Popeye (1980) was a really strange movie, surreal even. Am I off base, any big fans on AA?

I got a robot vacuum from Amazon for a good price and took it for a test run last night. It works very good!!

finally saw Ghostbusters: Afterlife... I can finally erase that crappy Ghostbusters 2 from my memory.

I am at the gym, lifting weights to build strength and burn calories...and ESPN has the nerve to run footage of the Coney Island hot dog eating contest?!

RoboCop is one of those series where you can pretty much just ignore the sequels and pretend it wasn't a series, and it's excellent.

Yet another tornado has struck. We lost several trees and power lines are obliterated. It will likely be a few days (at least) before power is restored.

Whelp, I beat Simon's Quest. I needed a walkthrough(I'd like to see someone beat it without one) but all in all, I have to say it's not a bad game. I enjoyed playing it.

I purchased this a week or two before Xmas in '88. My friends and I finally beat the game over Xmas school break soon after. The only spot we had trouble with was the red crystal (?) and resulting tornado. We actually called a Nintendo tip line for that one. Apparently that certain clue was somehow lost in translation over here. My biggest complaint is the boss guardians or lack thereof - wish there was one for each Dracula bodypart. Probably also throw in the final encounter with Dracula was way too easy.

My mom passed away this morning. She was not only my mom, but a friend.

Had to put my cat down this morning. He was only 5 but had an autoimmune disease that was untreatable. Goodbye, little friend - see you on the other side. ?

My sister passed away late last night or early today. They are doing an autopsy.
She would have been 50 on August 1.

God I really hope Dracula Hunter gets found by this year, that game's probably the holy grail of Japanese arcade games at the moment.

Today is the 35th anniversary of "The Terminator," which debuted in the USA on Friday, October 26, 1984.

Just watched the original Boogeyman... so bad, it's kinda okay. lol Loved the synth music though.

I mentioned a few prominent movie anniversaries recently, so here's another: "Star Trek III: The Search for Spock", which premiered 35 years ago this Saturday, on June 1, 1984. A good, solid, underappreciated Trek movie.

The original "Star Wars" opened in US theaters 42 years ago today, on May 25, 1977. Also, the original "Alien" was released (on a limited basis) on the same date 40 years ago today: May 25, 1979.

Anyhoo, I even I, thought and think that the first Star Trek movie was great! I almost like it better than the first Star Wars!

Going to Red Lobster for dinner this evening. I might order something expensive.

55 hour work week for the forseeable future. Ugh. At least the overtime checks are gonna be sweet!

Why do sports talk radio shows do a show in a bar? Who wants to hear all that background noise of people talking?

Just learned that ASMR is a thing. What a strange world and times we are living in.
