Funny. This old WiFi adapter won't work on Windows 10, yet the Raspberry Pi 1 picked it right up and is using it.

There may be something in control panel that you might be able to change to get it working. My HP Spectre laptop was absolutely crawling along at around 1.5mbps at my daughter's place after she switched broadband provider. Everything else in the house seemed to work fine with the new router. Looking at the router's control panel, everything else was connected to it at 2.4Ghz while the laptop was at 5Ghz. So I tried forcing the laptop to default to the 2.4Ghz signal (by going into the Network Adapter settings in the control panel and disabling the standards that cause it to try to connect at 6Ghz) and now it accesses the internet as fast as anything else in the house.
