  1. I sold the EPROM years back, so no, I do not intend to release any ROM. The new owners seemed to have some sort of plan for it, but that was years ago. *shrug*
  2. Necro. Out of the blue someone hit me up about this proto I owned years back, so I figured I'd do a quick google and see if people were looking for it. Video taken many years back of the proto that I owned running on the NES (dumped and through a PowerPak). I can't seem to find the actual proto chip, might have sold it some years back, but the game is preserved and runs on unmodified NTSC hardware. This ROM is not readily available on the internet. Hadn't thought about this (or really any of my other protos) in quite some time, but figured people would want to know that there was an intended release and the game got far enough into development to run on NTSC hardware.
  3. Yikes! Gotta admit, the blog sort of catches me by surprise. Though some may be less excited about the release of the game than others, I'm truly surprised that anyone would genuinely question the credibility of those involved. Does anyone know where Carl lives? I would love to have him over, play the full game, and hear his honest opinion of it. This is a genuine offer. Carl: If you're anywhere near the Massachusetts area, I would love to play host and provide food, beer, and socks the cat. There are specifics about the project that I just flat out don't have answers to, and if asked any questions directly I can either answer transparently or respond with a genuine "I don't know". Super excited to see that the game is more than half funded from I truly hope this game gets to be enjoyed by the general public.
  4. Hey all, Haven't posted here in a while but still lurk almost daily. A couple of close personal friends of mine have been working hard to get the unreleased SNES game Socks the Cat Rocks the Hill released to the general public, and after several years of hard work, the kickstarter is live: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/481884736/socks-the-cat-the-video-game-based-on-the-clintons If you have any interest in the game, I feel as though the pricing is pretty fair. I'm not directly involved in the release, so I'm unsure of what questions I'll be able to answer, but feel free to ask anything here and I'll do my best!
  5. Hi all, I have recently reproduced a fantastic unreleased NES game and created a limited run for sale. The original sales post was on NintendoAge, and rather than keep multiple threads going, I figured I would link it here: http://www.nintendoage.com/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=6&threadid=147088 No need to sign up to NintendoAge or contact me over there to purchase a copy, feel free to post in this thread or shoot me a PM here. Thanks!
  6. Literally haven't sold these for years, Mods can certainly lock this one.
  7. List is up to date, all paid games shipped, invoices and transactions sent. 7 left, let's sell this out!
  8. Bump! All paid copies ship tomorrow, invoices coming for the rest of you all. Only 23 copies left, so get those orders in! IMPORTANT NOTE: As stated in the first post, these are BRAND NEW aftermarket Genny cart shells. They are thicker than your average cart and will fit VERY snug in your Genny. I personally tested every single cart in my Model 3 (snug fit) and model 2 (snugger fit). Just so that everyone knows ahead of time, the spacing is very tight. Also, even though there are holes for screws, the carts snap together (much like Famicom games). Rest assured that I didn't accidentally ship yours without screws Thanks for all the orders, you guys rock!
  9. Hi Folks! Here it is, the OFFICIAL Bill's Tomato Game sales thread! This game has changed hands a few times over the last few years and we are so very proud to be able to present you with this unreleased game! It cost just under $1,800 to get the game, but it was absolutely worth it! A few things you should know: - The game is made of COMPLETELY NEW PARTS! This is the first Genesis project Matt and I have done without the use of any donor materials. No carts were harmed in the making of this game: - The game uses BRAND NEW PCBs! The first and only game that has ever appeared on these boards is Bill's Tomato Game. - The game uses BRAND NEW CART SHELLS! This was NOT easy to source as there are very few places where you can get high quality Genesis shells - The game uses BRAND NEW UNIVERSAL GAME CASES! I would have loved to have sourced brand new Genesis style clamshells, but unfortunately it didn't happen. I refused to use any donor materials for this release, so UGC were the most viable solution. - The game uses professional printed and cut vinyl stickers. Very, very happy about the quality fo stickers for this release, they're absolutely fantastic in my opinion. - The game will cost $75 shipped in the US, $85 Shipped to Canada, and $90 Worldwide. Using all new parts was MUCH more expensive than using donors, so sorry about the cost. The international prices stink due to the higher cost of flat rate postage seen here : http://cr.colostate.edu/documents/ShapedRates.pdf I know it sucks, but it is what it is. In order to reserve a spot you must: Post in this thread Put the number you want in this thread Put your country it is shipping to in this thread If you don't follow these rules, I'll have to skip over your request - Once you have requested to reserve a number, I will PM you with a transaction with payment instructions. - Once a transaction request has been made, you will have 3 days to send payment over. Any longer than this, and I will leave appropriate feedback and your number goes back up for grabs. Sorry, but I've done 3 full reproduction runs in the past with far too many tire kickers. - There is no maximum number you can purchase, buy as many as you like. If you buy more than one, I will charge actual shipping. The package includes: 1, Bill's Tomato Game Universal Genesis/Mega Drive Style Cartridge 1, Bill's Tomato Game Universal Game Case with Artwork, hand numbered between 1 and 100 What you should know about this game: Bill's Tomato Game was named after and created by