  1. Ebay is full of adapters that you can use.. http://cgi.ebay.com/VGA-MONITOR-ADAPTOR-FO...1QQcmdZViewItem I've never personally seen THAT one, but it seems to be pretty nice. But as is says you will need to know if your 500 has a denise or super denise. Also ebay is full of those 520's... Here are the specs: * video modulator allows TV sets to display Amiga graphics * provides a standard UHF RF output as well as a standard composite video output * three RCA connectors: o RF output o colour composite output o mono audio input - connected to the stereo Amiga output with an Y-cable * channel selector switch * atrocious video quality * PAL and NTSC versions Also genlocks might do the trick for you as well, search ebay for those.
  2. I picked up one of these just for the miniature joystick. I feel a bit bad now knowing this guy got screwed over by Atari. Has anyone else here bothered to mod/use it as a normal joystick?
  3. You guys are being very helpful, I appreciate all the insight. What about the "Top" line of programmers and "Chipmaster" are any of them good? I would like something that does Pic as well as eprom etc. Something that is fairly simple to use. Parallel or usb does not make a difference to me. I think I would be willing to spend up to $300 or so. Is that a good price range?
  4. I was wondering what good brands as when it comes to eprom programmers? I have a willem and it seems I should have done a lot more homework before getting it hahah. Are Chipmaster programmers good? I trust the forum members opinion here so I figured it would be a good place to begin asking.
  5. Here is a little secret for all the old thermal printers.. You can use the old thermal fax paper rolls on them WITHOUT print cartridges For b/w printing that is... Does anyone have a link to the Okimate 10 manual or have one scanned I could see?
  6. hahaha ouuuch... well could you tell me exactly how you have your jumpers set just so I can make sure? also ripping old eproms out of this space fury cartridge to use probably didnt help matters.. although they did erase alright. i'll probably buy a batch of blanks now and resurrect the thing..
  7. I have a universal dual powered PCB3 programmer.. I'm trying to program intel 2764's... I have the dip switches set the way the program (Version 0.97ja) tells me to and the JP5 and JP6 jumpers set for 21v I also tested the voltage going to the sockets with the h/w test section and it seems correct... It will read my eproms just fine.. and they check out again known roms. I've erased them and they check out in the blank check. When I try to program though I get Error at 0x000000 Chip - 0x00 buffer - 0xAA Could these chips just be too old? Am I missing some jumper setting I need to change? Did I fry the programmer or is it just junk? Any help would be appreciated
  8. I picked up a colecovision space fury cartridge on ebay and opened it up to find two intel D2764-4 eproms. Is this is a normal occurrence or is this a rare cart? Also if I wanted to burn a homebrew game to the chips how do I go about it? Split the bin and burn one half to each chip?
