  1. Better yet, just get Medal of Honor: Allied Assault for the PC. It's much much MUCH better than MOH:Frontline.
  2. I think interest in discussing the Jag just goes in spurts. We need a new release to help spurn on some more discussion. Speaking of which....any news on another run of BSG?
  3. I guess that explains why I couldn't find PSO or the BBA anywhere this weekend....Grrr.....
  4. Any PowerMac can be set up with a RAID, in case you didn't know. Support for what? Name something a PC can do that a Mac can't. How does the PS2 suck? Care to start supporting your blanket statements with facts? Yes, Sony's quality control could do a better job. Does that mean that defects never happen to other consoles?
  5. The amount os M$ fanboys just goes to show how stupid people can be.
  6. Another vote for Austin, of course. The last thing we had here was JagFest 2K, so we're in dire need of another show.
  7. You're looking too hard at the shell of the game, not the gameplay itself. 10 minutes of playing Mario Sunshine convinced me that Nintendo hasn't missed a step as far as gameplay is concerned. However, nothing on the Xbox has shown me that, despite the eye candy thrown into the games.
  8. Wow, I managed to hold off this long without jumping into this thread... Fact is, the XBox just doesn't have many game worth playing. Halo, and a handful of other mediocre titles just isn't gonna sell a system in this day and age. Compared to both the PS2 and GameCube, the XBox lineup just plain sucks. Just to jump back off-topic, how can you people say that M$ has the best OS available? Have any of you even used anything else? Obviously not...
  9. Pikmin is actually a pretty great game, albeit a bit on the short side. I'd definitely recommend renting it, if nothing else. If you're looking for a more adult-type game, I can't say enough good things about Eternal Darkness. I highly recommend picking it up.
  10. I guess this could become the perpetual AC thread. Anyway, I just started a town myself. I haven't done much or received much, so my house is pretty bare so far. I did, however, get a cool looking rocket that's too big to fit anywhere in my house! Oh well, maybe I can donate it to the museum... Name: Sauron Town: Mordor
  11. From what I've read on the game (which has been quite a bit the last few days!), a new person will move into your town each day. I guess we'll see how that goes. I have yet to play the game myself, but rest assured I'll dig into it as soon as I get home!
  12. sega working only for nintendo is baaaaadd!!! i neevr want to see it. if they were going to make games for one system, why not stick with dreamcast but just not make any more systems? still what will big N do? Sega working only for Nintendo is MUCH better than working only for M$ or $ony. Nintendo and Sega have had a mutual respect all these years, even though they've been competitors. The rumors started off as Sega joining forces exclusively with one of the three big hardware makers. Only since the acquisition of Rare by M$ have the rumors pointed Sega towards Nintendo.
  13. If the rumors about Nintendo dumping Rare to buy exclusivity with Sega are true, then I'd happily trade Rare for Sega.
  14. Actually Nintendo is just hitting it's stride, with the release of Mario Sunshine boosting sales by 50% for Nintendo, and the "heavy-hitters" close to being here. I don't think Nintendo will be able to catch up with Sony, but they'll definitely take quite a large chunk from them. The Xbox will be left languishing far behind both of them, IMO.
  15. Supposedly, Animal Crossing will let you collect and trade classic NES games with others. I'm really interested in seeing what games were included.
  16. Actually, MacGurl, we have 18 5200 games. I think there were only a couple in that lot that we don't already have. However, BallBlazer definitely caught my eye, but even then we already have it for the 7800.
  17. I still maintain that the Dreamcast is one of the greatest systems ever made. It probably has the highest AAA - Crap ratio I've ever seen on a console. Sure, there are some stinkers, but your odds of randomly grabbing a DC game and having it turn out to be good to great are far higher than any other console. I would HIGHLY suggest that you grab one now while you can still find it and the games for relatively cheap. I know a few of the rarer games (ie. Record of Lodoss War, Bangai-O) are starting to rise in cost, and won't remain at a reasonable price for much longer.
  18. I have the European (PAL) release of Shenmue II and I have no trouble booting it with the GameShark. I haven't played the Japanese version, so I have no idea if it has English subtitles or not. It is, however, generally less expensive than the European version.
  19. I definitely plan on buying it (along with Super Monkey Ball 2), but not on Tuesday. I have to wait a bit before I can get it.
  20. 5 minutes of playing this game convinced me that I had better things to do.
  21. I've noticed a VERY disturbing trend in console gaming as of late. Namely, the porting of the FPS (First Person Shooter) to the console. Now, don't get me wrong, I still like the FPS genre. However, I like it on my PC. I DO NOT LIKE IT ON A F***ING CONSOLE!!!! First person shooters just SUCK on a console, even with the analogue sticks that all of the consoles now have. It wasn't that bad when games like Doom and AvP for the Jag where on the consoles, as your typical controller was quite capable of handling these games. However, given a choice between buying Return to Castle Wolfenstein on a PC or console, I'm DEFINITELY going to the PC. Given the choice between a console and nothing though, I'll pick nothing. Just my thoughts on that. Anyone in agreement with me here?
  22. I would definitely be interested in snagging a coaxial style RF, as I need one bad. Do any of the manual switching ones exist that have pass-through connectors?
  23. The PS2 does have a decent lineup of games for it. The thing is, there aren't too many more on the way that I'm really looking forward to (other than Devil May Cry 2). The GameCube, on the other hand, seems to have a much more impressive lineup on the way. I think the GameCube may start catching up to the PS2 (but not quite all the way) in the next year. So I'll maintain that both systems have good selections available for them. The XBox, on the other hand, needs a miracle in order to make a serious dent in the console market. I don't think XBox Live is gonna make that dent, either.
  24. I'll be sure to pick that game up when I buy an Xbox in about a year at clearance prices.
