  1. Can anyone recommend someone/somewhere that will diagnose and repair Atari STs and TTs? I'd prefer somewhere in the US (as that's where I am) but I might be willing to go international. I've just realized I'll never have the time to do this myself -- it's been like 14 years since it died after all. Thanks in advance. Cheers.
  2. Mine appears to be dead. Desperately searching for a verified functional replacement. This would be a US TT - NTSC. I have good money if anyone can help me out.
  3. Thanks for your cool-headed approach to this So, I've already opened the puppy up and disconnected the HDD and the FDD. I've tried configurations with _just_ the FDD and _just_ the HDD. I've seated all the socketed ICs -- basically pressing out the slack that they'd accumulated over time. In the midst of this process of course the TT went from 20 bombs to 9 bombs after seeing the Fuji (only once however) to 30+ mangled bombs to the point now where on cold boot-up I get a white screen with some vertical green mini-bars here and there (always in the same pattern). If I press reset after this then I just get a white screen. I was of the mindset (after reading the Field Service Manual) that this may be a piece (or pieces) of bad ST RAM -- but that's really just guessing I suppose. A guy I know had also suggested testing the outputs of the PSU. I'd love to give that a show but how the hell do you disconnect the molex type power bus connector from the motherboard anyway? I tried for like half an hour last weekend and couldn't get the damn thing off. I'm kind of afraid I'll break something if I try any harder -- LOL. I was also thinking it might be worthwhile to buy the diag cart for the TT -- looks to be about $50 which is better than the $$$ for a new MB.
  4. I think I'm hosed but I thought I'd toss this out in the case that anyone has any creative ideas I can try or possibly some replacement parts they might want to sell. Let me explain -- My TT030 has been running fine for some time now but when I came home this evening and tried to use it I noticed that it had crashed. Black screen and wouldn't "wake up" so I power-cycled it and it immediately came up with 20 bombs. Every subsequent boot did exactly the same. Damn. I've tried disconnecting the hard-disk. Same story. I then proceeded to open up the TT for some chip reseating. Once I'd pushed all the chips down things seem to only get worse. I'm getting bombs intermittently now and garbage on the screen for the rest of the boots. Double-damn. It's not like I haven't reseated chips before. I don't really know where to go now. The only thing I can think of is to replace the MB or the TT. Ideas? Anyone have a spare TT MB they'd like to sell?
