  1. OK, someone told me today, that some Atari 800's had a faster math chip in them, and the Atari 800's that had this chip had a small sticker on the computer case just below the keyboard that read "DOM". They also had the same stick on the back of the right cartridge slot. I have seen the sticker, but I have never heard of this chip, that's why I was asking. Does anyone know if this is correct?
  2. I have seen on some Atari 800 Computers and sticker that says "DOM" on it. Can anyone tell me what this means? I can't find anything about it.
  3. Thank-you for your help, everything is working. I was using the wrong e-mail to contact you.
  4. Last Christmas I got APE for windows, I recently have had time to install it and can't figure out how to register it. Everytime I click on the "register APE" button, it takes me to the check-out page asking for credit card info. Has anybody else had this problem, and if so how did you register your version. I have sent e-mails to the author, but he hasn't returned them.
  5. I just listed this and some other games on ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...&category=21181

  7. I also have a 6-switch console that is a heavy sixer, and it also has a space in the bottom of it for a channel selet switch, but there isn't one. When I opened the console, it doesn't even look like one was ever put there. I checked in case it broke off. I also have one that is completly covered, so their is no way to select a channel. It automatically comes on channel 3.
  8. I was going through my Atari collection when I found an Atari 2600 Jr with a label from Irland on it. Everything about the system is the same as the ones released in America, except the serial label. It says "Manufactured for Atari, INC., By Atari Ireland, LTD., in Ireland. Model no. cx-2600 Covered by U.S. patent number 4,112,422 other patents, and patents pending. S.N.#304 A1 0031015. All the others I have say "made in Taiwan" on the serial label and stamped on the case. I don't know if someone took the botton case and put it on a Taiwan unit, or if or if this is how it was made, because I thought the Ireland 2600's had a black rainbow bar, not a silver one. Most likely the botton was switched, but I wanted to see what you thought.
  9. My favorite system is the original Atari 800 with an 810 Disk Drive, 825 Printer, and 830 modem. This is the system I grew up with, and still have 21 years later. But, between the Atari 1400xl and 1450xld, which is the rarer computer and which one is better? Rick
  10. Does anyone know what the Smart Terminal cartridge for the 800 xl and 130 ex was used for?
  11. Can someone tell me the difference between an SIO2PC cable and a 10502PC cable? I thought an SIO2PC cable is what you needed to hook up an Atari Disk Drive to a PC. I never heard of a 10502PC cable before tonight. Now I don't know what one to get. I went to the APE site but I don't see them on there. Where can I get one and how much do they usually cost? Thanks, Rick
  12. On a scale of 1 to 10 (like on Cart Commander) how do you tell what condition your cart is in, and is 10 the best or worst condition?
  13. Hi, I am trying to figure out a way to connect two Atari computers to the same set of drives without having to unplug everything when I want to change them. I always have an Atari 800 (my favorate model) hooked up, but with it's low memory, sometimes I have to hook up an Atari 130xe with extended memory to run later programs. I don't think a split I/O cable was ever made, because I have never seen one. I tried e-mailing CSS to find out if the Quintopus would do this for me, but I haven't heard anything from them, are they still in business? Any help would be great.

    WOW LOOK

I wanted to follow up on my post last night about my friend who had his ebay idenity stolen. He told me was using his email address as his password, so someone was going through trying to log in other peoples ID's using this pattern until he found someone. Once he got in, he changed the password so my friend couldn't get access to his own account. All he could do was wait, and try to get in touch with a person at ebay, which isn't an easy task. I was wrong about his paypal account, that wasn't stolen. Pretty scarry when you think about it. So it's not just hotmail, it can be any email service.

    WOW LOOK

I have a friend who sells items on ebay. He had over 400 positive feedbacks and someone stole his ebay and paypal idenity. This person started putting up fake computer auctions with low buy it now prices ($1800.00 computers for $1000.00 BIN). After he was finially able to contact ebay it took almost 3 weeks for the idenity to be closed. From what he said it's easy to do if your a seller with a hotmail account. Just thought I'd pass this along.
