  1. Not everything, just the display timing code and DLI related stuff, the annoying part is digging through someone else's code and trying to make sense of how they did things..Basically, it's a boring old process... When I used to train games, I would swear some people were just evil in the way their code went all over the show just to do a decrement, god know's how much time they lost with this rambling way of coding.
  2. I hope it happens, beyond my pay grade, but unless you are a 'real machine' only person (I'm not fighting) then you could run it in Altirra in PAL or even try setting it to PAL60 to see if it still works.. Best of luck, maybe Santa will oblige..
  3. Nope, got about 30 copies of that same demo as above but not your one..Best of luck..
  4. Having fun with the game, now in to the offices and the elevator, seem to be stuck but the old pea brain will work it out. Thanks for the game folks, very nice indeed..
  5. Is the SD card write protected?
  6. Yes I am, Windows 10 to be exact, I know you are running under Wine but I have no real experience of that OS. It does seem to sound like a mixed OS situation, but if anyone can sort it (as long as it's not a specific Wine needed fix), Phaeron can..
  7. Works fine here using the traditional Crtl C and Crtl V combinations, I can pretype the db into the console window and then ctrl+C the address from the dissasembly window, and then Ctrl+V address into the console, hit return and it does what it should do. Just in case, the db isn't highlighted before you do the paste of the address? is it? If it is then the paste will erase the db, I type db and a space then paste the address.
  8. Hi @tmp, will the whole thing get to a customer level at some point?
  9. Yes it is, although the only 2 hopes of me passing those on are : Bob Hope and No Hope.. I remember seeing a thing on Instagram or similar where a young woman was so excited about getting her first credit card that she took a picture of it and posted it. Straight away an enterprising person (make that, criminal) posted back saying it was a nice looking card, what was the back like, she duly pictured the cards back with the security number. Cue (far too late) a torrent of people telling her to cancel the card.
  10. In cases like a broken pin it's best to disclose where you are (not your door number ) Often there are people that may be able to help..
  11. Yes, that's why the question, because I could see he was using both SIO port aand AVG PBI / ECG ports on the cart as well. I do hope it's not a pet personal project and a kit is made.. The 1541 Ultimate I have is great, but it could use a good mate
  12. @tmp I looked and checked and checked again for video tampering re the C64 AVG use and could not see any, so unless you are an accredited film editor as well as a cart making genius, I presume that the cart does work with the C64 and not a prank. Is it using the same sort of link to the IEC that the SIO cable does, ie it shows as a real 1541 to read the images off or is it just a cart and prg loader at the moment?
  13. While I agree that doing that is an angle on getting a price offered, I can't imagine how many people were put off simply BY using that as a starter price. Had the price been a little nuts then I think people might have offered where 14.5K just screams greed and stupidity.
  14. Hey, that's really neat, sure the other thing I mentioned does a load more but it's like $300 iirc (so it bloody well should do).. But yeah, really nice looking already..
  15. I take it that this is for a little desktop light display item, there's a far more advanced version (depending on how advanced you make yours) on Adrians Digital basement YT channel, I really wanted one until I found out the price (talk about Executive toy prices), best of luck with the build, look cool already..
  16. Has anyone looked at the Discord today, you are in for a big surprise.. Especially if you own both... For people who don't want to do Discord, here it is..
  17. How did they fit Dwayne Johnson in that box?
  18. Can't remember but most of the EU devs send some candy (and very nice too!)
  19. There's a cheat way to do this via emulation, just select a higher clock speed ie PAL 60 in Altirra, that way it keeps the system as PAL but 17.5% (?) faster. But as the guys say, it will break some stuff, especially those written / clocked for the PAL market. Display lists may break / fire at the wrong time etc etc It can be done, but its say a game developed and released ONLY in the UK then it's down to a coder to decide if they want to spend x time recoding the pre-written code and maybe have to relocate other code to make space.
  20. And so nice to know they were $1.99 back then..Lest we forget that they are SPECIAL COMPUTER TAPES...Made special since they are only 10mins long Not even much use on an Atari as many tape programs were well over a 10 min load..
  21. Yep, sounds like a load of aggravation, me, I'd just look for a cheap 800XL, I know it's a semi rare (?) model that you have but I'd get the XL and then try and fix the XLF as and when..
  22. I've pretty much always listed my rough details, when I moderated a usenet PSX group I was threatened by a pirate, he said he knew where I lived was going to "give me a kicking". Needless to say I remained un-kicked, years later the same guy apologised to me when we ran in to each other on a different forum. I've always been a big old lump but as I get on I do worry a little re all this, but then I think about the number of folks just stabbed for walking down the street, and then my partial details on an old Atari forum seem so unimportant. But yeah, it's nice to know who is local, makes it feel more like a club, but I've got so many friends all over the world thanks to places like here, so it's all good.
