Fame. After seeing the guys from Blondie and Chicago act like dinks, my faith is restored

Danny Seraphine, Chicago's original drummer, was the exception as he was thrilled as a kid in a candy store to be reunited with his former bandmates and let that enthusiasm show throughout his speech. He also made sure to mention & thank every other band member that had been canned over the years. A class act, even if his speech was a bit awkard at times and profanity-laden. :-P
-
Had a round of Midnight Mutants for the first time in a long time. Always enjoyed this game. Wish Radioactive Software made a sequel for the 7800 but alas
-
Continuing my sprit of 7800 play by trying out some old, incomplete demos made by various homebrewers. Some cool concepts that I hope get made into games.
-
Jinks takes a lot of shit from 7800 fans, but I'd still take it any day over Fight Night or Karateka or Touchdown Football etc
-
Dug out Atari XE Karateka and played a few rounds. They really should have given the 7800 license to a better dev shop. Needlessly terrible
-
Enjoying rewatching the original Star Trek but I wish they'd left the CGI out of it. Looks too jarring. Give me the original fx, however primitive.

Speaking of FX, A while back my friend and I were watching Battlestar Galactica which he got on BluRay. (I have it on DVD in the cool Cylon head). Anyway, We watched the episode where they fight the fire in space and when they're out in space, you can totally see the wires holding them "weightless". I began to die laughing and said was it always like this? He said, Yeah our TVs, especially being picked up on antennas, weren't high enough picture quality for us to notice.
-
I really like KevMos3's artwork for Atari 7800 Rampage. Away with the muppet babies and detail on the building artwork! Spectral Dimension's art was needlessly poor in the original
-
Retrying Atari XE Thunderfox in emulation. Game is as damn hard as I remember ...
-
I'm looking forward to being done chemotherapy. All of these various medications are making me so damn edgy. Ugh
-
I'd really like to get another Co Co 3, but the amount of space it takes up is too much for my finite room
-
How many Atari XE Game Systems did Atari actually sell?
- Show previous comments 1 more
-
Yeah it's a cool system. I like it's pastel 1980's design. Someone gave me a complete XEGS when I first started getting into the vintage gaming hobby in 2001 on Freecycle. Heck it was only 14 years old then. I love it. I wish I had kept all my original systems -- Mattel Aquarius, ColecoVision, NES, Genesis, SNES.

RetroPie is nice on the surface, but has some really annoying problems.
