My guess is that if you put that on ebay it would go for about $2,000. Though I could be totally wrong.
$2,000 for a poster?, you have to be kidding. I say $150 topps.
Just for some background here guys and girls,
I have no idea what will happen with the small poster but from selling past small
posters I'd bet a final price in the $50--$75 range is easily possible. Now the larger
poster. I sold a straight up TCM poster a couple of years ago that best recollection
went for over $200. This one with both TCM and Halloween should bring at least the
same area in price. Third and last the box. In the first thread I started about this
sku_u stated he buy the box for $30 to $40 dollars if it did not vary much from the
original. This is obviously quite different even including an earlier copyright date. SO
who knows. I think I'll put up the small poster today and see what the interest is.

Hey
Here it is the first viewing of a tentative game scream of Starpath's SWEAT
The Decathalon Game. Hope everyone appreciates it.

was it a local show or major show if it was aired on a major network what show was it. i also would like to see a picture of this cart.
At first I was on a local cable access show, don't laugh too hard, on one show I had
a giveaway of a couple of games and we had people calling in. It was a Friday night
and we broadcast out of the City Hall in Clifton NJ. The city had 80,000 people but
the cable network covered 8 cities with over a quarter of a million people. Our phone
numbers were through the City Hall phone system which we had access to during the
show. There were 25 lines coming in and calls would just go to another number down
the line. Every line was lit during the entire show. We actually had a couple hundred
different entries, but certainly missed many more. We had good newspaper coverage
and I actually built up a huge following. The show I just mentioned was a Christmas special that I actually did live for 2 hours. We had game screens on screen, it was really quite technical for an access show. Probably because the director actually worked at Channel 7, an ABC affilliate, in New York City. After that show, ABC even did a short piece on a nightly newscast about my show.
From there I landed a show on a cable station that was called CTN, Cable Television Network of New Jersey. This was a Network setup that was carried on every cable system in the state of NJ. I did 13 weeks but instead of just videogames actually turned it into a computer show. It was called the Home Computer Show. That took a lot of thought to come up with. On that show I covered the Atari, Commodore 64, Apple and all the other smaller computers of the day. It just so happened to coincide with the great videogame/computer crash of the era. But it was fun. One of my "top" moments was 3 hours spent with one of the Kitchen brothers talking about "SPACE SHUTTLE" and all the other stuff that was going on at Activision. He came to the studio and we were going to tape a 10-15 minute interview and as I said it landed up being a 3 hour session. I had met him before in Las Vegas at the Consumer Electronics Show and being a New Jersey guy as I was we had a lot to talk about.
Oh to be back there again. But these are just good memories now. Just 2 weeks shy of
my 60th birthday it's great to reminsce about such a great time. Those of you too young
to have been there cannot imagine what a "HUGE" time it was. We had wild dreams of
what the "home computer" would do for us in the future, but never envisioned TODAY.
Well I know I've bored a lot of people with my reminiscing of old times here so I'll say
I'm sorry. For those of you really in love with that time I'm sure you're smiling.

Sorry to report the cartridge has been sold privately to someone who wants to remain
anonymous and per his request he doesn't want anything shown. I did not intend for
this to end this way. But at the price he offered I doubt there would be too many members here who would not have sold it under the buyer's terms. Hey this landed up
being a nice vacation for my wife and I. What's even stranger about the whole thing
was that he contacted me through eBay.

Here's a scan of the small poster. It is 8.5" X 11". Sorry I added the 2 sample lines in there, but I'm just trying to protect my price when I sell it on eBay. I may send a scan to AA without them after I've sold the poster. Hope you guys understand. Business is Business, First things First.

Hi All,
Thought it would be easier to start a new topic so everybody would know the pictures
were posted.
I also found last night an 8.5" x 11" poster with the "promo" box.
I checked out the large poster as well. It has pictures of both the Texas Chainsaw
Massacre box and the Halloween box. It's 18" x 24" and I will try to scan it in pieces
today and put it together. It's in MINT condition still folded up as it was when I got it
way back in 82/83. I also have instructions that are pre production copies of what they
planned on printing up. Yes it has slightly rusty staples in them.
I'll try to post both later today.

Another question guys.
Has anyone seen a 1982 version of "The Texas Chainsaw Masscre" box.
I have one that is definitely different than the one listed in the Rarity Guide.
Its pretty much the same except all the printing and the graphic are on a very
glossy black background. It has a 1982 copyright on it as well. I sold the cartridge
a couple of years ago and found this today. Any remarks will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks again,
Tony
Hey, I have the box....I believe that is the prototype box for the game (based on what the seller told me). I believe the seller because he is VERY reputable in the atari world.
That makes a lot of sense since I got it mine as a reviewer from Wizard. I've also got
a great poster for the game that's about 2' x 3' that will be sold off soon too.

