  1. All non-homebrew Vectrex games are in the public domain.
  2. Until a clone can achieve 100% compatibility, they're all crap. Nothing beats the real thing.
  3. One solution to that would be to dremel a slot in the bit, and use a flathead screwdriver.
  4. Sounds like it's probably a Torx or Security Torx (just like a Torx screw except there's a pin in the middle of the star) screw in there.

  6. As long as you avoid touching the battery itself with the soldering iron you'll be fine. If you're still worried about overheating the battery you could always use a heatsink while you're soldering.
  7. I think the best way to determine that is to open up the power supply and see what exactly it is that's rattling around. Odds are it's probably harmless, if your NES is still being powered by it.
  8. ^Nevermind....just did the research. I retract my previous post.
  9. Not sure if this counts or not, but engraved on the N64's CPU are the names of the team who helped develop it.
  10. I distinctly remember one of the Pole Position games had a Dig Dug billboard.
  11. While it's true the Gamecube didn't sell anywhere near as successfully as the PS2 or Xbox, Nintendo was able to do something Microsoft or Sega couldn't: make a profit from their hardware sales. THAT'S the reason they're still around.
  12. Correct, but that's for the OEM adapter. 3rd party adapters are DC, and the NES runs just fine with them.
  13. Before ANYTHING, try fiddling with the brightness knob on the back...sometimes it really is as simple as that.
  14. Not quite. The cans have a coating on the inside that prevents corrosion and prevents the soda from taking on a metallic taste.
  15. IIRC, up until the introduction of the Wavebird, pretty much all wireless controllers were IR.
  16. Oh....so we can criticize, piss and moan to infinity and beyond, but god forbid an actor dares to say something negative about a past job they maybe regretted? Hypocritical much?
  17. You definitely won't be able to use a Genesis pad in a TI-99/4A without some kind of adapter.
  18. Seconded on the website. Also, try renting a few tables at your local flea market. That should give you an idea of what you're in for in a B&M store.
  19. IMHO, $5000 is an absolute bare-bones minimum. You'll be spending that much alone buying stock. Are you going to be retro only, or are you going to include current systems also? If retro, I'd recommend $10-15K. If new, (and this is a ballpark figure) $25-30K for startup. Also, you'll need proof of insurance to whoever you'll be renting from, on top of payroll costs. Hope this helps.
  20. The Saturn version is definitely superior music wise...as far as gameplay I've only played the Saturn version so I can't say for sure.
