Ah, so now i finally know who made this! Funny now that i know it i also hear "stella says: write a game"
Have you made any more speech demos?
Yep, Simon Quernhorst's Demos are cool too! Be sure to check out the other demos by wAMMA, Gehirn, Lasertime and Hard.
Great Stuff!
I tried it in stella and z26 and it seems to work better in z26. I also couldn't make out what it said, as far as i could understand "they must see the light again"..?
I don't know about a game called the core but your description reminds me of Radial Pong which was afaik never finished.
Was it something like this?
Radial_Pong_beta_12.bin
I can't think of any other games with speech but i found this Rom in my collection, a speech demo:
EDIT: Doh... i forgot (core), a very cool demo!
Say.bin
Planet Atari is a great site! The reviews are well written and fun to read.
I think you should mention the hidden "Wizard"-game in your Phantom II/Pirate review, there are 3 complete games on this cart.
I stumbled over a few shortcuts again.
Level 7:
L,D,L,U,R,D,R,D,L,D,R,U,R,U,R,D
Level 23:
D,L,U,L,D,L,U,R,D,L,U,L,U,R,D,R,D,R (setting the number of moves to 19 would be best here i guess)
Level 25:
L,D,R,D,L,D
Yup, without a doubt.Strat-O-Gems Deluxe is a great game while Acid Drop is just a decent but not terrible exciting game.
You did a great job on it!
And i personally would rather buy Strat-O-Gems Deluxe from the AA-Store for just 25 bucks instead of Acid Drop for 35 bucks.
IMO Acid Drop is a quite decent Columns clone if only you could turn off that crappy music.
