I always thought least significant bit as a "clock count" and the falling edge of the most significant bit to be the "count reset".

History of Mac OS X is not so good with external Joysticks. As I understand there was no official library till very recently. So I am wondering if the emulator has support yet? Sorry not used Atari800Mac for a long while now. They worked very well when I last played with them a few years ago now.

Interesting, Mine are all different to that, and that is about 8 of them. OK then just wire up the two bare wires to live and neutral pins of the mains plug. One to each. The internal transformer won't care. Only issue might be an internal fuse. But plugs are externally fused in the UK anyway. remember 3 Amp fuse should be fine.

Then this is the seconday (9V ac output) cable. DO NOT wire this to the mains!!!!!!

In the input/mains cable you should have two wires; one blue and one brown. The Brown one goes to the Live pin of the plug, this is the one with a inline fuse connected, The Blue cable goes to the Neutral pin of the plug. The top pin (its a longer pin) is for earth connections this isn't used, for this Power unit. ALSO Please make sure you have a low rated fuse in the fuse holder of the plug (3 Amps should be OK). Dont leave the default 13 AMP fuse in.

I have a stock 800 (48K) Picture quality is great and the keyboard is really nice. For storage, most of the SD flash systems, SIO2USB, APE (USB) and 3 1050s Also have a 130XE but the RAM has been removed, and is WiP. For the 800 I want to add extra memory, a MyIDE interface and stereo, life is just getting in the way what really matters

No expert on pureC, but; What do the docs say Logbase() should return, as a type? (EDIT) OK found it and is is type VOIDP, or char* so that should be OK. Also you haven't declared "handle", Line 5 or work_out in line 8 How do you define the functions you are using, open_vwork(), Getrez(), Logbase()? I don't see any "#include" statements also "#include <stdio.h>" is missing Maybe post the full error output.

Ok that's what I was worried about. BTW, for those that won't have this stacking problem. Could you elaborate on the firmware; Will you be able to define keyboard macros? Or which keys do what, (select, start, reset..)? does it support the extra 1200XL "F" keys? (I can see it being useful to these owners) Also how will it handle none US keyboards?

Will this board work with a stereo upgrade? Such as the ones Lotharek sells.

But steve is still playing with the code, as he said in his mail. And the source to the original S-C assembler for apple is available on line. (although any licence is not obvious ) I just wonder about the rights issue: because Synapse was acquired by Brøderbund, then they re-spelt their name and were split and in turn acquired.

So if we can find someone with a ROM copy, then maybe we can get Steve's permission to get a distributable copy.
