  1. anyone have a source of these? my last xl/xe powersupply failed, it was one of the potted ones, so i cut the cord off and hooked it to a good quality 2.2A 5v switching powersupply. i want to make some backup supplies but will need plugs.
  2. mylar keyboards are by design flawed and prone to failure. there is a reason the ibm keyboards used a heavy duty mechanical switch, they last just about forever unless exposed to a corrosive atmosphere. some of the non mechanical switch keyboards use a mylar film with traces and pads on them and use a conductive contact on a foam pad on the bottom of the key, all of the foams will break down eventually. some of them turn into this nasty tar like substance that is a pain to clean off.
  3. i have some and am completeing them currently. my site got hacked and the disk image went poof. made a new disk and will be imaging it. and am shipping one tomorrow
  4. nope cp/m runs inside the disk drive. the buffering speeds up disk access. it is a plug in board.
  5. dunno if anyone answered you in pm, but trub's tool that rewrites the boot sectors on the cp/m disks will also test for the ram board.
  6. A ram upgrade for indus gt, it allows super syncromesh track buffering and cp/m to run on the indus drive.
  7. sigh. finally able to start getting back to thinks i like... not the way i'd ike to, one of the ill family members i've been taking care of passed in march.

  8. Ressurecting an old topic... Prices are as follows: Completed and tested SRAMCharger: $25.00 Plus shipping. USPS priority mail flat rate in USA,with insurance and delivery conf. $ 5.800 USPS Priority Mail flat rate intnl, W/ customs frm: $ 24.75
  9. This is it! The only parts fairly well commented are the SIO routines... I presume that this is the modified version? do you have the pre-modified source?
  10. it came back here today, there is a stamp for warsaw on it and a tychy postmark.
  11. immune system has been a little whacked since i got surplussed from my last job... probably has something to do with the depression. having a 5 yr old that we watch while her mom goes to school and works doesn't help either Stuff that makes little kids sniffle or have a slight upset tummy can lay an adult out for weeks Howdy! Hope you are doing better, especially on the "morale" front. For whatever it's worth, I did want to THANK YOU for your tiny board... I decided to take a very close look at its pin-out/connectors, and it turns out that what I was reading from it had little to do with its actual (and correct) installation. It is now properly installed (with replacement screw, and without blowing the original thread on the IndusGT's mounting rail). It's sits perfectly vertically, and with minimal-or-no pressure on the bottom pin-header or the upper cable-connectors on the analog board. Your supplied disk worked like a CHARM, it tested the board OK., and after some patient setup, I was able to fully boot CP/M and have now created the necessary floppies. This addition pretty much completes and seals my IndusGT-restore project, and now brings them to their FULL potential (clearly the best overall drive made for the Atari, after all said-and-done). Two computer systems in one (CP/M and Atari). Also, I have to say that I was F-IMPRESSED when loading Super Synchromesh WITH the RamCharger... It's funny to see stuff being loaded, much, much faster, and without EVER reading the magnetic surface of the floppy... :-) THANKS! F. I'm glad that you got it in there and tried it out, I do like my indus drives with the sramchrger installed

  13. BTW the test disk was formatted and written on my indus drive, it reads on the 1050 and my other indus drive, it has sparta 3.2g and cpmtool.com on it.
  14. sorry for the disappearing act, have been going out on lots of remote job interviews. I have several of the boards completed and tested, I was away from atariage for a few months... am back now. Hello! Could you please, send me your shipping tracking#? Thanks! I wanted to let the 4 of y'all that are waiting for the boards, they should be going out tomorrow, I was not as recovered as i thought I was, and my partner has been taking care of me the last week-ish. she is going out today (friday) to run errands and the boards should all ship and I can get y'all the tracking numbers. Thanks. I would appreciate if you could, please, ship my unit TODAY and send me Tracking # via Personal Message. Best regards, and hope all is well, F. it shipped, all 4 of y'alls packages went out. I'm doing better, managed to avoid the hospital...

  18. Did the Eagle files ever get posted anywhere? Maybe one of us can just order a new run of boards instead of waiting around. v the boards were created using KiCAD.

  20. Didn't get it off ebay, but through some horsetrading.... finally got an ATR8000, need to get CP/M disks for it, and also bring it up, it's been stored for 10+ years... and not atari but just as cool, from the same guy, a pair of Kaypro 10's with Uniform on them
  21. how old is it? how much use has it seen? since all 360's will eventually RROD from heat expansion and contraction of the non lead solder
  22. Might be interested, especially if there were some updates to the design
  23. According to the datasheet, the RTC72421 has an internal oscillator. also, to simplify the battery section, you can do it with one chip, rather than all the other componants. using a DS1210 that is... IMO the 1210 is the better (and safer) way to go.
  24. The larger computer manufacturers got around the tariffs in fairly simple ways, the tariff was on ram chips, not electronic assemblies. some of the manufacturers had companies in japan, china, and hong kong make PCBs, and either socket them and stuff them with DRAM chips, or solder DRAM chips directly to the boards, and the assemblies were shipped to the USA and the manufacturers pulled the DRAMS from the sockets or desoldered the DRAM from the boards and had them inserted into their products. My sister was running a computer store at the time and got a good deal on excess boards from HP and Micron(I think the other was) I spent a lot of time with a solder sucker and desoldering chips that she had installed into computers
