  1. How does one terrorize cyclists, blow diesel exhaust in their faces, run SIX of them over and not get arrested???

That sounds disturbing, given that I rode my bike to work almost every day for over 15 years. I only stopped due to working from home since the pandemic.

Who knows.  2 years ago when my wife and I bought out house, 2 kids crashed through the back corner of our back yard fence which tangentially touches another road.  They were 18 and 19 years old.  Neither of them had a license.  There was no insurance on the car.  The one driving didn't have permission to have the car out from the owner.  They were both underage to be drinking. They both had been drinking. They had open/partially filled as well as empty containers in the car.  The police were there within 2 minutes and a witness was there and saw everything that was in the car /came out of the car besides me and my wife AND the police.  Neither of them was arrested. Neither of them was even cited.  One ran home to his parents on the next block over(which led me to the discovery that we have at least one lifetime welfare gaming family in the neighborhood after talking with long time neighbors), the other kid was released to his mom. The cops gave me a case number in case I wanted to take them to small claims court.   I did glean the address/name of the mother of the kid who was released to her.   I approached both sets of parents to give them a chance to do the right thing, but knowing full well that would get nowhere.  Both of their responses were variations of "well he's 18/19 so we can't really do anything".   Really?  Your paying his rent/food/phone bill and you can't really do anything.  I had to handle the justice on the kid two streets over my own way, and the plan for the other kid is still in the works.  I will be punishing both sets of parents when I move from the area in a few years as well.  Good job cops....

It's Monday and they still haven't arrested the driver yet. "It is still under investigation." WTF
