Q: Anyone have the dimensions for a 1200XL mainboard?
jacobus replied to HiroProX's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
1200XL Mainboard: Width 14" Depth 9" - 9 1/8" Height 2 1/4" (measuring highest component - heat spreader) Please note that these are just the board measurements. Add 5/8" for the power switch, 3/8" for the TV switch, SIO port and heat spreader. -

Very nice, thank you! A couple of thoughts... 1) That image is creepy. Really creepy! 2) Where did you find it? The format is obviously for the older non-boxed versions of Synapse games (plus the date on the picture says 1982) - which suggests that it was an early title. I'd always assumed that Reptilian was announced just before Synapse started to go south got lost in the shuffle. There should have been plenty of time to finish the game between 1982 and 1984! Does anyone know any more details? 3) I want to include it in my poster, but it throws the spacing right off! Crap!

I think (and my memory is pretty hazy) that Spy Hunter used the button on the second joystick for an alternate weapon... Yup, that's true. You could get a special joystick holder that held the 2 joysticks together so it wouldn't be as awkward. I wired an old doorbell button to the joystick and ran an extra cable to port 2

Outstanding work mate ! Thanks a bunch and please keep them coming. BTW, I've got the scan of unpublished Synapse game - Reptilian. If anybody is interested, let me know and I'll post it. Your most welcome! ... Please go ahead and post Reptilian - I have the thumbnail, but a larger pic would be great!

enjoy I will be re-scanning the remainder of my Synapse titles in the next few days (new scanner is much better) and updating my Synapse Poster - I'll upload more at that point.

Thank you very much! (don't worry about the manual, I have one). Back "in the day" I purchased a copy of this in the silver and black box. Sadly I must have thrown it out at some point since. (and I think I bought it from the bargain bin for $3 or $4) Synapse released quite a few early titles in the "baggie" format. I have Protector (never released as a box actually), Shamus, Picnic Paranoia, Nautilus and Slime - if you look carefully you'll notice that the box format removes about 1/2 an inch from one side of the picture. jim

Qhile I do own Quasimodo, it sadly is the German release by Ariolasoft, featuring a quite ugly yellow border around the original cover picture. (and of course all the other sides are yellow, too). Thorsten I have New York City in the same format - the box is ugly, but fortunately the picture is untouched. Could you send me a scan of the box front anyway? ... My copy of Alley Cat is on a cassette, and the image is much poorer. thanks!

Here ya go! By the way, could you (or anyone else) provide me with high resolution scans of Dodge Racer, Alley Cat and Quasimoto? Thanks!

I'm making a display case of Intel CPUs for a local museum and I need a few of the more recent CPUs to complete the collection. Pentium D Core 2 Duo Core 2 Quad Core i5 Core i7 Since these are newer chips, I really don't want to pay for working ones - if anyone has some dead ones they like to sell me, I'd be willing to offer an nominal sum (and shipping) thanks! jim Work in Progress: P.S. I have an Intel 8086 as well as Core Solo and Core Duo and Pentium M chips on the way P.P.S. Please note the 6502 (pulled from an Atari 800) in the bottom right corner!

UnixCoffee and I were tossing around an idea to embed a checksum for each .ATR - thereby producing a unique identifier that could be keyed to a global database (this was in the context of upgrades to my front end for Atari800Win - all emulator settings could be stored in a database and the user would never have to fiddle with the different compatibility settings)

What Atari games would you like to see on the wii?
jacobus replied to kheller2's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
I've gotta set this up. Does it run at full speed with good sound? I want it mainly for K-razy Shootout, Donkey Kong and Jumpman/JM jr No speed issues, sound is good. You can either use the "+" button on the Wii-mote or plug in a N64 controller. Send me a PM if you need help! -
Just purchased a Trak drive from him - shipped very quickly, well packaged. Highly recommended!

5928% Core2Quad 2.83ghz Windows 7 64bit The emulator is running in XP emulation mode - I'll try it in pure XP.

I was able to pick it up today! The system works perfectly and is in amazing shape. It appears to have been upgraded with 14mb and a 524mb hard drive (stock 4/80). I need to get a VGA adapter (can anyone recommend a source?) to check it our more thoroughly, but I do know that it has Calumus loaded. I've attached a couple of pictures of the inside - Does the memory expansion on the left also include a FPU? As well he had a working SLM 804 Laser printer along with the adapter box - does anyone know the value of these? Thanks again to everyone for their help!

Thanks very much for the feedback! I will (more than likely) pick it up tomorrow. (and post pictures!)