Bill Pullan. The game was successfully released on the Amiga and was to be ported to both the Sega Genesis and the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. The SNES version was scrapped very early in development, but the Genesis version was 100% finished and was ready for distribution. Unfortunately, Psygnosis was purchased by Sony right around this time and production on the game was halted. Highs: The game is absolutely fantastic. It is a full 90 levels long and offers some serious fun and challenges. The intro video is very nicely animated, the controls are tight and intuative, and the game plays as well as anything on the platform. If you are into Lemmings style puzzle games of the 8 and 16 bit generation, you'll love this one. Lows: As far as gameplay, there really aren't many to mention. There is a soft reset still in the code (pressing A, B, and C at the same time brings you back to the start menu), but that is the only "flaw" I can think of. As far as the tangible good, there are some downsides to using brand new materials. The Genesis/Mega Drive cases are just slightly thicker than a standard cart, so you'll get a bit of that Kung-fu grip effect when placing it in the system. Also, the area for the sticker to be placed is much larger than a typical Genny game. Since I wanted to keep the look as close to the original source material as possible, I elected to print the stickers the correct size and adhere them centered as best I could. From a foot away, they look like any other Genny game, and I'm very happy I stuck with the origial size. After a full sell out, Matt and I will be releasing the ORIGINAL UNALTERED ROM for FREE for everyone to download and enjoy! Shoutouts: Bill Pullan: THANK YOU FOR CREATING SUCH AN AMAZING GAME! It is protos exactly like this one that keep my brother and I digging for those hidden unreleased gems, and we are truly honored to get this one out to the masses. DjShok: Greg's art has made many releases possible, and this one is no exception. Thanks for all that you do for the community! Dra600n: Without Adam, we'd still be using donor PCBs. You're a fantastic member of the community, and an even better friend. Thanks! Piko: Thanks for sourcing the cart shells! No way could we have done this without you! Hybrid: Thanks for always being there to trouble shoot any game we come across and getting those Game Genie codes out to the masses. You rock! I think that's pretty much it. If you have any questions/comments/concerns, please let me know! FULL LIST OF AVAILABLE NUMBERS FOUND HERE!!!!! https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Ad0BeTHgaKe5rpVhh85kRJQWBKZOeSLPh_rx-67AdOk/edit?usp=sharing
  10. Last day bump! One lot still without the opening bid, all other lots still on the cheap. Just a reminder, these are almost all in player's condition and most have defects of some kind (rental stickers, torn labels, missing manuals, fading, amongst other things. Please keep that in mind if you bid!
  11. Hi guys, Trying to clear out my basement and it's time to thin the Genesis stock. I would have listed more but I ran out of boxes Lot 1 (11 Games): http://www.ebay.com/itm/141291852172?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1586.l2649 Lot 2 (11 Games): http://www.ebay.com/itm/141291858369?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1586.l2649 Lot 3 (11 Games): http://www.ebay.com/itm/141291864831?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1586.l2649 Lot 4 (11 Games): http://www.ebay.com/itm/141291870461?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1586.l2649 Lot 5 (60 Games): http://www.ebay.com/itm/141291925532?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1586.l2649 EDIT: NEW LOTS ADDED! Some manuals, some without, plenty with damage, all play just fine. Hopefully someone can win these cheap and I can have my basement back!
  12. Sorry guys if I didn't respond, but the inquiries were, well, not ones I could fulfill. Vectrexmad!: You asked about the condition of the Polar Rescue box. Well, as listed in the description, it doesn't have one. It's the cart, overlay, and manual. save2600: You inquired about the overlays. Well, they're in the "Sold" list, and have been there for a very, very long time. Wasn't trying to be rude, but I received a lot of interest and had to prioritize on requests that I could actually carry out. Sorry for the confusion.
  13. Hi all, My brother and I have accumulated way too many Vectrex doubles, so it's time to unload! https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Aof5kdjyHmF-dDZwdGxQOER0ZXg2QTcwT3NmaXNWT2c#gid=0 A few quick things: I can take pictures of anything you are interested in. Buyer pays actual shipping. I am very willing to cut the buyer a deal, but the more you buy the better deal I can give you. I want this stuff gone quickly, so if you want the whole thing shoot me an offer!
  14. You quoted someone who asked "where was the buyer from", who quoted me when asking the question. From there, you threw out some speculation that had nothing to do with the sale, so I was clearing that up. I understand you didn't have any ill intent, but there isn't any sense in speculation when you can just ask the source directly. Vcoleiro: Oh yeah, I was well aware that the other auction was bid up excessively buy a number of people ho had no intentions of buying the cart. Scummy move by those folks. With the insane hype on countless news sites about the "sale" for $100k, I struck while the iron was hot. Highest previous offer I had received was $8k for the game, and the highest confirmed sale was around $17.3k on Howard Phillip's personal copy that included a TON of additional materials. I couldn't be happier with the price I got, regardless of what the next one sells for. It was a good day
  15. You do realize that my sale was for US buyers only, right? Says so right in the listing brother... No sense in speculating when you can just ask me directly, that's how rumors get started. Vcoleiro: Once I get positive feedback from the sale, I'll release the buyers location. They are indeed from the US though if that helps. Fair enough?
