CIB should really be everything it came with when you first opened it... which, for like Songbird games, should include even the stickers and advertisement sheets Carl includes.
Sometimes the adverts don't fit into the Jaguar game boxes, sometimes if you order multiple titles from a store, you won't get an exact copy of stickers, adverts, etc. for each game to pack with it. So I'd disagree that AA, Songbird, etc. stickers and adverts should be considered for CIB, it's just neat to stick with some of the games you get.

The Jaguar version of Another World is awesome. The one thing that stuck out to me that felt like it made the Jaguar version unique (other than speedy mode) was the color palette. The underground being most noticeable to me with the glow of the green light.

I feel like a lot of the library was pseudo 3D, 2.5D (think on-rail shooters like Nights Into Dreams or Tempest 2K, two vastly different styles), and 2D with 3D elements. From Trevor McFur basically being BJ West's graphic demo disguised as a shooter cart to the pre-rendered backgrounds and set pieces in Highlander on the CD, it's everywhere.
To you point, it wouldn't be hard to churn out pre-rendered stuff. Address the size limitations with a micro SD slapped on a PCB and something like FFVII on the Jaguar becomes possible. ... Built from scratch!

Once I got the GameDrive, I shelved the CD unit since they're not compatible with eachother. I have a few things for JagCD that I can't play right now because of that, but with the way the CD unit is built, it seems awkward to have it sit anywhere that's not on the system or in the box.

All I know about this topic is.. Orion made an interesting looking JRPG that came out on PS1 and not Jaguar, which was a bummer, 'cause that's an absent genre on the Jaguar. Something about transparencies? I think that was why.

Is the rating scale for Jaguar stable enough to know what to recommend for "under-rated"? I feel Cybermorph is a better game than the meme thrashing it gets in the retro gaming community. A game I enjoy playing once in a while that doesn't get mentioned often is Ruiner Pinball, it's exclusive, it plays alright, and I liked it better than Pinball Fantasies in presentation.

Interesting daydreaming topic I guess, though I feel access to Neo Geo titles is easy these days digitally. I like when obscure games, versions or original games hit the Jaguar, so if I were to pick a Neo Geo game? I dunno, it'd probably be something like Nightmare in the Dark.

As it's a game developed for the Jaguar, who's currently got the rights to be releasing this one? I feel like it was available through MyAtari for a while. It's also one of the carts I am currently missing from my collection.
-
What's in the slot? GameDrive. Though the system sits on a drawer of carts, aftermarket releases and homebrews that don't feel right to have ripped to the GD.
Where's the JagCD? In a box, stored away.

I voted for Simone.

The key is to split into so many subcatagories that there are more branches than voters.

May I ask if you ever looked at the AtariST version of Arachnophobia, CJ? I know it sounded like it might've interested you a while back when news was released of it being discovered / dumped, but unsure it ever crossed your mind after that point.

I remember in magazines like GamePro, etc back in the day when Castlevania: Symphony of the Night came out, the outlook on 2D over 3D was that 2D was old and done and 3D was modern gaming. Symphony of the Night had rekindled people's interest (on consoles anyhow) and started that debate whether 2D could still be successful in modern gaming. Obviously we know now that both can exist fine, but in that Jaguar / 3DO / PS1 era, 2D wasn't giving people that same 'wow' factor that new 3D gaming was, even if early 3D gaming didn't age well at all.
Having said that, I love seeing stuff like this show up for Jaguar, and will definitely support it as long as I have my black n' red kitty machine. I think it looks awesome!

Hey guys!
Been a little bit since I have posted, but had a scare with my Neo Geo AES last night. Was playing through Ghost Pilots and getting static feedback in the music / SFX, thought it may need recapping or a reflow on the cart connector. Put a bit more time into it tonight, played Magician Lord and beat Cyber-Lip, not a single issue. Must've had some kinda debris in the cart slot or somethin', thankfully the AES is still goin' strong for now though!
Hopefully all's going well for everyone, and of course, thank you Anthony for keeping the Neo Geo thread alive for us all to check in on.- 3

This looks like Fatal Labyrinth / Dragon Crystal, nice. Glad to see games like these being considered for Jaguar.

Flappy McFur, you're one year off the mark for being included, but I still love you.

Thank you so much for a project like this, I however would like to be opted out from the list as I'm cutting back on collecting for my Jag. I hope things come together well for you in the coming year!

Is there a link or info I can check out regarding the one released for DC? Would be cools to see, and apologies my assumption was incorrect.

Assuming the same title as this one released on Commodore 64? That's pretty cools, best of luck bringin' it on over to the Jag.

I wanted to get a white Jaguar shell and commission an artist to church it up all fancy, I thought that'd be really neat, like character art on it or something.

Recently thought about this again, would just like to say I'm still looking forward to Wyvern Tales 2 being released on the Jaguar. 🤘
