  2. Does anybody have any issues of Computer Shopper magazine that they would be willing to trade scans of TI articles for Atari articles? You can see what issues I have by looking at my archive.org account below. https://archive.org/details/@allan52?query=computer+shopper
  3. It seems like the October 1987 disk Soulbuster posted is different than the disk I just posted. Since his was not from an original, I am guessing someone just took the programs the October issue.
  4. I purchased another two Compute Atari disks. April, 1988 and October-December, 1987. I made two copies of the April, 1988 disk. it has a bad sector. I don't know what program is affected. Maybe somebody could fix it. @Atari_Ace ? Anybody. Compute_disk_1988_April_copy_A.atr Compute_disk_1988_April_copy_B.atr Compute_disk_1987_Oct_Dec.atr
  5. June, 1987 issue up with program listings. https://archive.org/details/computer-shopper-jun-87-vol-7-no-6-atari-articles
  6. I just uploaded the January, 1987 issue: https://archive.org/details/computer-shopper-jan-87-vol-7-no-1-atari-articles You won't see the issue for a bit but you can still download the PDF of it now. There are two program listings in this issue.
  7. Please don't redo all the work @Atari_Ace has done. There are plenty of issues with programs that haven't been done including a few I haven't scanned yet due to lack of time. I will try to get to them ASAP. https://ksquiggle.neocities.org/columns/ata.htm#ata8501
  8. It never works. TRUST ME!! I have tried many times over the years. Maybe someday they will have a OCR program good enough.
  9. No. This has not been scanned. If you could scan it that would be fantastic.
  10. Here is PART of the Atari 8-bit and ST October, 1988 issue of Computer Shopper magazine. I did not put this up on Archive.org because it is incomplete. For those that think rot (as in bit-rot) can't happen to paper, here is proof that they are wrong. I do not like moths. Please archive your Atari disks, cassettes as well as your magazines, manuals, boxes, etc. before the disappear. Computer_Shopper_October_1988_Vol_8_Num_10_Atari_Articles.pdf
  11. I still need to scan the rest of the Computer Shopper issues I got but here is the last of the 1985 issues. https://archive.org/details/computer-shopper-october-1985-vol-5-num-10-atari-articles/mode/2up
  12. Part of the instructions from an eBay auction. Picture below. There is a second manual for something else related to the program. The Apple version is here. https://archive.org/details/Night_Mission_Pinball_Adjustment_Manual/mode/2up
  13. It plays on both 800 and XL/XEs and with or without Basic loaded, so the holding the option key or not at startup doesn't matter. It should work on all Atari 8-bits except an un-expanded 600XL or un-expanded 400. My guess is that your disk is bad. If your drive loads other programs without a problem that is probably it.
  14. @Andrew Davie What is the story of Xagon? Was this suppose to be published by a company but never was? Was it something the two of you did as a pre-homebrew?

  16. Sent you $20. Thanks for all the work. Hopefully this will inspire others to do this with their disks.
  17. Wow! Desk Set, a program on one of your disks, has a calendar that is Y2K compliant. Goodbye smart phone calendar. Hello Atari 130XE. Now we just need to make it Fujinet compatible, so my 130XE can check the weather and send my PC an email to tell me if I need to warm up/defrost my car in the morning.
  18. What would be cool to have is a diagnostic cartridge that you could test an ATR8000 with if you don't have any drives/disks for it.
  19. And the 'Your so awesome!!' award of the day goes to 16KRAM. Thank you so much.
  20. Could someone write an emulator to do this to see what this could look like? No I am not asking someone to do this, just wondering if it was theoretically possible.
  21. I picked up four more of these from 1987 and 1988. Will scan them soon.
  22. Is there any reference to this in any magazines or ads? I never even heard of this.
