  1. Had to look this up since I thought Mr. Do! was a Coleco release. Sure enough CBS released Mr. Do! in the UK. I learn something new everyday. Thanks Voxel!
  2. Wizard of Wor get's my pick for favorite CBS game. Tunnel Runner in second place and Blueprint in third place for me
  3. Super Football - a late release by Atari that is really impressive. The game incorporates punts, kickoffs and field goals that are usually left out of football games from this era. Compared to other football games on the Atari this one wins in the graphics department. You will need the manual to keep track of all the different plays and plan to pass it back and forth with the second player. Frankenstein's Monster - a great game from Data Age who are sadly more well known for releasing stinkers. If you enjoy Pitfall! I recommend tracking this one down. This game contains one of the coolest Game Over screens and the horror theme is always a welcome addition to any collection. Might make a good double-feature night pairing with Haunted House Moonsweeper - Imagic made quite a few great games for the Atari and this one typically gets overlooked (Atlantis and Demon Attack were huge sellers back in the day after all). Pseudo 3-d graphics and intense shooting action make this one a winner. I give this one bonus points for the game-over ditty of Swing Low Sweet Chariot. Classy Fast Eddie - Fox published some interesting titles and for reasons I can't explain I've spent the most time playing this one. It's just fun. Grab a friend and see who can get the highest score.
  4. 3DO Interactive Multiplayer get's my vote. Upon it's release it was touted as the biggest and best, but the high price point (i think it was like 700 bucks if I remember correctly) meant that the spoiled kid down the street was the only kid in the neighborhood that actually had one. I never really felt that the games released for the system justified buying the console. I was perfectly happy playing Sega Genesis with the rest of the gang
  5. Yeah, pretty close to that time frame. Pete managed the Reds in '88 and '89. The betting investigation wrapped up in the summer of '89. Pete's betting = bad. Pete's batting = great.
  6. I can handle the name change, and taking Pete Rose rose off the cover art (licensing reasons I'm sure)..but replacing him with a generic St. Louis Cardinal can't be justified in my Ohio heart.

  9. thought i'd take a crack at it even though i'm not a pixel artist. Since I'm not a pixel artist I wasn't sure if the pixels needed to be doublewide or not but tried to keep it in the 16x16 limit. Fun!

  12. Alright dudes. dare to dream with me a second. I can't get over Flojomojo's idea of the AtariAge community banding together to purchase the Atari brand and IP a putting Albert in charge of it. Albert has a serious passion for the community as a whole, and works hard to support the homebrew community etc. AtariAge publishes more quality titles than the current rendition of Atari does right? Pretty sure with the programming and hardware talent that post regularly here there is enough of a core group to really put together a solid team to make something epic. Someone way smarter than me can hopeful answer the following questions: What would it take financially to make such a purchase? and in a true bout of irony..Could we put together a indiegogo to raise the funds to make this happen?
  13. patience. I need more of it, and I need it right now! hurry up already!

  15. I liked M-Network games up until I played their port of Burgertime on the 2600. What a turd. It was one of the few times I had to concede to my cousins that maybe..just maybe...their Intellivision was better than my Atari 2600.
  16. a few things I've learned so far watching the ongoing AtariVCS discussion: people love tacos as much as I do the Register is an awesome read The Register recently posted mp3 clips of their talk with Michael Artz in response to being called trolls on the Atari Facebook page. Epic https://www.theregister.co.uk/2018/06/21/atari_interview_in_full/
  17. I enjoy playing Dark Chambers, especially two player. Sadly I don't read too many reviews that are favorable to this game. I have a lot of good memories playing this two player with friends and family members. Throw on some music, turn on Dark Chambers, and enjoy a few hours of conversation. Strangely relaxing. Highly recommended!
  18. Hyperkin dudes, Thank you for building this thing. I will be buying one once it is available. Stay Rad, -random guy on the internet
  19. saw your pic you put up on Instagram of Fatal Run. Sounds like a solid title! Is it worth the price though? seems to run a bit on the higher end on Ebay
  20. looks awesome! What's the price range you are looking to sell these for?
  21. so this "brotherhood", how does one become a member? Do new recruits get beat into the gang? beat-ins...hazing...the tough stuff. The 7800 brotherhood isn't for the weak right? so many questions...
  22. I don't have a clue when it comes to voltage, soldering etc. But I really want to have the power LED in my 7800 changed out. What I would like is a "Rainbow" LED that would slowly cycle through the colors, and kinda go along with the lines featured on the 7800 console and start up screen. Anyone know if something like this would work? http://www.411techsystems.com/Rainbow-Flashing-5mm-LED_p_40.html
  23. Heading out to go to CORGS! Can't wait. see you there!
