  1. I own real, legit purchased copies of "Venture", "Tempest Elite", and "Animal Keeper". All are fun games and I really wouldn't want to be without the first two. I did have an issue with "Venture" when I first got it but Lance at Video61 totally came through for me and replaced my copy with a new one. "Tempest Elite" is picky about which XL hardware that it likes to run on; it hates my earliest HK revision 800XL but runs just fine on my later Taiwanese made 800XL (and it has no issue with any of my RAM upgraded 600XLs). I have corresponded with Lance from Video61 on a number of occasions via email and I have always found him to be helpful and friendly; I genuinely like the guy.
  2. I got my two Pokeymaxs in the mail today. I haven't done any wiring yet but everything seems to be working fantastically as a straight Pokey replacement. One question : I thought that I had ordered a basic Stereo version but, instead, the Stereo Covox version showed up. Will this make any difference if I want to use the Pokeymax for just a simple stereo connection? Also, will I still need to attach both the A4 & A7 wires to the SALLY chip or just the A4? Thanks.
  3. I'm sure that this is going to be a dumb question but how do I go about creating an empty 2MByte ATR?
  4. Definitely one for now, for an 800XL. Possible one later, for a 600XL.
  5. Is this what you are looking for? I have had them sitting on my Ultimate Cart forever but haven't really ever done much with them. I cannot recall where I found them either. I ran a few with Altirra and they seemed to work just fine. Hope this helps. Williams Carts.zip

  7. I am a big fan of @tf_hh's internal 576K RAM upgrade board. It will likely do everything for you that you're looking for and is relatively inexpensive. However on an XE machine you will have to do a bit of desoldering and re-soldering work to install it, although this probably won't be a big deal if you were already planning on replacing some RAM chips anyway.
  8. I don't honestly know if I've ever used the 2/4MB setting on my ANTONIA. I generally just leave it at 576K or 1MB; both settings meet pretty much all of my needs. What I really do appreciate about the ANTONIA is that it has the 8 open configurable and easily selectable OS slots.
  9. Just wanted to pop in to give a public thanks to @bob1200xl for the MediaMate disk holder. My one old one was becoming hopefully overcrowded in recent days so this was greatly appreciated!
  10. Send Simius a PM. He always responds in a day or two.
  11. Fantastic! Glad to hear that you were able to get everything sorted out. Now go fill up those OS slots with some alternative Operating Systems!
  12. Is this an issue only with the 600XL or might it affect 800XLs too?
  13. I think that I did know that. Too large for the UNO Cart nonetheless.
  14. You need an 8MB MaxFlash cartridge or something like an Ultimate Cart than can run 8MB MaxFlash cartridge images.
  15. How is shipping from Poland to the United States going these days? I'd like to order one Stereo version and one U1MB Stereo version when shipping is available.
  16. Thanks for all of your help and work on this @drac030. Very much appreciated.
  17. Yes, very much so. The output is very comparable to what you would expect to see from an emulator connected to a modern TV via HDMI.
  18. You have to run a separate audio line out of your Atari. My television has a 3.5mm audio input jack that overrides everything else, whatever is plugged into it is what the TV speakers output. Apparently not all televisions are made this way though. A friend of mine also has a SOPHIA DVI installed in his XE and has to output the audio to a pair of external speakers. Here is a picture of my DVI and audio lines out of the back of my 600XL:
  19. Yep. That seems to have cleared up my problem too, as long as "D0" isn't selected on the SDrive-MAX (which I never use anyway). Thanks!
  20. @drac030 - This new version seems to have fixed everything on my end. Everything is apparently running perfectly now. Thanks!
  21. Thanks Jon. I managed to get the U1MB firmware running in Altirra with a similar configuration setup to the one that I have on my 800XL. With a little bit of experimentation I was able to save it as the default configuration too. Very cool.
  22. Do you find that you have trouble using the SIO2SD's onscreen menu while the SDrive-MAX is connected in serial via the splitter? Because I do. Both devices will communicate with each other just fine if I do not try to load the menu, so I am stuck with the device displays if I want to have both connected at the same time.
  23. Granted I have not done any of this yet but, if I wanted to change the U1MB settings in Altirra, would I still need to run a SpartaDOS X image and then run UFLASH with it in order to virtually flash the virtual U1MB? Would the procedure be exactly the same as if I were flashing real hardware?
  24. @drac030 - Everything seems to work on my end with ANTTEST3. I tested with the same eight Operating Systems that I used previously and had no issues that caused any interruptions or glitches in operation at all. OSa no longer causes the program to hang; the system now reboots after loading OSa as expected. The screen does still flash momentarily with garbage graphics while loading under OSa, OSb, and Oldrunner the same as it did in the video that I posted yesterday; screenshot posted below. However, this does not effect the loading process or program operation at all. It is only a very few momentary effects on screen and not problematic in any way. I do not see this effect under any other Operating System.
