Wouldn't that create a break in the space/time continuum?

I just played and wow!!! It's fantastic. I don't have a real trackball, just the old Wico one, but I played with a stick and it worked great. One note based on my NTSC/VBXE 800XL - per your list, the display is cut off on real hardware - at least on my JVC Broadcast CRT. Amazing game. Always one of my favourites.

What are the 8-bit computers by Atari like?
Atari8guy replied to Van Halbgott's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
If I had only one stock A8, I would want a PAL 130XE. Just my two cents. -
where can I found out more about Contiki working with Fujinet?

FujiNet and Subcart - Should I expect any issues?
Atari8guy replied to JohnFante's topic in #FujiNet SIO Network Adapter
I've done it and didn't experience any issues, but do take mozzwald's sage advice. -
I feel that's representative of my actual golf game.

What do you use your ST (series) for?
Atari8guy replied to Larry's topic in Atari ST/TT/Falcon Computers
So here is an oddball use... I use it to program in Alice Pascal, which was a Pascal Variant developed near where I grew up that we learned in high school on PC's. The ST is the only other system that got a port of it. Short Version: Nostalgic Programming. -
Alternate History: What Atari Could Have Done Differently?
Atari8guy replied to pcrow's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
Yeah, a better question would be, what is the scenario where PC doesn't become dominant? and we still have something like the fragmented market of the late 70s early 80s? -

This is where Tramiel's approach was needed in 1979/80. Capture as much market share as possible, as early as possible. Not sure it would have overcome the brand name issue, but maybe selling C64 like numbers early goes a long way to giving the world a diversified view of the company. Afterall Microsoft now makes XBox. -

The 80286 came out in 82, maybe a 16 bit system based on that, at that time, coupled with custom chips for graphics and sound and there is a way Atari stays relevant in the personal computer space. -

That shaft is my nemesis, I never make it through without losing at least 1 life. -
Thanks for doing all this. I enjoyed the article about Mapping the 64 being written on Atariwriter. Love trivia like that. Page 14 of the Feb 85 Issue, for anyone looking.

The Last Word, SIDE 2, Fujinet and Saving Files
Atari8guy replied to Atari8guy's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
So I thought to change the Fujinet Divisor, but I didn't change U1MB. Of course, now that I have, it is working fine. You should add "Award Winning Technical Support" to the list of TLW accolades. Thank you!!! -
I have a puzzle I haven't been able to figure out. Here is my issue: I want to save a file to a disk image on drive 1 or 2 on Fujinet from TLW. TLW hangs when I attempt to do this, it does create a file, but its 0 sectors and can't be opened. I have spent some time troubleshooting and I have discovered that saving a file ANYWHERE other than the directory that I load TLW from causes this hang and creates the empty file. So has anyone had this issue before? Details about my setup. U1MB - up to date firmware VBXE installed - I used TLW 3.3 RC1 I use a SIDE2 cart and load up SDX (current version) and run TLW from D3: in a subdirectory named LW. I always load LW using the X LW.EXE command From SDX, I can move files around to the Fujinet and other Drives (like D4:) without issue, I can even load that file back into TLW, but if I try to save it, no dice. Lotharek Fujinet with most up to date firmware. Thoughts?

Build in the the VBXE? (didn't see that as an option to vote for). Also - if it's in FPGA 4x is nice but how about 65816 ?

Samsung SC1224 connection wth 1088xld VBXE or Sophia v2
Atari8guy replied to AtariGeezer's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
I did a VBXE and SAVO install over the winter and use a PVM. What I can share is I learned a lot about the signals just by reading the SAVO installation guide, even if you don't install a SAVO it covers several different output options. The SAVO is really just a way to prevent a case mod, the signal manipulation is all listed in the guides. (I'd answer your question, but I promptly forgot everything after completing the mod).
