1- Replaced Joystick with D-pad on one 2600 controller
2- Made NES controller compatible with 2600
3- Modded Flashback 2 to play atari games (gave it to my brother afterwards)
I've been thinking of making an Atari 2600 review, so I decided to work on a 2 to 3 part review. Part 1 will just be a review of the console itself, the other 2 will be the games.
So, any ideas or suggestions for the review?
Why would you want to? Regular Atari sticks are a dime a dozen, and even the Flashback 2 sticks are a lot cheaper.
I dunno, just to do something out of boredom
What mods did you do.
I'd say a little solder to put the rf connection back on the board? Probably a can of compressed air? Maybe a quick shake after putting it back together? WHALLAH! Good as new. Seriously the biggest problem I have come across with 2600's is the TIA chip. Sometimes just pop it out and pop it right back in. Other times it needs replaced. Oh the good ol' black screen of death. That's another story though.
Meh, I just put a Phono to F inside the Atari and replaced the original cable with a standard RF cable.
Well, just comes to show how most of today's kids do not appreciate the classics
I'm glad to be a 13 year old who appreciate the classic games, and not be like the rest
