    RSOD?

Sorry to bump an old thread, but this works great! Thanks Gorf! I just received a lot of 5 games and Bubsy had the RSOD. You're a life saver! The only things I might add is to watch for cotton fibers from the Q-tip sticking to the cart edges. To remove them I just ran the T-shirt with the credit card across the board. Also, wait for the carts to dry before trying them. I cleaned 2 separate carts and tried them immediately and my Jag didn't boot up. It was only after drying did they work. Maybe I'm a dumbass. I guess that should of been common sense, no?
  2. I've been lurking in this thread since it started. This is too kick ass! You're on fire man! Keep it up!
  3. Do you think it's a scam? I put a waterbed on Craigslist in Cleveland and got the same response from someone... Here's part of it: Hi I am looking for a waterbed for health reasons. Being on social security I could only afford $100.00.
  4. This one works great for me: http://www.bannister.org/software/jum52.htm This Bannister guy really seems to know his stuff.. p.s. Make sure to download emulator enhancer also for full joystick compatibility...
  5. Nick just got at me. I ordered 2 Doom overlays, so they are indeed open..
  6. Is 16/32 Systems closed? I emailed them regarding Doom overlays and haven't heard anything in about a week. Does anyone have recent experience with them? Maybe a better ? is does anyone have Doom overlays for sale? Love my new Jag btw!!
  7. Looks good.. VGC gives it a B+! That's almost unheard of with that guy! He trashes Kasumi Ninja, but other sites say good things. I love fighting games. Is Ultra Vortek the king of Jag fighters?
  8. Good to be here. Great score on "Brain Games" btw!
  9. Gotcha. Just wondered for completion's sake... Sure! Print one out if you want. Nick Harlow http://www.1632-sales.zenwebhosting.com/ac...e_Overlays.html sells some overlays that are made by some guy. If you're in the U.S., though, just bear in mind that 16/32 is in Europe, so you'll have to be sure it's worth it to ship from over there with the exchange rate. Thanks man! Just what I was looking for... I'll have to see if it's worth shipping to Cleveland.
  10. Gotcha. Just wondered for completion's sake...
  11. Hey everyone, finally getting a Jag for $50 after the 7800 being my only system! My girlfriend is younger than me, so for some reason she can't figure out Dig Dug, but can solve all the Zelda games (go figure!). Maybe she won't think I'm such a dork with more complicated games around the house! Here's what the seller sent me: Its exactly the same as the other one i sold. Comes in box along with Doom in box, all hook ups. only thing missing is the Doom controller overlay. You should know what that is. otherwise in excellent condition. Hardly played because i had 2. I got this one from my uncles house. It was in the attic in a plastic bag. Does this seem like a good deal for $50? Can I print the overlay scans from ATARIAGE, or does someone sell replacements? It would be a shame to buy a whole new Doom cart just for the overlay. Thanks! p.s. Really looking forward to taking part in some of heated Jag discussion in this forum! Paul
  12. How about a 2 player split screen Pole Position II? A hack of MotorPschyo into Road Rash would be great too. Also, I second Crazy Climber... One of my favorites! All in all, I would love to see someone fix M.I.A. and release it on cart, Pit Fighter also.......
  13. Is there a way to print new cart labels? I just picked up a used Mario Bros. 7800 cart from Big Fun in Cleveland (btw, lots of vintage games and systems for sale there!). The label is pretty beat. I've seen the 2600 label maker program, but is there a way to download a scan of the cartridge label and print it? If anyone has any experience with this, what type of paper is best? Thanks...
  14. Wondering if any more work has been completed. This looks promising so I'll give it a bump.
  15. Do you guys think anyone at Blizzard has looked at this thread?
  16. So for the record, there's no way of telling which carts have sounds and which do not? I have the version with no sound. I fired up mess and sure enough, there IS sound. That sucks. Unfortunately I don't think you can tell from the label. However... I think carts built with the reworked C100339 PCB are more likely to be the early, bad version. They probably only used this PCB until the C300565 became available. The older PCB isn't the *cause* of the problem, but it just indicates that it's an early cart so it's more likely to also have an early ROM on it. You can distinguish cartridge PCB's if you look close at the edge connector. They all have some solder pads that are visible from the end, and they're arranged differently on different carts. http://www.atarihq.com/danb/7800cart/a7800cart.shtml There's lots of sealed, new 7800 carts floating around out there. I would imagine they're all newer versions - the old ones wouldn't have ended up as overstock. For whatever it's worth, I bought one of the sealed Winter Games carts a while back and it was the good version. Thanks gdement! I'll be on the lookout. Have been recently been playing the 7800 alot.... It's my only console.

  18. Hey everyone, I got my best electronics light gun shipped from Cali to Cleveland in less than 2 days after I ordered it! Those guys are on the ball, I wish them continued success. Playing Alien Brigade is so much more fun now! Highly Recommended!!!!
  19. I would be more inclined to play with the alcohol theme....

    Curt Vendel

Public forum... one statement that was a statement on vaporware to you and all developers. (I said the compact flash is vaporware until it happens too.) That really is the only statement I've made negatively concerning you to be honest. I think it was developers a few years back... talented people, but they made statements of games they were working on, which is nice to see and encouraging at first, but really disappointing when it drags on. Some developers have chosen the "there will be no wine until it's time" philosophy. They program, they share with trusted friends (as you have done on Jaguar Sector 2), they get it properly tested, and when it's ready, THEN they make an announcement. That is my encouragement for you as well. And for all your nah-sayers who say you are only talking vaporware... if you don't talk about something till it is like 99.8% complete and a week away from release, there will be no vaporware, period. Will nix that right in the bud. Now this thread, seeing your admiration for Curt, is a nice sentiment, and I honestly believe you will do your best to make this a reality above all. And that is cool. Curt has done a lot for us. Granted this question could have been PM'd to him, and again the project done in secret. Then on revealing day say "Because Curt is a cool guy, here is this new game" It's all timing & presentation. In regards to Star Castle, see above. Cool to hear about, but again keep in mind, "There will be no wine..." That wasn't the tangent I was talking about. I've said some negative things in PM to you, but none of that unabridged honesty from me needs airtime here. I would encourage you to edit a lot of that from your prior messages... I was not out to PUBLICLY bash you. Edit that, and I'll edit this reference in this message and previous messages that you see in blue (as well as related quotes in my messages from you) and I'll forgive all this like it never happened. Deal? The 7800 could use a decent Zaxxon. 2600 Zaxxon is kinda lacking. You guys are gay....
