  3. I might have some extra money laying around, I just hate to pay more for a copy than I did for the original. LOL! All joking aside I played the game a lot this past week and do sort of miss not being able to play it.
  4. Any chance I can get a complimentary cartridge, I miss playing the game...lol!
  5. I can assure you my private offers were serious offers and from people on the list of respected members I was given when this all started.
  6. Well, my auction ends in about 3 hours and it's been a wild 5 year ride! I set my reserve a little lower than my highest private offer so I don't think I am being greedy, just putting a little insurance on it. My reserve is very close and I'll make a bet with anybody that the other cart's reserve is about $6323 away from being met!
  7. The reserve is nowhere near that and at the current bid ($5001) it is very reachable!
  8. I have just started the auction for my Red Sea Crossing Atari 2600 on Gamegavel. http://www.gamegavel...item=0000666667
  9. The auction is now live on Gamegavel.com. Here is the link http://www.gamegavel.com/item.cgi?show_item=0000666667
  10. If you don't do anything for about a minute it gives a warning sound and then you die shortly after that. The video I made is of the simpler screens to get through, right after the one where I died it gets much more difficult. It starts adding a combination of things to avoid.
  11. Hre is the link to the story Mike from Gamegavel wrote about it. http://www.gamegavel.com/reviews/2012/08/28/red-sea-crossing-the-holy-grail-of-holy-grails/
  12. Here's a longer video of me playing Red Sea Crossing, posted on my son's Youtube account (I don't have one.) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V3mgUklWcD8
  13. I've been talking with Mike from Gamegavel.com and I plan on having Red Sea up for auction on his sight by tomorrow.
  14. I thought you said you were a gambler?? If you are scared of being scammed on ebay, then maybe it is not the best method for you. I'd say you'll likely get the highest price through ebay, but it may be better to take a slightly lower price and have the piece of mind that you wont lose the cart and the dough. You dont need the money right? So taking a slighly lower price should appeal to you. I cant see why someone couldnt buy the cart on ebay, claim it doesnt work, file a claim through paypal and send you back an ET cart with a photocopied RSC label and I dont know what you could do about it. I personally dont sell much on ebay and I'm not a scammer so i dont know how that scenario would pan out through paypal. I know a few sellers who swear by auction style sales here. Personally, I dont really like them as I see the guys I deal with here as friends and I dont want to screw them out of every last penny. i prefer to set a price I feel is reasonable (not the highest and not the lowest) and offer the item at that price. I may let myself be haggled down a bit too in some cases. If it sells, it sells, if not then no biggie. Its how real men do it As you do not really have any affiliations with members here and are not part of the "family", you probably wouldnt have a problem it this type of sale. Ok, very good points. How do you do an auction style listing on this site?
  15. I do understand your point. However I am leary of selling such an expensive item on Ebay if I can avoid it. I have sold on there for 10 years with over 50,000 transactions and I know there is absolutely no seller protection. The buyer is always right and I have been scammed a number of times. I guess the ideal transaction would be in person where the buyer could check out the cart, play it and so forth and then I don't have to worry about the number of things that can go wrong after the sale. I was always planning on using Ebay (obviously the best auction site for exposure) but when I cancelled the auction waiting to see about this other cart another member suggested an auction on here so I thought i would try to get some insight.
  16. Alright I guess enough info has come to light on the other cart and after weighing the huge mound of advice I have recieved with what to do I want to proceed with the sale of my cart. I am thinking it might be best to do an auction style on this site instead of Ebay. Can I get some serious advice or thoughts on this. I have no experience selling anyhting on this site so I don't know if that is possible or even the best way to sell it? I figure if I sell it here I am at least dealing with people who have a reputation where on Ebay I have a better chance of dealing with scammers.
  17. Congratulatons on the find! What horrible timing for me but we should both do well! I wanted an amazing end to my story and I guess it couldn't get any more amazing than this!
  18. I wouldn't beat myself up over it if I were you. Even if its lost value, its stick a HECK of a valueable cart that you will get some amazing offers for, so look at the bright side of things (and don't play it too much, you may blow a circuit) With my recent luck blowing a circuit may just happen. Trust me, I am not going to lose any sleep over this. As far as the offers you are right, I can't believe the number of people that have made offers since the other news hit the boards. That is the part that is really confusing. I have had an offer here in there in the past but now that there may be a second one it seems like there is a mad rush to get me to sell. That seems very strange to me. If anybody can explain this to me I would be greatful.
  19. I just set a new personal high score on Red Sea Crossing, I haven't played it in 3 years! I figured if this other cart is real I better get some of my lost value out by playing it... I may have to play this for 1 month straight! LOL!! DISCLAIMER: For anybody who thinks I am being what ShawnSr so kindly said I was by posting this, let me just state upfront that I am just joking around and having a sense of humor about the whole thing!
  20. Why postpone the auction? Oh and your a real cocksucker for wishing his cart doesn't work. If you where not such a prick about the cart for years this new found cart would be of little concern to you. Face it, you fucked up by not selling it previously and now it's coming back to bite you in the ass cause another has been found and it's in better condition than yours. Well excuse me for trying to have a sense of humor about it! If this other cart turns out to be legit all I can do is laugh at what unfathomable timing it was! I guess you didn't read my other post where I congratulated him on his find! Whoever wants to think I am devasted by this turn of events be my guest. I was never desperate to sell (OBVIOUSLY) and if this other cart is legit then I gambled and lost....NO BIG DEAL, the cart will still be valuable! That is the part of life that is fun for me, I have said before I am a gambler and money isn't everything! I really don't care if the other one is legit and works! I hope everyone treats him better than I have been treated, if he isn't he may crawl in a hole too. I think your comment shows who the real " " is!
  21. Why would that matter? Wouldn't that at least establish some kind of price for the second one? With that reasoning why would anybody buy the first knowing the second one would sell for less?
  22. I will have to postpone the planned auction due to the new development and wait and see if this other cart is legit. If it is hopefully it doesn't work LOL!
  23. I just spent a few minutes looking at the image of your cart on Atarimania, and those aren't shadows. That's where the ink got mis-aligned. That offset is everywhere in the image. Looks like a real bad print job. The other cart seems to have a better printed label. I made some arrows pointing to some of the mis-alignment I see. I can see what you are saying but why would there be no mis-alignment on the white images? If this copy turns out ot be legit what another amzing twist! Nobody knew it existed for 24 years until I find it and then I wait 5 years and announce an auction date and then 3 days before the auction one surfaces....AMAZING! I will just have to laugh if it does turn out legit, life is full of twists and turns. I guess I will have to cancel the planned auction to wait and see about this other cart. I have posted video of mine being played I would like to see a video of his. If his is legit let me be the first to congratulate him! It will still be a very rare cart and still worth something.
  24. What kind of differences? My cart has shadows to the left of every red image on the cart. The clam, fish, whale, arrow etc. I don't see any shadows on the pic that was posted.
