  1. Right now I'm hoping to get Eternal Darkness for the GC. After that, the typicial big name GC games are on my waiting list:

    Mario Sunshine

    Zelda

    Metroid Prime

    Star Fox Adventures

    etc.

Hopefully I'll be getting a PS2 sometime soon, so when I do I'm gonna have a bit of game shopping to do.

  2. I apologize for my scrutiny.  If I were in the market for a Falcon, I'd definitely take you up on your offer.  I'm surprised no one has so far!

That's probably because not too many people are willing to pay $1000 for a system less powerful than almost every Quadra Apple had released around that time, which can now be had for less than $100. I have no doubt that $1000 is reasonable when compared to what they sell for brand new from Best or B&C, but for the rest of the world it's quite unreasonable. But I guess that's how supply and demand work....

  3. Actually, it's quite possible to do at least a very stripped down version of Linux on the ST. It would be severely handicapped, though. The stock ST chipset is missing a few features that Linux generally takes advantage of. However, it is still possible, even without a hard drive. There's several Linux distros available that fit just fine on a floppy disk, although they're mostly highly specialized for a specific task.

If you happen to have a Falcon030, TT030, or a Hades system, check out http://www.netbsd.org/Ports/atari/ for a port of NetBSD. I haven't personally used it yet, but if it's anything like FreeBSD, it should be fairly simple to install.

  4. I just know the seven pics on the above mentioned link.

For a one-level demo the background looks very different and exciting!

OMC Games wants to finish this game? Would be great!  :D

Who was develloping originally this game? Also OMC Games???

Do you guys know if Native has been developed so far as the demo version is

or have they made some more levels which has not been published yet??

    Regards,

    Thomas

Native was originally made by Duranik Software.

The fact that OMC is working on it does not bode well. Unfortunately, they have a long history of starting and abandoning Jaguar projects. They also seem to drag their feet on the ones they do work on. They've been working on jag projects now for about as long as BattleSphere was in development, and nobody has seen anything more than a crude demo come from them.

I wish they would put forth more tangible effort. I hope they do this time.

I wish them the best of luck.

Let's not forget that James is basically 1 guy. He occassionally gets help from several other people, but nothing reliable. He's had his hands full with quite a few different things, as I can personally attest to. He's working on these projects as hard as he can, but real life keeps getting in the way. Let's just say, though, that you guys should be pretty impressed by what you see at JagFest 2K2.

  5. Despite what a few select people may say, the DC has one of the best game collections for any system. Honestly, there's way too many great games available to list. Most of the suggestions offered up so far are definitely on that list. However, here's a few of mine:

    Phantasy Star Online

    Record of Lotus War

    Capcom vs. SNK 2 (import)

    Shenmue II (import)

    Mars Matrix

    Jet Grind Radio

    Street Fighter III: Third Strike

    Elemental Gimmick Gear

    Skies of Arcadia

    Grandia II

I'm in the process of putting together spreadsheets of my entire game collection. Once I complete my DC spreadsheet, I'll put it up on my website (still under construction). I've been pretty good about avoiding the crap games (DO NOT under ANY circumstances buy Spawn!), so most of my games are worth owning.

  6. Yes, I have a Nuon. Mine is a Samsung N501 DVD player, although there were several other Samsung and Toshiba players which were also released with the Nuon chipset. There's even an RCA Nuon player on the way, although it's not gonna include the controller ports.

Are you looking for an opnion on the Nuon DVD players?

  7. I don't remember my exact high score, but I did get close to (but not quite) 1,000,000 once. My typical good scores were around 800,000 though. I do know of a few people who hang around here and JI2 that could whip my score without breaking a sweat.

  8. Thanks everyone. I've already had a bit of fun with it today. And yes, there's always something that needs to be fixed, which in this case would be the paddles. Unfortunately, WD-40 hasn't done the trick yet, so I may need to take these suckers completely apart.

  9. After well over a decade of inactivity while having to endure extremely long sits in the closet, numerous moves, and various other problems, my 2600 is finally running again! It merely took a quick stop by Goodwill Computer Works, where I picked up 2 sets of paddles and 2 joysticks, and then several stops at Radio Shack, trying to find the right AC adapter.

Anyway, just had to get on here and brag. Now I just need to fix those paddles...

  10. Thanks for the info guys! I'm actually hoping to start developing for the Lynx, and maybe move to the older consoles afterwards. I have actually done 6502 and 68k before, but it's been YEARS since I've done any kind of programming.
