    Great set of homebrew games. I am missing a few. Really expensive to pick those up second hand. I am regretting passing on Neo XYX and Knight's Chance initially.

    I started buying MVS many years ago before the prices went up since I had an arcade cabinet. I would typically pay $20-$30 a game. People weren't doing the consolized MVS then. They are more now but still not that bad for most games. If you try to buy the complete MVS kits things get expensive since operators didn't keep that stuff. There are a lot of good games available for it. It is worth it. :-)

    Should have called it D3K and people would have been all over it. Ship the game sealed so nobody ever opens and plays it.

    I have a new 2600 controller coming out soon (probably June). I have most of the parts in. It will be expensive though. Similar in dimensions and look to the original controllers, but using high end parts like the 7800 ones I made.     Neo Geo rocks! Glad the Neo is discussed here. Atari Age is my favorite retrogaming site by far. People in general seem more polite here.

    Hey guys, I am happy to finally announce the Grand Ole Gameroom Expo. It is taking place November 11-13, 2016 at the Franklin Marriott Cool Springs right outside Nashville, TN. We have 20,000 sq ft of event space. It is primarily an Arcade and Pinball Expo, but we plan to run some console game tournaments as well.     I find it strange that the person who originally worked on the game needs help seeing if the discs are still good. So he forgot how to use an old computer?

    I am not sure who is working on the Hokey chip, but I have heard the rumors for a long time. It just seems like another project that people are holding out for. Hopefully it works out, but nobody is going to get rich producing Pokey replacement chips. I can't imagine it is a high priority for anybody.

    I liked a lot of the NES games. Operation Wolf, Gotcha, Freedom Force. Crossbow on Atari XE is great. The Sega Saturn Stunner with Virtua Cop is awesome. Dreamcast Mad Catz gun and HOTD 2 also great. House of the Dead Overkill on Wii is fantastic. Had so much fun playing that.

    I have made 6 with the joystick on the right side. More than I expected. They will obviously be worth more down the road since they are rare.

    Yep, you got it. You can also change the actuator to modify the throw of the stick and heaviness of the spring. Those are just held in with a clip. You get very different results when you change these around. This is all driven by the custom joysticks market for fighting games.

    The joysticks that switch from 8 to 4 from the top are not very good. However since I use the Sanwa JLF you can snap on a different restrictor plate like the 4 way one or the square gated one. You may like one of those better for 4 way games. You can get them online for maybe $5. Just 4 tabs hold the plate on. Very easy to switch. Not a perfect solution to have to swap them, but also not difficult.

    Very cool box. Can the boxes be ordered separately if you already have a copy of the game or are you only selling them as an add on for new orders?

    The Holy Grail is that game, console, accessory that you really want right now but can't find anywhere. For me it changes based on whatever game or system I am into at the moment. For example I collect arcade games and would love to find a Sega Ninja Princess. I have looked for many years and can't find one anywhere. Other people may not give a flip about that game.

    I don't recall the actual dates I got these but it would have to be either The Black Cauldron on Atari ST or Hang On/Astro Warrior on the Sega Master System. I owned Vic 20 games, MSX, and Atari 2600 games back then probably before these but I don't have them anymore. Everything I got as a kid after the Master System I still have.

    I finally watched the documentary. I really liked it. I wanted more information, but it did a good job. There have been so many pointless video game documentaries lately that I enjoyed finally seeing one that actually had a point and was entertaining at the same time. Also it is on Netflix right now so you can't beat that.

    The one aspect of homebrew collecting I have really enjoyed is the Atari 7800 games Bob created. He released them as cart only which made them very reasonable. They are also great games. So that has been the one system I buy every homebrew for. It is also the ones I play most. I don't worry about messing them up by playing them. There are no boxes to crease up. For some reason when I get a cib homebrew game a lot of times I don't open it up right away and play it. It goes right on the shelf. When I get a cart only game in the mail I open and play it.

    Yeah, if you are going for a complete collection then you have to be in all the way. If you can focus on just one system then you are probably ok. I want complete collections. I just can't afford it. I also buy current gen games so I get into the struggle of buy this new Wii U game that looks amazing or buy this game for a really old system in a homemade box. It becomes a hard sell. Then you have NES games where you have homebrews, hacks, English translations, and there are lots of good games to pick up, but the amount of stuff people are making available is overwhelming.
