Thanks for your cool-headed approach to this
So, I've already opened the puppy up and disconnected the HDD and the FDD. I've tried configurations with _just_ the FDD and _just_ the HDD.
I've seated all the socketed ICs -- basically pressing out the slack that they'd accumulated over time.
In the midst of this process of course the TT went from 20 bombs to 9 bombs after seeing the Fuji (only once however) to 30+ mangled bombs to the point now where on cold boot-up I get a white screen with some vertical green mini-bars here and there (always in the same pattern). If I press reset after this then I just get a white screen.
I was of the mindset (after reading the Field Service Manual) that this may be a piece (or pieces) of bad ST RAM -- but that's really just guessing I suppose.
A guy I know had also suggested testing the outputs of the PSU. I'd love to give that a show but how the hell do you disconnect the molex type power bus connector from the motherboard anyway? I tried for like half an hour last weekend and couldn't get the damn thing off. I'm kind of afraid I'll break something if I try any harder -- LOL.
I was also thinking it might be worthwhile to buy the diag cart for the TT -- looks to be about $50 which is better than the $$$ for a new MB.
