  1. Only 150,000 - 200,000 Heavy Sixers were made. Your serial number is over 1 million so doesn't look like it there. Also, Heavy Sixers bear the "Sunnyvale CA" mark on the serial sticker. Others are Taiwan, etc.
  2. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=1348854324 Buy it now if you want to take a chance. Could be a mint copy?
  3. PA huh. I know a couple people in Hershey. Good point and very well said. I don't deal too much with the security aspect, but still think that there needs to be a way to identify a fraudulent seller better than is currently in place. If it wasn't for the people here in this forum, I think that the seller of the rare Atari games would have gotten a lot more of people's money. It's forums like this where we must be vigilant against these sort of people. What if the seller moves, gets a new credit card number and email address, and starts again fresh. There needs to be something in place to protect the masses. I personally can't think of anything that is so attached to a person no matter where they go as a ssn.
  4. I have this Dynasound organizer gamecenter that looks hardly used. Box and everything included, no cracks or chips at all. Made for Atari, INTV, ColecoVision, C64, etc. I ship USPS Priority mail, and it weighs about 6 lbs. Shipping should be 8.50 to 10.90 with delivery confirmation depending on where you live (US only please). I figure $5 will atleast make it worth going to the post office.
  5. I'm selling 45 Atari 2600 games: http://page.auctions.shopping.yahoo.com/au...42?aucview=0x70
  6. http://www.atariage.com/box_page.html?Soft...3&BoxStyleID=51 White box style. It's a legit box, only a 2 on the rating scale.
  7. Yeah, in Adventure you can make a little man instead of a square, dragons and swordplay could be enhanced. Music, the castles, maze, secrets, all could be revamped. Okay programmers, get to work!
  8. I think SSN is the only way to go. As a phone company employee, we have access to SSN's. I've been there close to 5 years and have never heard of any incidents. With the SSN, you can track a lot better than with a credit card. I think that has to happen eventually. Kind of like applying for a business license, leads more credibility to the sellers.
  9. http://cgi6.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?...&sort=2&rows=25 I'd really like to bid on some of the games, but wanted to know what some of the experts (or novices) think?
  10. Looks like I have a buyer. Thanks for reading!
  11. If anyone is interested, I listed a Sears Atari Heavy Sixer on Yahoo auctions. http://page.auctions.shopping.yahoo.com/au...37?aucview=user Just the system only, but it's super clean and has a low serial number. Buy it now for $30. I really cleaned it well, and added some MCL I just got from RadioShack online.
  12. I was once looking for a box link but couldn't find one.
  13. Heavy Sixer box would be 1977, and all other 6 switches 1978. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

    Holy Cow!

You gotta check this out! http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=1341836302 You could go into retro convulsions!
  15. It was my dream console. I got a 1977 Sears Heavy Sixer when I was 11 years old for Christmas (right when it all started), and I was lovin' it. I think all Christmas day I played Target Fun. I felt like the most special kid in the world. Gotta love parents!
  16. I just started collecting Atari stuff. I found an old time video game store in Ventura, but his prices are on the high side. Seems as if eBay is my only option for now.
  17. Just wondering how the Sears Heavy Sixer ranks for collectors? Is it as desirable as the Atari version? I heard that 150,000 Heavy Sixers were made. Is that including the Sears version? Just wondering since I have 1, and just picked up another for $15. I almost got an Atari Heavy Sixer on eBay for $30. But, by the time I asked a question to determine the model and cosmetics, someone used buy-it-now. What was frustrating is that the seller did respond that it was a Sunnyvale with intact label, and rated a 9 out of 10 on the cosmetics. Oh well, life continues.
