For the Pack-in Game I would've pulled a Sega and put my best Title (aliens vs Predator) with the Jag, instead of the incredible mediocre Cybermorph

Another thing I would have done is made the Pro Controller the standard controller from the get go, cause face it, the original one is a POS

Owned a Jaguar back in '94-'95. Still have it stored somewhere, don't know where. Last year, I decided to get one again and rebuilt the collection. I'm one short. It's the evil Battlesphere. I have played it before and I felt so-so about it. I would like to have it just to complete a collection, but I'm torn. Anything over $300 is ridiculous for a game. Now I must admit, I went against my own words and bid recently for $380 and guess who outbid me? SS4U. Like he needs another. Anyway, I'm torn- Should I try to get this game?

 

 

Battleshpere is a good game, but its not not worth $300+ for gameplay, it's cause its ULTRA rare (same as Aircars) So if you really want one just for your collection to be complete be prepared to spen $300+ for it, otherwise dont even bother

Ok so I finally got Primal Rage for the Jag CD (from sweetstuff no less, go figure) and I am a little confused, on the picture of the main menu in the manual it has a section called the Making of Primal Rage, yet when I play the game I cant find that section anyware! Was that a misprint, or do you unlock that section???

So Gorf on this subject of Jag vs PSX I was wondering about specific games. For exampleI was wondering if the Jag would've been able to do games such as Final Fantasy VII and FVIII as well as polygon heavy games like tomb raider as well as the PSX did them

The only way to answer that is to do a game-for-game comparison. Unfortunately, there aren't too many that appeared on both. Let's start with the list:

Tempest 2000 - (Tempest X on PS)

Now: Which game looks better on which system?

Most of those games are so close they could be considered even, except for some minor advantages that the PSX CD versions have over the memory limited Jaguar cartridges. Even 3Dish games like Doom are nearly identical in most respects, except for area where they once again cut some corners merely due to the memory constraints faced with the cartridge format instead of CD, like lack of ingame music and some of the enemy characters/bosses.

 

Of those games the only one I see that looks better oin PSX is Prmal rage but thats only because the sprites are bigger then in the Jag version, otherwsie they are both the same.

Something I've always wondered because the architexture for the Jag looked very powerful and it was only cause it was hard to program fo did the many games look bad. So I was wondering, could the Jaguar have produced games on the same graphical level as the Playstation?

Yeah right now the VLM is all I have , though I just ordered Blue Lightening (say what you want I thinks its a good game) Battlemorph and am currently looking for Primal rage (the main reason I bought the CD unit in the first place lol)

So I just got my Jag CD unit today, it powers on fine but when I insert an audio cd it give a blinking question mark, what is rong with it!? AHHHHHHHHHH WHY THIS HAVE TO HAPPEN TO ME!

I've read that AvP2 was announced for JagCD, but I don't know how far along it ever got.

 

 

Man that would've beens awesome, makes me wonder about all the new features it would've had (I can imagine it being the first game to support the voice modem).
