Top 5 Videogame anime/movies of all time.
Impaler_26 replied to A Sprite's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Silent Hill is the only good one i've seen. The Mortal Kombat and Tomb Raider movies are crap and the RE movies are so so. -
You can find a few Hacks/Homebrews you can't get in the AA-Store at Packrat VG and 8-Bit Classics. Also check out Salem Frost Games and Neotokeo's Site.

2007 Vintage Character Shodown - Round 1
Impaler_26 replied to Rhindle The Red's topic in Poll Forum
I like Pac-Man but Mr. Do is king!! Nothing beats a Clown throwing a ball I also voted for Sinistar and the Jousting Knight. And Dirk the Daring.... come on! Dragon's Lair wasn't even a real game IMO so i voted for Imagic's Hero. -
Yuck! I have Hydra for the C64 and belive me the C64-Version is even crappier than this. The graphics are even uglier and the gameplay is slow and dull!! This game sucks!! I just wonder on how many systems this bummer was released... I think it was also on the Amiga but i can't say for sure.

Sad to hear that Paladin won't be finished It's a very promising project and i would have loved to play the completed version! But nevertheless if you don't enjoy programming it anymore than stopping it is the right thing to do.... IMO both, playing and programming a game should be fun! Hm... I'd say the majority of people here on AA doesn't have a problem with bB.There might be a few people bashing it but why care? In the end it only counts if a game is fun to *you* or not and that is as you said subjective and has IMO nothing to do if it is programmed in bB or Assembly.

I just thought it would be nice if you could include a victory screen for finishing all 30 levels (if you have enough rom-space left)... and found 2 shortcuts: Level 22: L,D,L,D,R,D,L,U,R,D,R,D,R Level 23: D,L,D,L,U,L,U,R,D,R,D,R

Yup, "Happy Halloween" is the perfect name for this game! And look what i found...

The 70s Games: What Games Would Had Been Made from the 70s
Impaler_26 replied to Atariboy2600's topic in Atari 2600
Nice Labels but there should also be a Judas Priest game! -
I haven't played the Arcade-version but the C64-version is great! The 2600-version is decent but nothing special.
-
I think i'm not the only one who would really appreciate a tutorial, would be nice if you can do that!

4 Junior's (only 2 of them work ), never had another model.

Any games you stink at but still love anyway?

Same here for me! I never got far playing Space Shuttle but i still find it fascinating! Another one that comes to my mind is Super Ghouls'n'Ghosts for the SNES, Great game but too freaking hard for me. -
Looks nice!

I finally spent some time playing this and i must say it's an absolutely awesome game! Pretty impressive for 4k and 100 times more fun to play than Atari's version. I'm looking forward to the 8k version now
-
As you can see here on AGH Z-Blocks is from 2000 and i just read that there were about 100 copies released in 2005...? Nevertheless i think you shouldn't give up on your game and i'm looking forward to see a demo!
-
EDIT: Nevermind, i just got this link Z-Blocks review. Really a nice game!!!

Hm... what about changing the name to "Halloween Hunt" or "Halloween Chase" ? I think the game should at least have "halloween" in the name when you wanna release it as a "halloween-cart". The "Red Skeleton" set-up could also be nice but i personally prefer the current one, i already got used to that little pumpkin and i like it
-
I don't find the theme of the game interesting but it's nicely made and fun to play!
-
I like the name Halloween Havoc (and it's title screen) better than Fred O'Lantern.
-
Yep, i saw a show mentioning something like that ages ago so i guess games with "dragons" would also count. In that case we shouldn't forget Xonox's Sir Lancelot.
-
Nice Concept! This could become a fun game, especially if you can implement a 1 player mode. I wouldn't worry about that, as a homebrew-programmer you have all the time of the world to finish your game

Surprise! A game I *don't* need help on!

I noticed that in Level 5 the number of required moves isn't reduced, it's still 25. Found another shortcut in Level 19: L,D,L,U,L,U,R,D,L,D,R,U,R I think it would be nice if you could start the game by pressing fire and if you could go back to the title screen during game by pressing reset. -
I guess that would make a nice game

Adventure has "dragons" and Stone Age is the only one with dinos i can think of...
