  1. I just want to say I agree with this 100%. I don't appreciate threats, even mild ones, and frankly, jaybird, if you can't understand what's being said here, that's fine, it's not my problem. It is my problem when the forum I enjoy has been invaded by someone who appeared to be a nice person but ended up being a carnival huckster and appears to have carte blanche while the rest of us have to walk on eggshells. Or, can one of us hide behind "WHERE I COME FROM, WE BUST BALLS" and the rest of us can't? Also my problem is whether or not I choose to continue supporting this site by subscribing. Hidebound moderation does not increase my enthusiasm for re-upping my subscription.
  2. What kind of tacos would your aunt enjoy? I'm sure we'd love a blistering, in depth account of your aged aunt who hasn't enjoyed tacos for a long time and now has a new way to enjoy said tacos.
  3. One thing I hope is different this next generation (assuming I bother, etc.); I hate having to install games on disc to the hard drive. I just want to pop in a disc and not have to think whether I cleared out enough HD space and already installed the thing or not. And yes, I realize the answer is "get a bigger hard drive,"... I did that, it's just something that really irked me about the PS4.
  4. There used to be ads for this kind of thing in old gaming mags, and I was always insanely jealous of them. You'd buy, essentially, a kit to build an arcade cabinet, supply a 19" TV and a Nintendo or whatever, and presto! Instant arcade. At any rate, these days, if you're going to go to the trouble to do this, a MAME set up as already mentioned countless times is probably gonna be the best bang for your buck.
  5. I feel bad for those who already invested a lot into the OSSC, but obviously this is a cool thing.
  6. Bells & Whistles (aka Detana Twinbee), Fire Pro Wrestling World and, altho' I'm not very good at it, a ton of A Robot Named Fight
  7. I don't think they have aged particularly well, but I wasn't really a big fan of nascent 3D even in it's day.
  8. I love the Saturn to death, but SEGA was plagued with too many problems. You had SEGA Japan and SEGA of America butting heads, the relative difficulty of programming for the Saturn, the lack of any real killer apps (not saying there weren't good games, of course, but there were very few must haves), and eroding consumer (and indeed, retailer) confidence. A perfect storm of problems that couldn't be overcome.
  9. My wife and I watched some streamers we like play this, and she quite fancied the idea of playing herself. However, Alice being an Android makes NO SENSE AT ALL and basically ruins that whole part of the story.
  10. it's more than I expected, honestly.
  11. Yeah, Retromania is going to cover several independent promotions, apparently, and hopefully be available on many different platforms. I hope they really make something as fun and endlessly playable and arcadey as WrestleFest.
  12. Fire Pro Wrestling World Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 Burgertime Party (demo)
  13. We're going to pretend Mr Tallerico didn't ask for thoughts about it?
  14. Plus, thinking critically, the handful of us with Retron 5s left already have this exact same functionality.
  15. I like (some) Hyperkin products... But I dunno. http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2020/01/this_cube-like_console_play_will_play_every_game_boy_game_on_your_tv Yes, I realize the Analogue Pocket will likely cost three plus times as much, but it's going to probably be there times as useful. Perhaps Hyperkin should have passed, this time.
  16. The music to Bad Omen / Devilish is OUTSTANDING. That opening track gives me goosebumps. I only wish the game worked a bit better, because I love the premise. Much like Sonic Spinball, they had a cool idea; it just wasn't carried out to best effect.
  17. I was going to say... surely if you're patient, you can get a better deal than 90 bucks at Gamestop.
  18. No, I get that. It's writing off anybody's money as "insignificant."
  19. I mean, I'm sure it's a useful marketing tool, if nothing else
