Bought a bunch of VIC-20 stuff from Noob124 recently. Amazingly friendly and went out of his way to make sure he had everything in complete (or near complete) condition before sending it out. Would do business with him again in a heartbeat (and most likely will!)

The reason to hate certain ebay resellers
CannibalCat replied to Atari_Bill's topic in Auction Central
I've bought from one of the mentioned sellers... sure the asking prices are insane, but for an item I really wanted I put in a "Best Offer" just for laughs (it was almost 3x less than what they were asking) and they accepted the offer (without even a counteroffer). Just goes to show that these "horrible" resellers can be negotiated with into reasonable terms sometimes. It used to piss me off as well to see the insane asking/buy it now prices, but if I can make a reasonable offer I will try! -
This game is awesome... addictive as hell!

That's pretty fun, just tried it. Like the music on the title screen. Banana AI is good (and tough). Nice job! -

DevOS RAM Cart Transfer Question
CannibalCat replied to CannibalCat's topic in Atari 7800 Programming
This later version of 7800ctrl did the trick! Now it transfers all 32K but when I select "Play 7800 Game" from the DevOS menu and hit RESET, black screen... isn't that the correct procedure? -
DevOS RAM Cart Transfer Question
CannibalCat replied to CannibalCat's topic in Atari 7800 Programming
Graham, thanks for the tips... I will try it out again tonight when I get home. I never did get it to work and ended up building an EPROM cart (w/Pokey) instead, works fine but a pain to erase/burn when I want to try on the real HW! -
The gradient feature is awesome. Nice job

Yeah looks good to me! Imagic are only 2nd to Activision in the awesome game/graphics dept on the 2600 for me... so not sure what that dude was trying to say. But I agree, he doesn't know much of anything about our beloved console!

Pretty cool game, has a "Space Cavern" kinda feel to it. Was this done in assembly or batari basic?

Atari 7800XM and the Yamaha YM2151 sound chip
CannibalCat replied to JonnyBritish's topic in Atari 7800 Programming
Some of the best YM2151 based music was done on earlier Williams Pinball machines (powered by the 6809 CPU), Chris Granner was the master of the YM2151, check out the samples here: http://www.cgmusic.net/archives.html Impressive little chip in the right hands!
