  1. I am waiting for TRU's B2G1F this Sunday to see if there are 2 other games I want to pick up TOB.
  2. I know this is free, but it still sucks. I actually liked some of the Burger King games in terms of advertisgames.
  3. Well XBL will be around far longer than anyone's interest in H3's MP.... so I am not sure if that's a valid argument.
  4. Nothing wrong with what you want. But perhaps you misunderstood what I am trying to say. For RPGs, I would be angry if the game is less than 20 hours long (actually, that's pretty short, I think it should be at least 30 hours of solid gameplay). For shooters though, I don't need a super long experience. Like shmups, 6-10 stages would be sufficient. Right? Same thing with FPS for me. You can only do so much in a FPS, and even the fantastic Bioshock got alittle too long in the tooth toward the end (about a 20 hour game if you take your time and check everything, like you are supposed to). So an intense 10 hour experience for Halo is pretty good. Plus, the real longevity lies in the multiplayer aspect of the game. You can't just ignore that and say the game doesn't deliver. Bungie spent alot of time on the MP aspect of the game, and most people play that without even touching the campaign. If you don't play it, you really are only playing half a game.
  5. I thought it was the right length. I agree with you on the repetition, but it is nowhere near as bad as 1 (the Library). I think Level 2 was the worst when you have to keep back tracking over and over and over, at least 3 times (maybe 4). So in short, there is a fair amount of repetition but not as bad as 1 (can't remember 2 now, I didn't really like 2). I don't think it needs to be too long for a FPS. I think on Legendary, it will take over 10 hours to finish by yourself, that's plenty long IMO.
  6. I got the plain jane version. It is a fun game but the online matches are starting to irk me b/c people care more about winning (and trash talking) than having fun. Might sell it while it is still worth something.
  7. I thought the campaign is alot better than H1 or H2. Better vehicles sections, great fights with Scarab, and more varied weapons. By and large the game is very solid but I hated the last 2 levels of the games with the Flood. The Flood levels suck.
  8. Thanks for the update and your (and Midway's) valiant effort in trying to do this right. Too bad it didn't work out for us Jag fans but it is what it is.
  9. I finished it a few months ago, and I enjoyed it alot. It is a by-the-numbers JRPG, and I thought the banters between the characters were pretty funny. Nothing mindblowing, not too long (or short), it was a good game.
  10. I play mostly cube games on my Wii, so yah, it is kinda silly to buy a Wii until Mario Galaxy (for me anyway, as I have no desire to play Corruption).
  11. Just pulled an all nighter with 2 other people to finish this on Legendary. I must say, the first 4 levels were great, but it gets worse and worse and the last 2 level is just complete crap. I won't be playing the campaign again. But the multiplayer is alot of fun. So I will keep it just for that alone.
  12. No character creation mode. The is like close to 80 character in the game tho. Like 48 from DW and 28 from SW or something like that. Also seems to me that I saw there was 3 way tag team, I'm guessing this means that you can pick 3 characters to send into battle and switch between them. In other non-Halo news. I finished Eternal Sonata. It's an amazing turn-based RPG. It's weaknesses are what all TBRPGs suffer from, repetitive battles and sometime extremely long cut-scenes. (These can be skipped) In order for a person to get 100% achievements, the game must be played twice since certain items and area's aren't available until the second play through. Also the enemies are tougher the second time through. Looks like I'll be playing ES for a bit more. How long is ES? I wouldn't mind playing it once, but twice I dunno.
  13. Thats kind of what I was doing, altho I'll admit I didnt have the chaingun powered up at all, and wasnt even really using it. I guess I'll start over and power that up and see if it goes easier. Chaingun is the most powerful gun in the game, you don't have to restart, you can just keep replaying a particular level to build up your points to upgrade the CG. It is awesome, only drawback is the long reload animation, which you can remedy by jumping immediately after reload.
  14. Do you have any strategies for taking on the last boss? Seriously everytime I play I get killed even on Normal. Yup, he is actually super hard when I first play him on EASY. Why? Because I didn't have the chain gun. Power up the chain up, that's ALL YOU EVER NEED. Here is what I do: Battle begins, he got the shield on. Wait for the shield to break, then just shoot him (you can aim for the left shoulder but it really doesn't matter). His shield might come back on. Wait until you can hurt him, just keep shooting him. Don't bother with magic. Shoot the ghost things that comes out. Eventually, he will run to the other side and shoots fireball. Dodge those as you close the distance, at this point, continue to shoot him. After awhile, your conscience will tell you to kill the snakes. Just shoot his shoulder. I don't think it really matters where you shoot him, you are hurting him anyway. But just to be sure, shooting the shoulder seems to work fine. After you kill the snakes, continue shooting him. When he is ready to die, he will be kneeling down in one end of the stage. At this point, bring on the meteor magic. Just make sure you don't get hurt by the meteors or debris, you can just keep jumping away because the meteors should take care of him. So in short, shoot, shoot, shoot until he kneel, then summon meteor and jump away. Easy as pie.
  15. I love BW, and your description is spot on. Did you get all the costumes? I really like the school girl outfit hehe. I did beat it 5 times on all difficulties. The game actually gets easier because she gets more powerful and you know what to expect.
  16. Oddworld is awesome, that's a steal at $6.
  17. I would compare 99Nights with Dynasty Warriors, they are basically the same game. If you have played DW, then it is EXACTLY what you are getting minus a few minor changes. UL is more of a hack n' slash RPG but you still have to be somewhat careful about running into a large group of enemies. 99N, the larger the crowd, the faster you should dive in.
  18. I loved Bullet Witch. Admitted, it is a sucky game (clipping, pop up, control is kinda stiff) but the hot girl + shooting everything made it fun for me. Finished it 5 times too for all the achievements. Just finished Bioshock on Hard, great game but no desire to ever play it again. So it is now in Marketplace looking for another owner. Getting H3 (shhhh) this week, but playing the Outfit (not too bad) and Ninety Nine Nights (very repetitive, but whatever).
  19. *****SOLD TO JESS****** Great condition, $40 + a few bucks shipping.
  20. That is totally the opposite reaction I had when I play this game. It's a friggin struggle for me to stay interested.. I don't know if it's because I'm so tired of FPS's or what, but this game is a huge ass bore. I'm still trying to play it though.... killed a number of Big Brothers, etc. But really, I dont know why everyone digs this game. To me it's just more bullshit I love the background story and the atmosphere/environment of this game. But I restarted the game about 2/3rd of the way through on Hard and now I am bored to tears. LOL, I am experiencing both awesomeness and boredom.
  21. And you know there are. A month or two ago at a Best Buy, I overheard some kid telling his mom that he wanted the EIGHTY GIG VERSION. When 60 gig versions with the Emotion Engine chipset were still sitting on the shelf. Stupid kid. Kids don't know anything. Hehe.
  22. I love this game, as I only played through the demo (I do have the NGBlack for the original Xbox).
  23. Just a few games, all prices include shipping within USA. All games are complete and in great condition. Valkyrie Profile 2 (sealed) $23 Devil May Cry 3 SE (sealed) $13 Winning Eleven 7 $7 Virtual-On Marz $9 Killer 7 (Sealed) $9 -- I am mainly looking for PS3/360 games FT.
  24. XBLA contents are tied to BOTH your gamertag and your console.
