I made a CD of it and listened to it on the way back from vacation. Very cool. I'm really sorry I didn't go. Can't wait to see the video. When I heard the last part my jaw dropped. It was something like "oh buy the way. Here's a box of emproms for you Curt. I don't know what's on them." Anybody want to take a guess at what's on the emproms? Remember, GCC did 2600 and 5200 games as well as 7800 games. 7800 Crystal Castles? Rescue on frac., Eidolon, Elavator Action, Jungle Hunt, Midi Maze, etc. or could this be unknown software for the computer modual? If I could pick what games would be found it would be Sinistar, or Elevator Action for the 5200. Hopefully there is something new on them. Allan

So basiclly this is a Cuttle Cart but instead of a cart it's on an expansion module, right? What do you plan on using as the case? As far as suggestions on what to add, how about the ability to store instructions on it like the Cuttle Cart? As for the ram, could this be used to increase the size of ram, aka, like bank switching? Has something changed recently that makes you think that you can do it now? The last I knew was that reproducing the MCU was to expensive so the only other option was to find the original source code to this chip and rewrite it for a less expensive/more modern one. Hopefully the GCC guys can help you out with this. Allan

All I can say is once you've played Castle Crisis with a 5200 'paddle' controller, you'll never want to go back. Allan

BZZZZZT! Not with the side port he ain't. Look at the schematics. That port basically only has video signals, and maybe a couple of CPU signals that aren't in the cartridge slot. The only way to get to the CPU bus without opening the case and soldering directly to the mother board is to make a pass-thru device (like the High Score Cart) that plugs into the cartridge slot. What about the 7800 keyboard? I think it used the joystick ports. You could you use just about any 800/xe/xl device as long as there was a driver written for it. That one goes the other way, lets you play 7800 games on a 5200. The difficulty switches are the easiest way to tell. He he he. Yea, your right. That's what happens when your tired. Although it really doesn't matter because it's just a preliminear design that probably doesn't work anyways. Plus you'd have to build it. Allan

Hey Kenfused, Just wanted to say thanks for not only making this great game but also posting all your progress with it. It was really great to see it get better and better. I can't wait to see what people do with the contest and ultimately can't wait to get it on cart with a cool label. It will go great right next to Castle Crisis. Any ideas on what your going to do next? I would love to see you post all your progress with your next project as you did with Beef Drop. Please consider it no matter what game or system you program for. Although I hope you do another 5200 game. If you need a break from a big project you could always do a few more conversion as well. I still have my original 4-port 5200 that I had moded to work with the VCS adapter. It still has the sticker on the bottom from the repair shop. Allan

Castle Crisis is fantastic. I loved playing Koffi when it first came out. Have to go back to that one soon. I've ben playing Satan's Hallow and Tapper a lot lately. We need Burger Drop on a cart so everybody can enjoy it on the real thing. Allan
