  1. geez, my old posts were TERRIBLE! I never even told you guys what they did; after using them on my GC constantly, I guess it sensed that they were 3rd party unlicensed products, and it wouldn't get past the startup screen. plug in a normal GC controller, and viola! it worked fine quite the conundrum really, but with the exorcism of mad catz, my GC still serves me faithfully! :D

  2. Since I have been such a piss-ant in my past topics, I will create a new topic instead of bumping the old one to avoid any further embarrassment, also, the question could have been asked a lot better, so here goes; I would like any assortment of atari-made peripherals for an atari 400. they have to be reasonably complete, and working, and I don't have much to spend. :)

  3. Funny you should mention that. I have begun work on a leg piece that will be all video game related. Right now, there's only Yoshi reaching for a 1-Up mushroom, but I have lots planned for it. Including an Atari logo near the upper calf, a Commodore C= somewhere up there as well, Pac-Man, Berzerk... all kinds of stuff going to be in there.

Here's what I have so far:

thats great work, the shadowing is fantastic.

I thought that was a bruise!

  4. Update:

All is well, the Atari 2600 works like a charm (on a newer TV) and I'm as happy as a clam. I went to my local Radio Shack and got the proper female to male connector, hooked it up to my little 15 inch TV, and wallah!! The old days are back. Thanks goes out to everyone for their input. The older TV's connection (VHF) did not work properly to generate a picture, so I switched back and found out it's great.

Again, thanks for your help. Now the cartridge hunt can begin in earnest!! :D

    good to hear it!

  5. I found some wierd games at the local goodwill in CO, and was determined to find out what the heck they played on. I found out that it was the atari 2600, and was determined to find one! I kept on ebaying and ebaying and ebaying. I won nothing, then after, like, 2 years we moved here to omaha, and I discovered Gamers. I asked them to reserve one for me, and in the mean time, I did research. when they called me to pick it up I determined that it was an atari 2600 vader! and that is how I got my atari 2600, it took 3 years, but it was well worth it ;)

  6. If yours is bad, could be the fuses...there are fuses inside the adapters, been awhile, but I think the screws to open the case are under the rubber feet...

I really hate configurations like that, the screws to take it apart are under plastic feet that I always completely ruin, that and labels, screws under those are worse

  7. bump!

Dude, seriously, why are you bumping your own thread? It's bad enough that the thread title is completely useless. If you have something new to add, that's one thing, but come on!

    bump!!! hehehe....

  8. ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm... schematic?

Yeah, I know. :ponder: But I don't have the tools to prettify something for you right now. And I'm not about to attempt ascii. The above was a verbal schematic. The only thing missing is "connect pin 14 of the 74hc14 to VCC and connect pin 7 to ground." I think. If you have schematic tools available, try drawing up my suggestions and posting them. That's a great way of catching design errors, btw.

heres a good tool (I use it all the time!) http://www.expresspcb.com/ExpressPCBHtm/Fr...ic_software.htm

Thanks. I actually have schematic capture software. I just didn't have any on the machine I was borrowing. :)

    you're welcome!
