  1. Its an investment. As time goes on all the old tyme items like this should increase in value so in the end you did okay. Well this is the defense I use with my wife when I buy more Atari Items on e-bay.
  2. The subject line scared me. Thought we had lost you for good. Yours is one of the best Atari 8 Bit sites around!
  3. Just wanted to share this archive of Atari ST pictures in their original format (Spectrum 512, Neo, Degas). These are all from a request thread I submitted over at the Atari-Forum. I uploaded them to Rapidshare since I have a Premium account that should insure the archive will be there for long term downloading. Atari ST Pictures in Original Formats
  4. Part of it is Summer Time as well. A lot of folks who would be considered casual sellers are outdoors and not in front of the computer as much. It happens every summer. (As for me I will stay huddled inside with my Atari 800XL and Mega ST until that shiny orb in the sky goes away behind the comforting grey clouds of fall and winter)
  5. I got Antic Magazine 1988 Complete Year set http://cgi.ebay.com/VINTAGE-ANTIC-MAGAZINE...1QQcmdZViewItem
  6. Was going to bid on a MINER 2049'er cartridge I saw on e-bay but the seller indicated that it will not work on the XL series of systems however when I consulted the list found here : http://www.homecomputer.de/lists/Atari_800...=V4.1=Carts.txt it does not indicate that it's incompatible with my 800XL. Anyone know if it's compatible or not? Thank you
  7. If he flakes out on you I can recommend Atarimax as a good e-bay seller. He had my SIO2PC interface to me 4 days after the auction ended.
  8. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...E:IT&ih=013 Original Game disk and Manual. I have tested it to make sure it works. From what I found on Atari Mania this is a harder to find title.
  9. The emulator looks nice but I would agree the user interface needs some work. I use Atari Win 800 + and one thing I can do with that is drag and drop image files right into the emulator window. This would be a handy feature to have in this emulator.
  10. Some of us have not been brung back but have been using the A8 Bit's all along..
  11. I have collected all the Chris Crawford Games I can find (Legionare, Easter Front 1942, Balance of Power (Both Versions for Multiple Platforms). I am also trying to complete my SSI and Avalon Hill collections but that is a longer term collecting goal as they can be spendy now)
  12. I agree as well.. Great project to take on and share with the Atari community. Can't wait to play this!
  13. Sorry about that. I will see if I can get this working. I'll try to post back tomorrow after work. Stephen Anderson Hi Stephen just wanted to see if you had any luck with this? Thank you
  14. My goal is to mount images stored on my PC from the Atari 800Xl. I can mount an image into APE like normal in Windows XP with no problems but I want to be able to browse and mount my disk images stored on my Windows System from the Atari System side not Windows side. Thanks for the replies!
  15. I am using APE with SIO2PC cable which is working great but I want to be able to load .ATR disk images from my Atari 800XL. When I load APE for Windows and Load the APE Warp .ATR disk image that comes with APE I run a program called Remote.com on the Atari end. But it will not let me browse directory or load disk images. When use the (L)oad image it asks me if I want to use the find or spider feature. The find feature searches for anything I put in. The Spider feature does nothing when I type anything in. If I use the Mirror feature on APE for Windows and leave it blank on the windows end it works just fine on the Atari side for letting me browse to my directory with raw Binary files and load them. Hope all this makes sense. I really want to be able to use my Atari without having to interact with my Windows System after APE for Windows is loaded. All the links to documentation on the Atarimax web site give a 404 page not found error. I purchased the cable from there and downloaded APE but there was no documentation in the download archive. Thanks!
  16. I plan on having my memory dumped to floppy disks for archiving that way I will never die!!! What could possibly go wrong with my master plan?
  17. I recently purchased the SIO2PC interface from Atarimax. The APE software is shareware and can be used just fine as it is. The registered version gives some nice added functions though. It really eliminates the need for a disk drive at all since it lets your Atari access Atari disk images stored on your PC as though it was an Atari Disk Drive. One of the best purchases for my vintage computer collection I have ever made and the fella at Atarimax is an honorable vendor.
  18. In 1980 my dad bought me a TRS-80 Color Computer with 4K of Ram and a Tape Recorder. Have these memories of staying up late at night listening to Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon album and programming in Coco Basic. Within a month I had added a 300 Baud Acoustic Coupler Modem. I have been online in one form or another ever since.
  19. Here are some links to online manuals that should help get you going. http://www.atariarchives.org/basic/ http://www.atariarchives.org/basicxl/ Check here for more online Atari O/S reference Materials. http://www.atariarchives.org/
  20. Not an e-bay find but a thrift store find this week a Wico Command Control trackball in original box with manual in near new condition for $5.00. Fired it up on Millipede and it really works great.
  21. Thank you for the disk images. Any new software for the collection is welcome. I saw a Parrot on e-bay recently.
