  1. I did a lot of writing in Word Writer back in the day. I ended up trying out some other word processors (name 1st Word and Atari Works) but always went back to Word Writer due to its easy to use layout, and probably just my own familiarity with it.
  2. Wow, I thought status updates were gone for good. This might've been a can of worms best left closed, though...

      Oh goodie!  More Garfield updates!

But what do our shape-shifting reptilian overlords think about it? They may not approve.

My solution is a filter in uBlock Origin to kill the stupid update panel.  Now I don't have to see them at all because the forum ignore feature sucks so bad that ignored users can still show up in these updates.

  3. Yeah, JagChris is right about this. Hopefully the guy who contacted you is willing to open up a bit more about that project at some point in the future.
  4. Wow, all of those hours of me playing Buggy Boy on my ST must have been a false memory then.
  5. Mad props to Rich for creating this emu and then releasing it to the public. If I can pry myself away from my Mac long enough to install it on my Windows box, I'll give it a go.
  6. Just got my copy a few days ago, and have to say I'm quite impressed with the amount of content they have in it. And I have to agree that the Jag games do seem to run a bit better than on the original hardware. Still, though, it's nice to be able to play T2K on my Nintendo Switch.
  7. And that's not even mentioning interlacing. Never understood how Amiga owners could even want to try bumping up their display resolutions without a line doubler and flicker fixer.
  8. Just my own two cents here, but this statement rings extremely true, to the point where I'd place its priority above something like framerate when it comes to determining a game's graphical fidelity.
  9. Nothing other than badly photoshopped images or amateur 3D mockups that take about 0.001% of the effort of the "amateur 16-bit shovelware Jag releases" made by "programmers trying to cash-in on die-hard fans' nostalgia". Make of that what you will.
  10. I bought No Man's Sky on the PC ages ago when it was on sale like a year or two after launch, and enjoyed it a bit. However, I say "a bit" because the gameplay seemed rather shallow, and mining simply became tedious after a while without much else in the game to keep my attention. I've tried to jump back in a few times since then after major updates to see if it's become more fun to play, but some frustrations with the game have made that a short-lived experience each and every time. As much as I've been tempted to buy the Switch port, I'd really hate to waste that money on a game that I've already given up on several times in the past. As it stands, I simply can't fathom paying $60 for this port.
  11. I think you can find them just about anywhere.
  12. I just finished BotW myself, after taking my time with it and trying to get the most out of the game through the first playthrough. I'm almost tempted to try springing for the DLC but considering I've been going a bit wild with purchasing discounted games for the Switch, I figure it's time to actually start giving some of them a try. The time period between now and TotK's release should give me plenty opportunity to do just that.
  13. But...but...the Jag can do MIPMAP Vectoring with full alpha-shading and textured polygons! How do I know this? Because I imagine it to be true!
  14. I'm still playing BotW. The game definitely lives up to the expectations that I had after hearing all of the glowing reviews of it back when it was first released. Even if TotK just turns out to be more of the same, it'll be a day one purchase from me.
  15. I bought this game (along with Gravitar Recharged) on the Switch, and I've been enjoying it quite a bit.
  16. You'll find people like that in every fandom, Nintendo by no means has a monopoly on that type of fan behavior.
  17. No kidding. With how some haters rag on Nintendo and complain about every last thing they do or make, you'd think that the company's existence is a threat to their manhood or something. I get having favorites or just in general not liking certain things, but their need to constantly express it in a forum dedicated to the thing they hate shows some underlying issues.
  18. As soon as I read the part about sniffing the cart, that same thought came to mind. I hear they taste great!
  19. It's like you didn't read any of the posts regarding ppera being *coughcough* "cancelled" from AA. Here, I'll post my own reply which explains the whole thing in a little more detail. I suggest you actually read it this time. Now, can we PLEASE stop with the whole "AA clique" thing?
  20. First of all, check my name again, and spell it correctly. It's not that difficult, it's only 6 letters. And not sure why you're trying to pick on CJ here, he's but one of many who have been telling you the same thing.
  21. Wow, at this rate he's going to catch up to the all time "Banned from Forums" leader, Kieren Hawken. This is hardly the same as being "cancelled". It's not like there's some grand conspiracy between Atari-focused forum admins rubbing their hands together and cackling after hitting the ban button. People who are troublemakers or who have caustic personalities tend to consistently repeat the same behavior elsewhere. I had no idea he had been banned from AF or the other forums, but hearing it doesn't surprise me in the least.
  22. I can't imagine how you Evercade-playing folks can try to make a run through that game without using a mouse. A far better idea is to 1.) Buy it on GOG for cheap, and 2.) play it using Open Fodder.