I think I'm going back up in the attic in the morning
.

Hi,
Been quite a while since I've landed my space vehicle on this site. Has anyone
seen an Out Of Control cartridge sold lately, or ever for that matter. Reason I'm
asking is because I think I have one that is almost in brand new condition. I'm
not sure I have the box though. I think I received it without the box in a small
plain box.
For those of you who don't know me or have forgotten. I used to review 2600
games for a newsletter I had and a TV show that I used to appear on. I was
looking through some things earlier and I'm pretty sure I saw one. I'm not going
back up in the attic right now and dig through all the boxes I looked through to see
if it was, but if it's worth it I might go back up to find it and
sell it!
Thanks for any answers you guys will leave.

Hi to all those who remember me. I've not been on for quite a while. Have a
bad problem with my heart. Had to retire early due to medical reasons. Most
of you who remember me know that I've sold some "great stuff" in the past.
I used to write a newsletter as well as have a TV show that concentrated on
Video Games. Well I've got some more early paper work to sell for right now.
I've just put up 4 mini posters sent to me by Tigervision in the early 80's. Thanks for your time.

Mr Retro Gamer,
Surely you must remember me as long a member as you
are. I've been up and down on here for I guess a couple of
years. I've sold some things that a few of the regulars have
bought as well. I've sold some real goodies in the past, such
as a complete boxed Malagai and Out of Control. Plenty of
prototypes as well. I'll tell you for sure Alex, Albert, CPUWIZ,
Tempest, Marco and Curt Vendel will all tell you I'm the "REAL
Deal".
I'll give you a little background. In the very early eighties
I got very pissed when buying my son a game for the Atari 2600.
It was an outright rip off. Can't remember which game it was but,
It may have been Pac Man, but I seem to think it was earlier. I
was furious because there was absolutely nowhere anyone could
get info on a game until it was out about 3 months and by then if
you or one of your friends hadn't already bought it you knew
nothing about it other than its name. I decided that I was going to
do something. I began a newsletter called the JOYSTICK JOLTER,
got a lot of laughs out of the name too. Done purposely for name
recognition. I started concentrating on videgame stores or places
that sold games. Using a few mailing lists I soon was over a couple
of thousand customers. By then I had contact with all the major
companies getting eprom, prototypes, press releases, etc. A couple
of my reviews were quoted by the likes of Atari, Activision, CBS,
Xonox and a couple others. As we approached 1984 the roof started
to fall in on the game industry and the home computer industry
began to make strides into the homes of regular people. Not only
"NERDS" . I switched the name of the newsletter to the Home Computer
and videogame newsletter. Continued that a while and I had been
doing some local access net television in Passaic,Bergen counties in
New Jersey. Got a lot of publicity out of that and got a chance to do a
weekly 30 minute show on a network called CTN(Cable Network of
New Jersey). That was on every cable network in the state. It was
late 1984 I guess. I even had Activision's Steve Kitchen on and did
a 30 minute interview. Wish I had the tape of that because it was a
"Super" show. Well when the Home Computer crash joined the Video
Game crash. I crashed with them. Lost quite a bit of money on a
couple of unnamed ventures and vowed to never go back to any of
that.
So here I am today with quite a bit of paper work from the major
and minor manufacturers of the day left. Why not allow the gamers of
today that have kept what was a dream for me back then alive. I've
sold off a lot but still have quite a bit left. Unfortunately I threw out all
my old computer stuff, but saved most of the videogame junk ;^) .
I lost some to a blown water heater some years ago, but everything I
have is in "Like New" condition. I'm sure some of those who have been
customers of mine in the past will vouch for that. Hope I didn't bore
you!

Hi all,
For those that remember me, and certainly all the "Big" names
who have been around awhile do, I'm back. I'm unloading some of
my one of a kind paperwork on eBay. Today is just a drop in the
bucket. I'll probably be putting stuff up every few days for a while.
I think I might even have a prototype or two left in my bag of tricks.
Check for seller: postcardmary (my wife's account)

Help - Unknown Apollo Games
in Atari 2600
Posted
Just since this appears interesting to the largest portion of AA visitors
I assume you all consider it important. Although I lost a large amount
of my paperwork and other things, like protos, press kits, copies of my
newsletter and more to a small flood in my basement some yerars ago
I'll try to see if I can find anything on or from anything by Apollo.
Anthony
PS: I used to have a large list of pre release games list every month.
Who knows what I may unearth. I maybe shouldn't promise anything
but I'm even a bit excited that I could find something you guys would
consider a "great find".
