  1. thank you for answering my question, I thought they were related. 😅
  2. Hi all, I wanted to ask how to turn off the illegal opcode from debug mode or not? Since I have disabled on the CPU Greetings
  3. thanks for sharing the source code, it is very inspiring. 🤩 I would move the ATRACT to avoid the screen saver when moving or not moving the joystick. game mva #$00 ATRACT stop_snd ; Timer to stop sound I reviewed it and I see it very well, although I am not an expert. So go ahead, practice makes perfect.😉
  4. First of all congratulations 🎉, it is a great achievement to make such a nice game using few resources and in assembly language. 🤩 Secondly tell us more what assembler you used, support program, etc... also interesting series that in the future you publish the source code on github for example to encourage people to develop. 😉
  5. No problem, I can wait, it's not urgent, just a reminder. 😉
  6. Hi @manterola I sent you a PM a while ago, I hope you can help me 😅 greetings
  7. Personally for me none of them emulates 100% of the real units. I have all the devices, but none of my favorite as I always find something that is not supported. 😅
  8. just remember that A8PICOCart was designed for XL/XE. there is no support for 400/800. 😉
  9. no problem just suggestions 😉, another option would be to make a mini XEGS type keyboard that connects to the front via a DB15 port for example, in case you can't use USB stuff.
  10. is also an option, but I see two things to think about: including a keyboard that would increase the cost because of the custom keyboard and the case because it would be bigger. another point the users, some like the layout of the keyboard 400/800, XL, XE or XEGS. that's why i had thought about a usb keyboard so the user can choose to his taste. but i don't know if electronically it would be easy to implement.😅
  11. tell me the truth, do you currently use it? there are few 4 player games so I don't find it that relevant. 😅 maybe to the left or right side but since it will have memory expansion I don't see it as relevant. 😅 What I forgot was the RESET button very important for the multi cartridges. thinking a little more and if we place the START, SELECT, OPTION and RESET buttons as the XEGS since 80% of the people use it to play so you do not need to have connected a keyboard and if you go to program place a usb keyboard.
  12. For me the main thing is the front and the top for the cartridge. Now I explain my concept, 2 for joystick or any other device, 2 usb for whatever you want for example keyboard, mouse, etc.. a led for on or off and another led to indicate if you are reading or writing something by the SIO port. the top part for the XEGS type cartridge. The back for the SIO connector, settings buttons, SD reader, on/off button, hdmi port, 3.5 jack for video and audio. I find that to be the most important and basic. 😅
  13. For me the main thing multi standard NTSC and PAL, also that it works correctly with ATARI peripherals and all the software of yesteryear. 😅
  14. As I see you still don't understand, I'll explain it quickly. The ROM format works with the type of cartridges designed by ATARI these are 8k, 16k and the standard XEGS. Now many other manufacturers made their own 8k, 16k, 32k, etc. versions. Then the CAR format was invented to be able to correctly identify each cartridge, since some of them have some particularities of their own like memory usage, buttons, etc... This rule applies to all emulation from atari800, altirra and cartridges such as AVGCart, Ultimate, etc...😉
  15. Strange that it doesn't work for you, since it has the same technique as the Turbo 2000 which is to turn off RD5. 😉 Dmos.car Altirra does not have support for cartridges that must shut down RD5. 😉
  16. Good tools. As a good idea to unify them and make a user interface. Also you can install it easily from a package so that people with little knowledge can use it without compiling.
  17. Thanks, but that ROM is already altered from before so I wouldn't call it original. 😉
  18. Cartridge proof of concept "Universal RAM COPY" This cartridge needs the 5 vols to be turned off, but since this is not possible without adding more electronics to the design. I came up with the idea to modify it to be activated by turning off RD5 like the turbo 2000. 😁 Now I need your help for testing @w1k Instructions for use: Have the firmware updated with the latest version delivered in this thread by me. disable basic (hold down the OPTION key until the cartridge is loaded) test the copy operation. Universal Ram Copy.car
  19. Hi @w1k You can open your cartridge and take pictures of the board to see exactly what the button does so you can emulate it in a8picocart.😄 greetings
  20. Thanks for sharing, but they were versions I already had. 😉
  21. Why don't you use the existing one that is a global variable? Or do you want to use a larger dimension? There is a limit to emulate only 128k cartridges. cartridges. 😉
  22. I found another game, but it strikes me if it was published in the ANALOG magazine because there exists a cartridge version by Romox. Retrofire! (1983)(Romox)(US).car
  23. There are two reasons that happened to me when I made the firmware change at runtime.😅 Reading in the wrong place in the code. Not identifying well the type of cartridge and the type of banking it uses.
  24. thanks for the help, I also found Superman III already patched in case you need it. 😉
  25. Does anyone have this game already patched for XL? 😅 Star Trux (1982)(Os-b).car
