  1. Hi everybody, please check out the like-new 3D imager and sealed vectrex system I have up for auction here: eBay Auction -- Item Number: 390324768379 Me and a friend recently purchased a huge collection which included all but 3 vectrx games, sealed system, like new light pen and 3D imager. We need to sell all the vectrex stuff because we both are in debt. Check out the auctions, the stuff is really nice. If anyone is interested in any of the loose vectrex games with manuals and overlays, please send me a pm. Prices on the buy-it-now vectrex stuff is negotiable.
  2. Unless you are going to play 4 player games I would suggest getting the 2-port version. It doesn't use the stupid switch box that connects both the power and rf output. In my experience it much easier to hook up.
  3. Played the new TMNT fighting game tonight, big dissapointment

  5. I second this, nothing smells as good as new magic cards. I personally don't think new games have a distinct smell i can recognize, maybe its just me. There are some genesis games that have a certain smell that I just hate, its like a cheap perfumy type of smell.
  6. Same here in Rhode Island, its getting much harder to find classic stuff, especially good stuff with case and manual. Alot of flea market vendors and salvation armies/goodwills ask more and more for older games just because they see that the demand is there. The main problem with this is that they will have a bunch of common or loose games that they want like 5-8$ each, and at that price its just not worth it (especially considering loose genesis carts are worth very little). The worst is when the people at salvation army have no idea what its worth, but they are SURE that its worth ALOT. One time the clerk at a local savlation army had a panasonic 3d0 loose, no cords or controllers and it wasnt priced, and I offered 20$, and the guy was like "man this is worth way more". I couldnt believe his reaction. Its like they don't even want to sell this stuff sometimes. Also I think that alot of people who start out collecting classic games start with NES and SNES and generally think that sega genesis just sucks in comparison. After they realize that the genesis has a huge library and a good amount of good games they change their mind and want to collect it. Once they play gunstar heroes they get hooked. One thing that I love about collecting genesis is that the plastic cases don't get damaged easily, and it so simple to remove stickers from genesis cases without damaging them. Its such a chore collecting complete games that come in cardboard boxes because they get crushed so easily.
  7. Thanks for the input so far! Let me know what you think of the pictures. When I was getting out the Dynamite Digitizer I noticed this copy of Time Pilot with a white label. Any input on this would be appreciated.
  8. Hi, I'm rather new to these forums. I'm not a huge Atari fan (I like 5200 a lot), but I am a huge Coleco fan. I have a few Coleco/Adam questions I am hoping you guys can help me out with. 1.I have an Adam computer with 2 tape drives and I was wondering if it is possible to make copies of super game packs to back them up? I have a a few games including Quest for Quintana, Super Sub roc and a few others that I don't want to damage, but I would like to play from time to time. I assume I would need to use an empty data cassette, and I do think I have one or 2. I also have a bunch of Adam cassettes with junk programs on them, would it be possible to format these and use them? 2.When using ColecoVision carts with the Adam computer, is it necessary to turn the printer power off when changing games? Can I just switch over to the word processor and switch games, or will this possibly damage the carts? I remember my dad telling me once on an Atari 2600 he removed a game while the power was on and it fried/damaged the cart. 3.I have a Dynamic Sound Digitizer cartridge with the Adam cassette that goes with it. Is this rare? I can't find any information about it anywhere. I also have a Cosmic Crisis ColecoVision game by BIT Corp. The Digital Press rarity guide puts this at a R9 and says 'Questionable whether it actually exists. Be aware that Adam's House makes very good copies.' How would I know if this a copy by Adam's house, would there be some distinction on the cart? 4.On the Super Action controllers, what is the spinning knob below the keypad used for? Does it calibrate it or change settings with the game? I can't seem to play a good game of Defender, the ship sometimes doesn't move, and after fidgeting with the dial the ship will move for a little bit then stop. Thanks in advance!