  16. I can confirm 2 things for folks interested: - The $17,500 sale was legit. It was my sale, and I recieved payment. The game shipped today and the buyer should get it at 10 AM tomorrow. - The payment came in a single paypal transaction (my brother posted contradictory info in the NA thread by mistake). I did however call EBay ahead of time and let them know that I was listing an item that exceeded the Paypal maximun of $10k, so I'm not sure if that made a difference. Can't comment on much else as I wasn't involved in much else, but wanted to shed some light over things some have speculated about.
  17. Well over half sold at this point, don't miss out if you were on the fence! I updated recently to show the label and a cool video of the label making process. These should be ready to ship by this weekend/middle of next week.
  18. Hi Folks! Here it is, the OFFICIAL Chuck Yeager's Fighter Combat reservation thread! This has been nearly 4 years in the making and we are so very proud to be able to present you with this unreleased game! A few things you should know: - This is NOT a presale thread. No money will exchange hands until after the games are 100% finished and ready to ship. - The game is made of COMPLETELY NEW PARTS! This is the first project Matt and I have done without the use of any donor materials. No carts were harmed in the making of this game . Currently, we are only aiting for cart stickers and inserts to be finished, and we predict those to be done by the end of the week! - The game will cost $85 shipped in the US, $100 Shipped to Canada, and $110 Worldwide. The international prices stink due to the higher cost of flate rate postage seen here : http://cr.colostate.edu/documents/ShapedRates.pdf ; I know it sucks, but it is what it is. The PCBs alone are almost $25, so the cost has to be a bit higher than our previous releases. In order to reserve a spot you must: Post in this thread Put the number you want in this thread Put your country it is shipping to in this thread If you don't follow these rules, I'll have to skip over your request - Once you have requested to reserve a number, I will PM you with payment instructions. - You have 2 days to accept the transaction, and 3 days after they are ready to ship to pay. Any longer than this, and I will leave appropriate feedback and your number goes back up for grabs. Sorry, but I've done 3 full reproduction runs in the past with far too many tire kickers. Granted this will be slightly different for AA folks, but let's make sure things go smoothly - There is no maximum number you can purchase, buy as many as you like. If you buy more than one, I will charge actual shipping. The package includes: 1, Chuck Yeager's Fighter Combat Nintendo Entertainment System Game cartridge (Green), hand numbered ____/150 1, Chuck Yeager's Fighter Combat BitBox case with Artwork, hand numbered ____/150 1, Chuck Yeager Wingman pin (included in your flat rate box) 1, Surprise insert with your favorite Brigadier General! Every game has been play tested by Matt until he shot down at least 2 fighter jets, so we know that they function correctly. What you should know about this game: Chuck Yeager's Fighter Combat was set to be released on the Nintendo Entertianment System. The game wqas shopped out to several major publishers, though none were ever attached formally to the game In May of 2010, the only known prototype of this game came up for open auction on Ebay. My brother, BeaglePuss, won the auction for the then record price for an NES prototype; roughly $2,700. As far as gameplay, there are some serious highs and lows: Highs: - Synth voice that is super cool and fairly impressive for an NES game. The quality is as you'd expect, but there are many more phrases and words than I can recall on any NES game. - Early 3D polygonal graphics. The graphics on this game are pretty intense, and on those alone I'm shocked that it never saw a full release. - Gameplay depth. There are multiple camera angles you can choose that really show off the graphics, each mission is unique with various goals, you can re-fuel mid-flight which is very cool, and one of the weapons is a missle that you control in the first person that is absolutely epic on the NES. The game also features a few co-op multiplayer options that add depth. - The game is fully finished. That's not something that can be said about many protos that went entirely unreleased on ANY platform. Lows: - It's a flight sim. If you like flight sims, you should love this. If you don't, well, it's a flight sim. - The controls and learning curve are stiff. It takes some serious getting used to in order to pull off some of the missions, so you've been warned! - There is some minimal graphic glitching in the intro. It's small and is only found in the very first cut scene. The ROM has been ever so slightly modified (thanks Bunny!) to remove some minor graphics glitching in the intro. After a full sell out, Matt and I will be releasing the ORIGINAL UNALTERED ROM for FREE for everyone to download and enjoy! I think that's pretty much it. If you have any questions/comments/concerns, please let me know! The sign up list is going to be maintained exclusively on NintendoAge as to not make things more confusing. You may, however, post in this thread to reserve your space and I will update the list on NA. http://www.nintendoage.com/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=6&threadid=115880
  19. Unfortunately, Matt and I are long out of the reproduction game. We haven't done a Genny repro in probably a year and a half now. That being said, we're still going to do runs for protos that we have. For instance, Chuck Yeager's Fighter Combat should be ready to ship in the next week or two. Very excited for that one as it's the first we've done with all new parts.
  20. Half year bump! Sold several, own about 10 more that I haven't put on the list yet. Anything in red is unreleased.
  21. Very cool man! Very nice write up, thanks for the shout out!
